  1. I'm participating in the bar hop tour that was recommended in this forum. The tour website mentions the tour starts at Senor Frogs downtown. Are there two locations for this place? According to the cruise schedule, there will be five other ships in port besides Prima. Is there a pier that NCL usually docks at? Trying to determine if it's possible to walk to this Senor Frogs in downtown?
  2. I'm looking to use the specialty dining credit on my upcoming sailing. Went into the NCL app and well, every special venue is booked for early dining and in some cases, the venue is booked all the way up to late evening. I also noticed the party size is 2. The Japanese venue on Prima seems to have a few openings for early dining on embarkation day. What's the chance of just booking what's available and then checking in at the venue once on board to see about getting in earlier? Is a la carte covered under the specialty dining credit? This is the first time I've had it added so this will be a new experience.
  3. @BenCoudonCatching up on the posts. I'm sailing on prima at the end of next month, and i found your review informative. I'm concerned though about being able to see the shows in the theater as well as the in the improv venue. I'll be in one of the solo cabins so hopefully the solo coordinator can assist with booking a show if needed (or maybe there will be a night when the solo group sees one of the shows). Any tips for seeing shows in the improv venue?
  4. What I recall from the last time I sailed out of Miami (Escape in 2018) was that it was advisable to get to the port early and try to get a low boarding group number. The idea was that the lower boarding group number provided the opportunity to get in board and reserve shows such as those in the main theater. The comedy shows I recall being open and the best bet was to get there like 30 minutes or so before the show and get in line. Once the venue reached capacity, it was standby. I had planned on staying in the Miami area but now it looks like I'll be coming in from further North. I was feeling like an 11:00 arrival time at the bright line station with shuttle to the port might be too late of an arrival whereas getting to the station at 10 with transfer to the port shuttle would be more of an ideal time to arrive.
  5. I'm trying to determine on average what time boarding would start for silver latitude non haven. My travel plans seem to keep changing, so it's looking like I'd be arriving in Miami around 10AM on embarkation day. Would there be much of a wait after checking in before getting on board?
  6. @casofilia Now I understand when looking in the app, that all excursions are already showing the discount price and then adding something to the cart applied the latitude discount.
  7. That is the excursion but it definitely doesn't show in my NCL app as costing $129. It says $79 (shore excursion credit will be applied) so I'm expecting it to only be $29 which would be the difference.
  8. Maybe I was doing this wrong. I opened the NCL app, selected my sailing reservation, went to shore excursions and selected the excursion I wanted. After selecting the time slot, I added it to the cart. It's in the cart where it discounts the excursion from $79 to $71.10. I have not gone to the payment section since the correct price isn't showing (79-50 = 29)
  9. I have a shore excursion credit for my booking on Prima. I'm not sure of what it's supposed to be, but I'm looking at an excursion that's in Belize which costs $79. I added the excursion to the cart and I'm paying $71. Is the credit seriously only $8? According to what I've researched, the credit should be $50.
  10. I searched for what to do in grew Costa Maya cruise port and came upon a search result for getting a port pass which supposedly provides access to three places at or near the port. The page said that tickets can be obtained from the cruise line or at the pier. Had anyone done this before? I didn't see what the cost was for this.
  11. I ended up booking the bar hop tour that I saw mentioned here in the forums. Hopefully that turns out to be enjoyable.
  12. I've been checking periodically on the app for available onboard bookings but it has always stated "Not available to book." I asked NCL about this and they show the same from their end. I'd like to check out Vibe (at least one day). I'm on Prima in November. I booked Bliss for April '23 and even though that's several months out from now, it seems Bliss is showing the same thing as Prima. Is this now solely booked online or can you go to the service desk upon embarkation?
  13. I was considering the Tulum ruins excursion, but after reading some of the details, it seems like maybe that's not the best thing to consider. All day excursion, round trip ferry and bus, fine print indicates a fee for pictures from all devices, and masking (is that still a requirement on tours?). Is there anything to do for most of the day near the port? Is there perhaps an excursion closer to the port?
  14. I wasn't aware of the bright line shuttle. I assume they'll also do pickups at the terminals to bring passengers back to the train on disembark day?
  15. Cruising out of Miami in November but staying in Fort Lauderdale (due to costs). I'm planning to take bright line from Fort Lauderdale and it looks like from Google maps that the Miami station is maybe about three blocks to the Bayside area. Is it possible to walk into the port or is the best option going to be to get an Uber to from bright line to the port?
  16. What about Vibe? I thought the process had changed and that was now something that could be booked ahead of time.
  17. The is the first time I've actually thought about looking into this. Will be going on Prima in November. Currently everything on board is either in a status of not available to book or reservations not offered. Is it too early for this? Is it because NCL is still getting things finalized with Prima or did I miss out by waiting too long?
  18. I didn't necessarily want to request an upgrade which is what the link is. I was interested in knowing more about it since this is the first time I've received this message.
  19. I've been on several cruises now and am scheduled for the prima in November. I've already made the final payment, but NCL sent me an offer for upgrades. Are these offers the bidding that I've seen referenced here? The email I have just has a link to start the upgrade, but they listed prices such as a balcony for $120/per person or $75 per person for an Oceanview. I'm in a studio right now. I don't think I've ever been offered the opportunity to upgrade. Are these starting prices? Would I have to pay double occupancy for upgrading?
  20. While browsing the site using Chrome, it seems that after viewing a certain number of posts, that all the sudden the site no longer works until I clear the cache and cookies and reload the site. Firefox on the other hand has the same issue, but only after viewing just one post. I should maybe mention that these symptoms are occurring on the site while using a work computer. The site certainly is blocked, but it does become an annoyance when I'm wanting to check out a few forum posts and all the sudden I get an error page indicating the URL could not be retrieved, and I have to reload the page.
  21. I'm still a few months out from my next cruise, but I'm trying to get an understanding of what the "new" boarding process is like. It used to be that the idea was to get to the terminal as early as possible, check in, and get and try to get a low boarding group number. Are there now pre determined time slots at which you arrive and complete the check in? Also, as far as vax requirements, are boosters a requirement?
