  1. I saw Ron Goodman's name on a thread and it made me laugh as I remembered all the crew shows that I saw him in his pink tutu during the "if I was not upon the sea" song during the crew show.
Used to love seeing all the crew show off their talent. It was always well attended and such a special thing. Great outlet for the crew to have some fun and show off.

Princess, please think about bringing it back!

We have run into her daily and thank you for the reminder to say hi for you!  I’m sure we will be able to do that today.

The whole trip has been absolutely incredible!  It’s going to be ‘the one to beat’!
when we are home, I will try to write up an entire review.

    Thank you so much!

So excited for you that you were on this trip. Can't wait to hear all about it!

As others have mentioned, the Plus package is included in the base fare if you add it during the booking process. The only time it’s not is if you purchase it shortly after you board the ship.

We recently made Elite and asked our TA to remove the Plus package from 3 of our booked cruises, as we deemed it was no longer cost effective for us, plus we were in suites, with complimentary mini-bar setups, on 2 of those bookings. On each occasion, a refare at the current category fare was required as the Plus package was included in the base fare. On one booking the cost of the category we had booked had significantly gone up, so we passed on having it removed. On the second one, the fare had gone down, so we proceeded with the removal which also caused a decrease in the PCL insurance policy. On the third booking, the cost for our cabin category was still the same as when we originally booked it, so we had it removed from that one as well.

Not sure how it works after final payment.

If they had to do a refare prior to final payment, I would think it's the same after final payment.

  4. Ask at the restaurant and you will get the exact answer that you need.   I have asked and been told that on the last night they relax the dress code as many have already packed.  I don't eat in the MDR on the last night or most nights frankly.

If you have to have your bags out at 8 PM then I would think that they have relaxed the dress code but who knows.

Do you have recent experience with this?  Spa and excursions don't show up as part of the cruise fare like Plus and Premier do.  And the insurance premium isn't applied towards amounts paid for spa and excursions either.  I'd really like to hear if someone has cancelled it while "in the penalty" period and gotten 100% of it back within the past couple of months.  Hoping that is the case!

I know I added it after final payment and got a whole new booking confirmation which showed an increase in my fare.  It also upped my insurance.

It will be interesting to see how Princess handles this.  I hope for the OP's sake, that they make the change for him without penalty.

Captain Tony also delayed moving our clocks ahead. That’s why our eclipse was at 11:02 ships time instead of noon.
He did not want the eclipse to conflict with lunch service. And he gave the crew the time on upper decks to also experience this amazing event.
    I LOVE Captain Tony!

I saw some of Jovie's pictures and she said it was incredible.

How fantastic that you had such a great time.

If you run into her, give her my love.

Can only reserve a lounge in the Sanctuary on the ship at the Sanctuary desk.  And be careful of those idiots who will rush to get to the desk; last cruise I had an idiot almost knock me over getting out of the elevator to get there ahead of me.  We got a spot and used it everyday for the entire cruise; that idiot and his wife only used it for one day.  Go figure!

Were you in the Go Lounge pre cruise?  That is the information that the OP is looking for.

You should have flown from Fort lauderdale! I think you may be able to use the Turkish Airlines Lounge. I have an AMEX card and use the Centurian Lounge in Miami.

I love the Centurion Lounge in Miami but  it's far from the United terminal.

@nancy1031 there is unfortuantely not a United Club in the terminal.

  9. People who have had these offers and accepted them will be posting answers to you soon, but I will say that if it's something you are interested in taking, grab it quickly!

  10. From the Intercontinental Hotel, you will be able to walk to so many places. There is also the free metro mover that you can take around town.

Zuma for sushi is very close.  Right on the River.  For Italian, Il Gabbiano is steps away and wonderful. If you aren into Gordan Ramsey, you have a Hell's Kitchen right there.  I haven't personally eaten there but friends have and all have really enjoyed it.

Steps over the bridge into Brickell brings a whole ton of other restaurants.  A favorite of mine is River Oyster.  Great locally owned restaurant and wonderful seafood.  You also have Trulucks, Capital Grille and Flemings right there.  Yes, I realize chains but that particular Flemings is a favorite of mine with a great bar and I love all the staff.  If my friend Krysta is bartending, she makes a mean cocktail.

Salty Flame is a great new restaurant in Brickell.  Moxies is a fun casual place in Mary Brickell Village.

CHI.CVE in downtown is great. I've always enjoyed lunch at Verde at The Perez Art Museum and love sitting outside

If you want something special, take a taxi to Little Havana and go to Cafe La Trova. It just got named one of the top 50 bars in the World again.  It's a wonderful place.

These are just a few ideas and I'll think of more.

From where I live it is $39 or $79 one way depending on level of service chosen     So from West Palm Beach to FT Lauderdale would be $78 RT.   Now there are two of us so least expensive would be $156 for two of us.   Now add taxi from our house to train station about $35 each way.   Comes to $226 RT for two.   I can park at port for $140 for the week or use a car service for about $125 each way.   Now car service is a little more but personal service with them picking us up at home, handling luggage.    I am just not seeing the value for me.

Add in the $35 per bag if you want the seamless travel where you check your bag and they bring it to the ship!  2 bags would bring your total to $296.

What do they charge for a round trip?

Depends on the day and the time of your booking.  Could run from $74 per person one way to $174 per person one way for the basic fare, more for the premium for the Orlando to Fort Lauderdale run. This doesn't include the 15% discount if you book on the Princess trains.  This doesn't include checked bags which for Princess runs $35 per bag to be delivered to the ship, otherwise it's $25 per bag.

Depending upon where in Kissimmee, I would plan on 2-2.5 hours for the trip.

To Port Canaveral?  There is no way it would take that amount of time.

Just did the drive as I have 2 sons living up there about 10 minutes apart and it's about 1 to 1.5 hours from Osceola and John Young which is close to the the OP will be.   Roundtrip for me was an hour each way.

OP, I would try and get there closer to 11 and leave your hotel by 9:30 so the rush traffic has mainly cleared.
