Celebrity, forget the orange juice (freshly squeezed or pre-freshly squeezed), give us a good quality grape juice, because it has the same heart-health benefits as red wine.
Oh no ! Would it have to be fresh squeezed grape juice ?
-
One other question with the hope of keeping this scintillating thread going. Why do they call it orange juice when it's clearly yellow? Why don't they call the fruit yellows and the juice yellow juice ?

After 25 years of cruises we know the drill. The people that Celebrity hired specifically for the GastroBar are college types that have not gotten a job in their field, and had been working the disco and club sceen till something came up. You will have to experience it I guess, to fully understand the sour attitude. They are nothing like the 'puttin on a show' bartenders at the Martini Bar from the far East.
3 said they were not coming back when their contract was over. They would have been better suited to do laundry.
Ah. Now I understand what you meant. There were no experienced bartenders left to work the gastrobar since they were already working elsewhere, so they used new, inexperienced ones.
I was on the Equinox in January and found the bartenders at that time to be warm, friendly and engaging, almost to a fault.Maybe you caught them on a bad hair day...we all have them.

There use to be a web site that would tell you the names of all the entertainers.
On all the cruise ships.
It's been a few years since I've seen it.
Anyone remember this?
Isn't that why we Google ?

Drinks are included as are craft beers up to limit of your pacxkage, you then can opt to pay the difference.
We had excellent cheese soup there.
Not an everyday eat place, but a nice change of pace.

Justin Tyme-- underwater mime, juggler, impressionist, cross dressing, tuba player.

We had the same experience on the 11 day cruise in Nov.
IMHO, after talking to a couple of the bartenders, Celebrity HR made a poor choice in the hiring. All the bartenders were working in or at bars.
They thought they would see the world and party. Not used to working hard at all.
I'm sorry if I don't understand what you mean,"All the bartenders were working in or at bars". isn't that where bartenders work ? Do you expect them in the laundry or the gift shops.
As to friendliness,I've found a smile and the double secret hand shake has always worked for me.

GI problems are not necessarily food poisoning. They can come from a variety of sources, licking hand railings or elevator buttons or in a downdraft from a voracious sneeze or cough.
Although some complain that this thread is too long.I find the discussion of orange juice refreshing as compared to endless ones about loud music, chair hogs, and dress codes.

The luggage tag zombies strike again. That's why I'm thinking about never cruising again.

That tax only will appear on your shipboard account when you order Bloody Marys the next morning (aka "the hair of the dog that bit you.")
My favorite therapy animal in a Grey Goose.
-
I don't mind if other have service animals on board,it's that I do mind being taxed for their presence.
It appears every time I order a drink I get a service charge
-
As a charter member of PETF,people for ethical treatment of fruit, I find it disgusting that anyone would squeeze a fruit and then even consider drinking its juices.
-
You can order as much as you would like to your heart's content, sharing or not.

I for one don't believe the service is slow at any of the restaurants. This is not fast food and given the amount of food one consumes on a cruise,I enjoy eating a leisurely meal.
We all have our favorite Asian restaurants at home. It's nice to try a different one.
As far as the Tuscan Grill,I found the food to be good but very heavy . There are countless Italian restaurants in the New Jersey/New York area that far surpass it with more interesting and delicate flavors but that doesn't mean once or twice a year i can't enjoy the TG.
Eating at any of the specialty restaurants is just part of a great cruise experience.Relax and enjoy your vacation.

Was on the Equinox for the NFC and AFC championship games. They were on in the Gastro and Casino bars as well as in staterooms.

Fried cheese wontons...incredible.

Don't you all realize that the pool area is supposed to be reserved just for aging, snoring, and the nurturing of skin cancers...nothing else.

Today many of us are either spoiled or have short attention spans or need a variety of new types of stimulation. Isn't that one of the reasons we see sonny divorce . This no no way an indictment of the op. It's just a fact of modern life that we are all looking for something new

LOL :)
I had to edit out the rest of my comments. But trust me when I say they were very very good.:D And would have gotten me kicked off CC in a heartbeat. ;)
I'll leave it to my imagination. And yes they are very Puritanical in their guidelines ,what with all the little kiddies viewing this board. LOL

Hi there,
We're told this should be fixed this month. We'll post once the fix is in place. Thank you for your patience.
My cruise begins Jan 12. Any suggestions ?

If the pool doesn't suit your music volume, move next door to the Solarium pool, you can usually hear a pin drop at that pool.
I demand something be done about people who drop pins at the Solarium pool. It can be most dangerous for those walking barefooted there.
Celebrity is pushing us away again, no fresh oj?!
