  1. We did this itinerary as a 14 day 12/30-01/13/2023. It wasn’t sold as a B2B but it was a B2B. Kind of sneaky but MSC is known for their “ferry” service between ports in Europe so it’s just normal operations to them. Customs was very slow after the 10 day part of the B2B. Despite us booking this as a 14 day cruise (which was how it was marketed) many of us were on for the next 4 days and still had to go through immigration The ship didn’t clear immigration until after 2pm. We were told that immigration is very thorough when a ship returns from this itinerary including Colombia, Panama etc. I mean I wonder why right? I recommend you pack your patience and hope for the best but plan for delays boarding your cruise. For reference immigration was super fast after the 4 day cruise. We walked off and were on our bus to Miami International by 7:30 am.
  2. 56 and open to all of those things just not on a cruise ship where I go to relax not to have music of any kind blasting. This is especially troublesome when these charters are kept secret from unsuspecting passengers not in the charter group. If I want that kind of cruise experience I’ll look for a group offering it and book it. In the last few years we’ve attended the Stones at Gillette, Guns and Roses at Fenway, Gaga at Fenway, Chesney and G Brooks also at Gillette and countless other concerts. We’re huge music people. The difference is we don’t go on a cruise to watch a concert.
  3. When I hear they are allowing YC access to non YC pax I’m reminded of @mscdivina2016who paid and booked YC but was moved to a room on deck 8 but his reservation still said his experience was YC. Could this be happening more and more and that’s where SOME of these “access” pax are coming from?
  4. This article says 2024 so who knows which is correct? Although your article was from September and this one is from November so I’m thinking this is the most current. https://www.cruisehive.com/cruise-port-in-maine-votes-to-restrict-cruise-ship-visitors/87122?fbclid=IwAR1XCxNQ4td12GE4HcWCrkYcakscCPhUDJ_GvnGq2_u2vWiL5p78n0_XrbE#letiurzzqv3htjhlql
  5. The Bar Harbor thing doesn’t go into effect until 2024 so it won’t impact the 2023 cruises
  6. Wow talk about being creative to beat the system. I’m a retired hairstylist. I had a client who would come each week for a wash and blow dry. One week she asked me to “trim her bangs” and of course I did and didn’t charge her. The next week she asked me if I could “just snip the middle length at her nape as it was getting caught on her collar” When she came in the 3rd week and asked me to “trim over her ears” I nicely told her she would be charged for a haircut. She was flabbergasted! She said “but you’re only cutting a few hairs not a full haircut” There are people who think the rules don’t apply to them. She was ultimately working at getting a free haircut over a period of 3 weeks just to save an extra $30 at the time. Needless to say I never saw her again after that lol What gets me about this whole “trying to feed 3 people but only paying for 2 on a cruise” is we all pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars to cruise are we really going to worry about spending an extra $70 on our kid’s or parent’s meal? Clearly we can afford it if we’re cruising. It makes zero sense to me.
  7. I’ll be on the second sailing to Bermuda from Boston and will do a live review (04/07/23) Although sorry OP you’ll be there before me so maybe you can let us know lol I plan to post the ferry schedule and daily MDR menus along with the daily program…WiFi permitting of course lol I was on this same cruise last year. This was the schedule at that time.
  8. MSC doesn’t allow any beverages including water to be brought on board. It is my understanding that if you are all in the same stateroom the children get the age appropriate package. Water bottles are included in the drink packages.
  9. We recently saw that one as well. It’s such a sad story for someone who was so full of sunshine.
  10. That was my hope to bring attention to that. Thanks Morpheus!

    MSC 2023?

I thought you meant Carnival’s ship Fantasy one of the first ships we took our kids on 30 yrs ago lol I was thinking a LOT has changed since then!
  12. Thought I would share this heartfelt obituary for a man who touched so many lives in his short life. May he rest in the most glorious peace. https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/name/gene-young-obituary?id=48175792
  13. I guess it depends on how many are in their group. It wouldn’t be easy to just take over the music on the pool deck or in a lounge when NCL already provides entertainment in those places. The YC is sold out maybe that’s where they all are. Keep them in that area and they won’t impact the rest of the ship.
  14. Oh boy! I’m surprised they haven’t blocked me yet! 😎
  15. I’ve asked multiple times on their FB ads how big their group charter is. I keep getting ignored. lol
  16. I think you’ve got almost everything sorted out except who’s on 1st?🤔🤭
  17. Oh wow. I think I would go if you’ve already bought the tickets for the show.
  18. Great advice! I need to stop thinking that everyone’s intentions are honorable 🤦🏻‍♀️
  19. From experience as we had our grandson (then 8 yrs old) with us last April on Pearl. We made a reservation for 3. When we arrived at Teppanyaki the hostess asked our room number and told us what the charge would be based on what she saw on her computer. We did not have any specialty dining included on that cruise so it was $210 or 70X3 Next month we’re going on the same cruise. This time we have specialty dining for me and my husband at 2 places. So we expect to be charged $70 for our now 9 yr old grandson. I suspect OP arrived at the restaurant, gave his room #, was told he had 2 free meals and that he would be charged $70 for the 3rd person, at which time a discussion happened which resulted in upsetting his poor daughter. So to the OP If it’s not about the money, you pay the price and walk into the restaurant. Whether or not you all can finish the food that is on your plate really doesn’t matter. At the end of the day was it worth arguing with them over $70 and a crying teen? Heck no!!
  20. They didn’t follow protocol once she turned 13 if you weren’t charged at Teppanyaki for her meal. This is directly from NCL’s site. It clearly states what the policy is and even shows a pic of Teppanyaki. Note it says restaurants with a show aren’t included. It sounds like you guys got lucky and received something you weren’t supposed to in the past. In these financially difficult times that NCL is experiencing, they will probably be more vigilant about enforcing their own policies which they did in your last experience there. But for $70 she should have eaten what you guys ate not just be charged that for a burger. That part is nuts.
  21. Have you decided whether or not you’re going yet?
  22. So the group is planning it without NCL’s knowledge? Wow Either the group is very bold or NCL is full of bologna.
