  1. Last time we used Epicurian it was dead. Good food, but a sterile atmosphere
  2. Epicurian had 2 menus, 1 DW didn't like and the other only a couple of things. Last time we ate there nothing was prepared at the table. All was dished up already plated. No theatre, decent food, but not ' special '.
  3. Chops for us and Cagney's on NCL. We found Beach House and Glass House on Azura are getting good as well.
  4. Thanks ( I think ). We had 3 cruises last year on 3 different lines. I can't remember much about queues, apps, etc. I recall Celebrity as being better than RC and P&O, but can't really tell you why. I look through my photos and remember the lovely places we visited and the lovely people we met ( you know who you are ). I remember all those Lbs I put on. Perhaps I have a selective memory, but would repeat any of our cruises again. App, or no app.😁
  5. Our first P&O cruise was on Britannia. Next P&O ship was Iona. On Azura this week we were aft. When we got off the lift at the wrong end .....Blimey, its quite long 🤣
  6. We like to eat about 7.00. Finish....whenever. If there's time wander around to see pulse, or someone singing before wandering along to the 10.30 show. Thanks for your advice. We will certainly avoid 8. 30pm
  7. Our next cruise with P&O is December. Goodness knows what procedures will be the norm then. But as that Chinese bloke said ' may you live in interesting times '.
  8. We normally do the 10.30 show. We like to get settled a bit early, say 10 minutes out of consideration to other folk. Last cruuse we walked up,picked a seat and enjoyed the show. No queue ,ever. We didn't notice many folk who had been camped out for 45 minutes
  9. On Azura in February we booked all the entertainment on the app. This week it was just walk up. Both worked quite well. Neither resulted in a queue. TBH I'm not bothered which.
  10. I can't remember the halcyon days where every thing revolved around me. If the procedure is to book in advance, we will do that. If it is to turn up at the restaurant front desk and be given a table or a pager, no problem. Book on the app ?...Will do. We have done all of the above and got fed and entertained. If everyone wanted the same procedure, life would be easy for P&O, but they don't. We just go with the flow. If it doesn't suit us we will flow somewhere else.
  11. Folk have been longing for the return of spontaneity. I want to go to dinner when I want and see the show I want without all the faff of prebooking was the cry....P&O have listened to the punters. Now it seems that folk didn't want that spontaneity after all. So it seems that some folk don't really know what they want, but blame P&O's IT.
  12. We got off Azura a few days ago. Speciality restaurants and entertainment weren't available to book pre cruise. I suspect that this is a change to policy rather than a glitch. Entertainment and MDR are just show up. Just as folk have been longing for. Specialities are book on the app, but be quick as they fill up fast. Back to normal, just as folk have been wishing.
  13. If I do the " math " I will probably get the same answer.....Fraud ?.....not.
  14. We cancelled an excursion on Azura. The money was refunded to my card by the time we got back to the cabin. Fraud ?.......no.
  15. We did that trip with P&O in October. I seem to recall it was cheaper.
  16. Graham. At this rate you will soon be Diamond+ on the NHS.🤣
  17. Come on Vamps. How about a selfie🤣
  18. Now yer talking . I'll have a look around Azura this evening. If I find one I'll release him from the plastic bag. Cruel if you ask me. Looks more like Donald Trump than Donald Duck.🤔
  19. I thought Aurora was adult only, or were they grown up grumpy ducks. I bet they have more sophisticated ducks on Fred ,or Saga.🤣
  20. Santorini today on Azura. We are skipping posh night, so will eat in the Glass House with the ordinary folk.
  21. MDR breakfast this morning. A happy start to the day.
  22. Small correction. Purely in the Interests of research I experienced the bubble and squeak with the pork belly in the MDR last night. Might repeat the experience another night. It was quite OK, but not a true bubble.🤣
  23. This thread reinforces how important the whole dining " experience " is to some folk. Quick buffet breakfast this morning, hoho to Athens. Back at 3pm a quick snack in the buffet and up in the su shine for a couple of hours. Dinner in MDR about 7 and hope that it doesn't take too long. Stuff we want to do this evening. A pleasant meal is all that we require, not an "Experience:."
