  1. This was our 8th cruise. Second on Celebrity, last cruise April 2018. We are in our mid-60's, and active. We wore masks where ever there were crowds, took the stairs when ever we could, and went to fitness center 4 days out of 10. We did five excursions, one on each island. Our overall experience was positive. Staff were always friendly. Nice to see cleaning going on everywhere. OVC had plenty of food choices (breakfast and lunch – never went to dinner there), and food was at correct temperature. Morning pastries in OVC were dried out and tasteless. There was also quite a bit of food waste due to people overloading their plates. It was disappointing that the main dining room menu choices were reduced. There were some nights we were limited to only one item we cared for, and did have to repeat a few apptz. Everything we ate was good to very good. Dinner desserts were good, but would like to see more Lava Cakes, and less chocolate cake. Only did one night at specialty dining – Quisine. It was fun, not interested in doing it again. We enjoy the dining room experience with same staff every night (late seating). We used all Celebrity excursions, and the directions from staff as to where to meet onshore were not completely clear. Each excursion was well planned, and mostly enjoyed. Chair hogs need to be dealt with so other paying passengers can get a chair. Celebrity needs to make a better effort clearing people's stuff. I also suggest going back to checking out and returning towels. This will eliminate towels carelessly left on chairs after people leave. So many people just don't care about anyone but themselves. Most passengers were friendly, but there are always some who have the “me-me-me" attitude. Average age of passengers was 70 plus. There were many carts, walkers and ankle boots around the ship. Production shows were not interesting to us. The Magician/illusionist was very good. The female singer/impressionist was very good. Silent disco was the most fun. The music around the ship seemed repetitive and needed to be changed more. It would be nice to hear Caribbean music more. We did sit, dance and listen to the music around the deck 3 Foyer and Sky Lounge a few times. We had a balcony cabin on deck 9-hump. Cabin was fine for two people. Stateroom Attendant - Pia - was very friendly and extremely dedicated to doing her job at the highest level. It was a pleasure to see her smiling face every day. Dining room Waiter - Kiene - and Assistant waiter - Taka - were very good and we enjoyed our service very much. They were knowledgeable and friendly. Use of App was fair, sometimes froze, and not always up to date. It was nice to have to pre-view dinner menus and activities. Texting option was not available at beginning of cruise but the next week it started working. We also found out that each person had to have separate email account and PWD on their phone to text each other even though we were in same cabin on same onboard account. We were not aware of that until we visited the help desk on Day 8. Basic included Wi-Fi was acceptable for emails and some web browsing. Any website that was heavy in graphics or videos would not load (example: msn.com). Cruise Critic loaded but all distorted. Was mostly not able to text with wi-fi calling on and using ship’s wi-fi. It seemed to vary. Sometimes I could send simple text and get a response, sometimes it would just not send. And I could not send text with a picture. I used all CC recommended Android phone settings. Overall, we would cruise again with Celebrity and did visit Future Cruise Desk and put down a $100 deposit for a South Pacific trip. I'll be glad to answer questions. I have pictures but have not organized them yet. I hope my comments help others.
  2. I was on this cruise. Could get emails, view some websites...but videos or sites that had heavy graphics/videos would not load. (Example: msn.com). Could not stream Pandora music. But was able to connect and view real-time images from home Arlo security camera.
  3. Are the 2-top tables by the windows right next to other tables or are they more separated? We sail on the Equinox soon, just curious. Thanks
  4. Just wondering if OP got blocked out of CC and X because she went way over Data usage limits. With all the drink pictures and so many others.....maybe IT determined she abused her data allowance which slows down everyone else's data use.
  5. Yes, it still shows 11am. We will wait until the day before to fill out health questions. We are not clicking on the other Wellness times. Thanks.
  6. Sorry, must have been auto correct! We sail APRIL 34.
  7. We are sailing August 24th on Equinox. We checked in 3 weeks ago and got 11 am time. Now this morning we got an App message saying we had to pick a Wellness check-in time. Options were 2:00 or 2:30. Do we have to pick another time for that? This is confusing. Thanks.
  8. Thanks for the answers. I knew the times were 7 and 9, I was just trying to plan ahead on what shows - what nights. I assumed also that shows might change on the fly but was hoping I could see at least the planned shows a few weeks in advance in the App. We depart April 24th. Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the response. I had found 7 and 9 times, but also wanted to know which shows (production themed, comedy, etc) were on which nights so I can plan dinner for a particular night. Does each type of show appear in the App at some point before cruise, or does the App not show the type of show.? Thanks.
  10. I tried searching for this but got 26,000+ hits. Didn't read them all but didn't see anything close to an answer. Anyone know show times for this ship in April? I have checked the App and there isn't any listed. I would like to schedule a special dinner but not at a time of a show. Do they appear in the App the week before sailing? Thanks.
  11. OK, just so I got this right: Both people in cabin who booked AI, will have access to ship wi-fi on their own device using new wi-fi account set up on ship using sea pass card number, username and pwd? Both people can use App on their own phone and will use the Celebrity main account log in info?
  12. Thankyou. We will enjoy a few hours of sailing on a catamaran.
  13. Going to St Lucia in April, would like to visit Pitons via boat tour. Does anyone know the type of boat (Catamaran maybe) that this Celebrity tour vendor uses? We prefer catamaran and not speed boat. Thanks.
  14. Ridiculous new test procedures. Watch all the careless-don't Care about fellow humans --scam their tests. Then watch cases go way up, cruise lines get in big trouble again, and we start this all over again. Come on people do the right thing!
  15. Do your fellow flyer and cruiser a BIG favor and don't travel. Get credit and rebook soon. Good Luck.
  16. I read somewhere a few weeks ago that show times had changed to 7:30 and 9:30pm. I have looked back and can't find that post. I have used the "search window" but keep getting an error: "This community is temporarily unavailable". Anyone know if show times have changed? Would like to set up dining times for our next cruise. Thanks.
  17. The industry's costs have gone up for many reasons, not just Covid related. Customers want to sail again and would gladly fill up the ships. But until Covid cases fall off to a "cold type" virus, it's just going to continue to affect everyone's lives and businesses and keep people away. Obstinate countries? Countries that have way more problems than Covid, have to keep up stringent rules or they are in even more trouble.
  18. The only things that are going to put an end to Covid are: fully Vax, testing, masks. Until we all do this the cruising industry and so many other businesses are going to continue to struggle. With these relaxed rules, we are just going to see cases go way up again and then we start this terrible cycle all over again.
