We are booked on Arvia in April. Lots of ' casual ' dining options. That will do for us as we aren't too bothered about the MDR. It's only food and I doubt we will go hungry. Lots of OBC ,so Glass House, beach house and the others will do for us.
We were walking off the ship in Tenerife
I said to DW " Is it me, or is that smell coming from our ship ?". She said its normally you. It seems to come from the front of the ship when in port.
When we get to our car, we have an hour drive home. We leave the cabin as late as we can, nice leisurely breakfast, go down to the baggage shed. Many cases are gone by then, so fairly easy to retrieve. Normally not navy people queuing to get their car keys. Why all this rush ?.
That's why folk book PE, which TUI market as 38". Taking a booking from folk who will only fly PE for whatever reason and then saying, sorry folk 31" in economy is what you will get is not acceptable. To the extent of not making future long haul booking with P&O. However it is dressed up, it is a very poor showing.
Our last fly cruise was to the Canaries on Azura. About £2,500 in a balcony with £300 OBC. Our Menorca week was £1150. Both deluxe balconies. We had a Travel agent special from Malta on Azura for £1500 in a balcony, but they don't crop up too often. We have never had an inside, no window room in a hotel.
We have taken 30+odd cruises on various lines. Have we enjoyed every aspect of every cruise ? Probably not. Anything of any consequence we remember......???...Oh ! Did I mention my toe ?.
We mix our holiday types around. We just got back from a week at an AI hotel in Menorca. Food was quite good, entertainment quite good and it was about half the price if a cruise. One drawback was that you went onto the balcony in the morning, the hotel was in the same location.
