Cotton candy happens to a chic dessert item at some of the finest restaurants. Perhaps Celebrity is just trying to be trendy.
But certainly no one is forcing it down your throat. If you like, it try it, if not ,pass. I'm sure it is a delight to many, some of which are the youngsters who just might prefer it to snails.

Do trunk bay or cinnamon beach have chair rentals? Have seen conflicting reports. Ty!!!
I remember rentals in Trunk bay,a few years back.
BTW ST John is in US not British Virgin Islands .

I'm glad I didn't hold my breath. Don't ask me to email you (celebrity) and not even have the courtesy to respond. @celebritycruises tweeted back "thanks! We are aware of the problem". It would also be nice of somebody from Cruise Critic to explain what they are doing on their end and if they know what the problem is. While this isn't the biggest problem in the world by far, it does go to show the lack of customer service lately.

Maybe they will blame it on the North Koreans.
Ridiculous that it can't be fixed.

I just spent 45 minutes speaking and on hold with a courteous Celebrity rep. Amazingly he had never heard of Cruise Critic!
I walked him to and through it.
Bottom line is that after consultation with his support team he said the problem was the linkage between Celebrity and Cruise Critic and that they were working on it. I suggested that given how long it has taken they enlist a 12 year old to help.
I further told them that I was most upset that they have not responded to the emails at the address their representatives provided connections@celebritycruises.com
He said they were swamped at that address and couldn't answer quickly, but if I sent yet another right now I would get a response because they would be "looking for mine"LOL
Finally ,I told him of the irony of listening to how Celebrity anticipates your smallest needs even before you ask on their recorded loop while I was on hold.
I'll post again when and if I get a response.

Still unable to register today. I get the message, "no cruise critic reservation found." Anyone else having any luck-or lack of luck? Is this a Celebrity or Cruise Critic issue?
Happy Sails to You
OOOEEE :D:D Bob and Phyl
I got the same message, yet on the page it said 89 had registered for my Jan 12 Equinox cruise. So I called. They sent an email for me and gave me an address where to send one also, but I still have gotten no response in over a week.

$9.50 for ONE soda? No wonder I never open that dam thing. Never even looked at the price list. Wow.
Yes,but you get to keep the can.

Having heard this terrible tale of woe,I have decided to cancel my next three cruises lest something so terrible might happen to me. I am going instead to East Africa and will take my chances with the ebola virus rather than risk being treated so outrageously on a cruise vacation.

No . It folds flush into ceiling. You won't know it's there.

The bowling alley bar on deck 16. You access it though your medical marijuana.

The best thing about the good old days in the early 90s was that I was 24 years younger, but now I don't remember too much about it.

You're right...there should be no fun allowed on these boards, nor on cruises for that matter, only chair hogging, serious formal attire questions and complaints about the degradation of service on Celebrity.
As Jimmy Buffett sang, "We need more fruitcakes in this world."

You're welcome...we all could use a laugh once in a while.

I assume that you are being sarcastic. If not, I should point out that you walk in dirt so I am concerned about being near you.
DON
I do not...I either levitate or roll along inside my bubble.
-
Why? :confused::confused:
All meat products are made from animals that walk on "dirt" and eat feed that is grown in "dirt". The water that we drink flows across river beds and stored in reservoirs that are lined with "dirt".
Aren't you concerned about those as well?
I am. I only eat synthetic chemical food products or food beamed down from other planets that are injected into my bubble.
-
I am more concerned about the fact that all of the fruits and vegetables as well as the wheat for the bread products originate in the dirt.

I'm a little shocked and disheartened by people who say the Panama Canal is a bore! I just feel so fortunate to be able to take these cruises, I could never have such a blasé response. These people must have nothing but time and money to blow, that a cruise experience was such a waste of time for them. We are all very lucky to have the opportunity to see the world from these ships.
Whether one finds the Canal thrilling or not, I think everyone should just experience it at least once. I did 5 full transits by the time I was 22. I have recently added my sixth transit. I'm not going to say that I still sit out on deck all day and watch it minute by minute. But I have done it so many times, now I am to the point that I get a kick out of seeing other passengers on my trips experiencing it for the first time. I kind of live vicariously through their enjoyment.
It's a great trip that every cruiser needs to do once. I'm not a huge history buff, but still found my first couple of transits really special and I would hate for someone to miss out.

Shocked ? Disheartened ? Lighten up.
Most ,including myself, said it was great for them the first time, but they did not need to do it again.
I felt the same about Mt Rushmore and Old Faithful.
There's too much else to see without repeating this experience.

I will respectfully take a different view. We did a Panama stop on the Equinox last January and did a day excursion though the canal on a ferry. We were told that the small vessel was better than a large ship as you get the feel of the movement in the locks better. The first lock as great, the second OK the third was a bore. All this made worse by having to wait almost an hour in each lock as we were paired with a large freighter which was slow to load.
The history of the building was fine but could be read in a book.
I am going back on the same southern Caribbean cruise this winter and not be doing the canal...once,one lock was plenty for me.

Here's the page...

Just look for the three threads...I suggest you start with part 3 of anyone recently back.
-
You have a ton of questions which I believe will be best addressed and answered on the Xpedition roll call under the thread "xpedition anyone recently back"part 3. You might find some of the answers in parts one and two but it will take you an enormous amount of time getting through them.
Additionally have you considered using a really good travel agent to help you...that's what they do.

"Still live bands" ? In all of my cruises, all of the live bands had moving members.

Who needs roving bar staff ? Isn't that wives are for ? And I don't think the staff will bring your slippers or mop your brow should you sweat in the warm sun.
-
I think they should have reserved seating poolside for left handed, Polish dentists, with green eyes.
I would also hope they could provide a supermodel to peel my grapes.
-
Go to the roll calls for the Xpedition. There are three long threads-Anyone recently back. You will find your answer in the second(now closed) thread of the three.
Short answer though is they are pretty much equal except only on A will you see the waved albatross and you won't see that if you go Jan-March.

You couldn't be more correct. There's nothing wrong with eating what you like. Let the food snobs be served notice.
Personally I find even the finest caviar tastes like licking the dock, but I don't mind it being available if other enjoy it. To each his own.
