Good morning! Nice sandals, Lois, they look like they should be good for your cruise. Got up early yesterday to take husband to Orlando airport for his flight to MN, he should be leaving today with Ben for the long flight to Australia. Spent the rest of the day taking some beach walks and doing chores around the condo. Watched the commitee’s first report, scary stuff. I plan on catching up with Stanley Tucci tonight. I, too, like to look at (inspect😂) the pictures of any testing I’ve had done, just not while they are doing it! As a nurse, I have to make sure they did not miss anything.😂 Sherri🙂

We have never been charged a corkage fee, one time a waiter asked me if I was aware of the fee he was supposed to charge and I said yes but he did not charge us. No one els has ever mentioned it. Sherri🙂

My passport was received by the renewal facility on April 26, the check cleared the bank on April 29. Passport was pending until June 1 when status changed to approved. At that time the site said it had been sent to a facility for printing. I received my new one on June 3. Sherri🙂

You are fine, the 6 month rule is not a requirement for cruises in the Caribbean. We have cruised many times with about to expire passports. Sherri🙂

I have Julia and the Stanley Tucci shows all recorded, plan to binge them while husband is traveling. Also, I have several seasons of Call the Midwife to finish up, I need to stock up on some munchies for watching all of them.😂 Fastest mammogram I have ever had, I was at the clinic for less than 30 min for both bone density and mammo. Took me longer to drive there than get tested! Rest of day is just the usual gym and walking with a little house cleaning in between so OOTD is exercise clothes. My husband still has his equipment from his law enforcement days, I told him I kind of feel like I should start wearing one of his bullet proof vests when I go out. 😬 Sherri🙂

Thanks, Lois. My husband will fly up to Minneapolis to pick up Ben on the 9th, then they fly on the 10th to LAX to Sydney to Melbourne and return on June 25. I did this trip with Ben in 2017, took me several days to recover.😂 I have been thinking about Debbie, too, and am hoping the same! Sherri🙂

Long drive home yesterday from VA but it was not too bad, weather was good and traffic was fairly light for a Saturday. Had a great time with grandkids but kind of nice to be home! My husband leaves Thursday to fly to Australia with our 16 year old grandson. Ben has permanent resident status in Australia but had not been able to go stay with his dad since right before pandemic, so he has to be in the country before July 1 to maintain his status. So lucky husband gets to make the 14 hour flight from LAX. I could not go as my passport was expiring next month. I sent it in back in for renewal in April but did not get it back in time to book flights. Got it yesterday😂😂 You all are inspiring me to maybe do some shopping! Kat, I love the earrings, they really go well with your dress! Tomorrow is bone density test day followed by yearly mammogram. Can’t wait🙄 Sherri🙂

My passport expires in early July, due to a trip we have planned for August where I definitely need a passport, I sent mine in April 26th. It is still “in process”. We were able to catch a really good deal for a cruise on Allure, May 2. First time I have ever cruised with birth certificate and DL. It was super easy, the first agent at checkin sent us over to the desk, agent typed in something and we boarded. Getting off was even easier, customs agent barely looked at anything, I was out before my husband and his passport. I had our original wedding license (49 years!) with me to use as a bridging document but no one asked to see any further documentation. Sherri🙂

Yes, it is only during whatever their “happy hours” are. I think it was 5-7pm but not sure. And, they don’t offer it the first night or the night they have the officers reception. Sherri🙂

Our last Celebrity cruise was unlimited drinks from a specific menu during happy hours at any bar. Sherri🙂

We felt the food on our last Allure cruise a few weeks ago had really gone downhill when compared to our Allure in September. We were very surprised by the difference. Sherri🙂

Good morning to all! I took a train up to northern VA on Tuesday to spend some time with youngest son’s family until Husband finishes in Indy and swings by to pick me up. They are in school all day, so I spent yesterday watching the horrific reports from Texas and waiting anxiously for them to get home. A woman from Australia told me in 2016 that as long as we Americans loved our guns more than our children, we would always have this problem and sadly, I think she may be right. Melody, I am going to try your pork recipe when I get home, it sounds very good and easy! Kat, good news on your US! Sharon, hope temps are cooling down for you! One thing about living in FL, I guess I get used to everything looking kind of dry and brown so being in VA now, everything is so lush and green. The dogwoods are blooming and everything just looks so amazing! I do miss spring and fall! OOTD: Getting ready to take the dog for a walk, so old denim capris and an old tshirt. This evening I am on the gymnastics run, so I may have to put on some makeup😂. Sherri🙂
