  1. Can anyone tell me if there are electrical outlets near the bedside lamps? We are in an interior. We carry travel fans with us, and use an extension cord on Carnival, but I know one of the ships I recently on (different lines, different ships) there were plugs right next to the bed. Don't want the weight of cords if I wont need them.
  2. We are on the Caribbean Princess in Jan. for a 14 day sailing. Went onto the app and completed everything, including dining time. All we are waiting for is arrival times to open up. Yesterday I found out my in-laws have also booked the same cruise and we would like to dine at the same table. I know there is a way to add folks to the app. I figure that is for the "find" feature. Just wondering if I add them, will it also put them at the same dining seating? We have a private table @ 6:30pm, just wondering if I need to call princess, or can I do it on the app? I have tried not to confuse you with my request.....
  3. Part of the issue on Carnival is not he "Gluttony" but the waste. There is that "I paid for it" mentality. I just got off a 10 day Carnival cruise, and a lady sitting at a table next to us ordered one of each entree, put the proteins on one plate and never touched the sides. She would take a few bites of each protein, then ask for her desert. The waiter asked her if she just wanted the proteins and her response? " I want everything I have paid for. At lunch, the Lido has wonderful dessert cakes. Best food on Carnival. Many folks will take a slice of each, and leave the majority after sampling them. Waste on Carnival ships is horrible. That is why food cost is so high, not the price of food. I have traveled a lot on the major cruise lines and I don't see the waste like on Carnival.

  5. Been a while since I have cruised out of Charleston, so I want to make sure the procedures are still the same. You drive into the parking lot line, where they look at your paperwork, then take your checked luggage. You then proceed to park, then walk to a small building where you check in, then wait for a shuttle bus to take you to main building. You go through security there, then get on the ship. That's what I remember. Is that procedure still correct? Does the Sunshine have mini coolers in the rooms? (We have an interior). Also, does anyone know if the MediCoolers are still available to rent for insulin? I know someone is going to say my insulin does not need to be in a cooler, but my doctor has told me not to leave it out, so I don't Thank you in advance for your responses.
  6. Just found out our in-laws decided to book a voyage we are going on. Do I need to contact Princess so we can add them to use the "find me" function on the app? Besides ordering food, the "find me" is the best part of the app.
  7. We sailed on the Miracle out of Tampa a few years ago. We did get advisory right before we sailed that if there were any weather disturbances (high tides due to storms) our departure could be delayed up to 24 hours as we had to leave during low tide.
  8. If you stay at the Hyatt, you can cross the street and take MUNI metro from Ferry BLDG to the cruise port. Cost is $3.00. Exact bills or change.

  10. I tried the smoking forum, but I got no answer. Can anyone please tell me where the smoking areas are on the Enchanted Princess?
  11. Can anyone on here please tell me where the smoking areas are on the Enchanted Princess? I have searched this forum to no avail. I tried to use the chat on Princess web page, and the agent told me it changes each sailing. That does not sound correct.
  12. We received a casino offer a casino offer on 5/4. Since that time I have tried to call 8 times only to get "all representatives are currently busy, blah, blah, blah". I have sat no less that 2 hours, and no one ever comes on. I have called different times of the day. Last Sunday, I called about close to closeing time, and after sitting on hold for an hour, I got an " Our offices are now closed!" GRRRRR I know they said you could e-mail the casino and the offer would be handled as long as it was sent before the offer expired. So I did on 5/12. On This Tues, I was able to get through on chat and I was told they have not even started to go through e-mails yet, and have no ETA when they would start. You cannot book the casino offers on your own, and I am watching the inventory of rooms go down each day. Does anyone know another way to get through?????? Or advice?
  13. For our last Princess cruise, I purchased the recycled sport band for our cruise. Worked great. Cruise over, threw it in a bag with my husbands sport band. Our medallions arrived for our cruise 4/2, and I cannot figure out how to get the old medallion out of the recycled holder. The back is solid so I cant push it out. I have tried everything.
