  1. Nope because I don't see the feds allowing this. Alaska barely manages its own business. They can't go all 48 Contiguous states and manage this.
  2. You're correct. I edited my post once I remembered that it was in packets to add hot water to. The packets were available in the buffet.
  3. There are coffee dispensers, hot water dispensers, juice dispensers at breakfast, flavored water dispensers after breakfast, and ice and water dispensers all day. And hot chocolate packets and tea bags. Princess makes sure we're well hydrated.
  4. You can bring all of that, but the buffet provides free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. And ice is not only readily available in the buffet, but at any bar onboard. And your room steward will also happily fill your ice bucket in your room twice daily. They only ask that you don't directly fill your own container from the dispensers in the buffet, but use their cups to dispense, then dump into your own container.
  5. Alaska is going to try, whether the Feds will approve the deal is another matter. There's definitely some antitrust issues to look at here.
  6. You're going to have an amazing time! Princess knows how to throw a party!
  7. My bad, I meant to quantify that as glass bottles. You are correct, plastic bottles are fine.
  8. You can carry on 1 12 pack of canned soda 12 oz per person. Must be carried on and not passed to porters and cannot be bottles. You can carry on 1 bottle of wine per person over 21 corkage free for consumption in stateroom. Any additional bottles require a corkage fee. These additional bottles may be consumed anywhere on the ship.
  9. I find it highly doubtful that there is a delivery fee for the Sanctuary Menu items. It could be that if you order Ocean Now delivery on the app for delivery to the Sanctuary there might be an automatic charge that populates if you don't have the Plus or Premier Package. But that can probably be circumvented by asking one of the staff to order whichever menu item you wish to eat.
  10. Isn't the Sanctuary menu included as part of the cost of booking a lounge or cabana? I distinctly remember that as part of the perks.
  11. I had so much fun on our New Year's 2023 cruise. Here are some pics and video if it will load. They had an ice sculpture with 20 and 22 then shoved the 22 in the pool and slid in 23. 20221231_234315.mp4 20221231_235758.mp4
  12. I've cruised Princess, Holland, Celebrity, NCL & MSC. Hands down Princess is my favorite. The line draws a more middle aged crowd. And they know their demographic. Entertainment is good to great on the Royal Class ships. The older ships are tired.
  13. Excellent. Will be a nice addition to CG. As a side note dog, did you ever see my reply to your post regarding the Sky Princess charter?
  14. New Year's eve is AMAZING!! Huge party out on the pool deck if weather is nice. Also a more subdued option for those less inclined to whoop it up inside the ship. Everyone gets dressed up so nice.
  15. There is zero chance that Princess will serve Prime Angus Beef in the MDR without an associated upcharge.
  16. Not noisy at all. I love the location myself and have booked numerous cabins in this location. The ease of access to the lido deck and the buffet and bars is ideal. I also find it easier to get an elevator to the ships activities from this location.
  17. The article didn't specify a date, but it did say guests could now enjoy it, so I'm guessing it has.
  18. New Partnership with Hall of Fame Pitcher Delivers Prime Black-Angus Beef in Main Dining Rooms and Crown Grill Steakhouse Aboard Regal Princess https://www.princess.com/en-us/news/news-releases/2023/12/princess-cruises-brings-the-ranch-to-the-high-seas-with-goodstock-by-nolan-ryan Looks like it's only on the Regal out of Galveston for now.
  19. Not until you board. And it's very much a first come, first served situation. Also they have "destination" pricing. For example the cost would be much higher on an Alaska cruise Glacier viewing day.
  20. The Sanctuary is an adults only extra cost area on the ship with loungers and cabanas for rent. There are dedicated attendants and a spa type menu to order from. You can book half day morning or afternoon, or full day. There is afternoon tea served. The Retreat Pool area is also adult only but is open to all onboard the ship with a small amount of loungers around the pool. The Retreat Pool serves as the nearest pool to The Sanctuary.
  21. I will say where Princess fails the disabled is the elevator situation. I've seen many disabled passengers unable to use the elevators due to capacity. Now part of that is also a passenger issue, and out of the cruise lines control. But at peak times they could reserve an elevator for passengers with mobility devices with a crewmember recalling it to the floor with a key.
  22. Are you looking at one of the 10 day bookings or the 20 day B2B booking they're offering? A lot of times these cabins will show available if you search the 10 day, but they block the 20 day.
  23. I believe it says some terms have been "updated". Not upgraded.
