  1. pier 66 is inside the downtown hotel zone and when you look at most any taxi you will see a flat rate of $40.  Apparently some cabs offer a flat rate from Pier 91 but its not an 'official thing'. but that would be easy.  You can book a shuttle on

    seattleexpress.com

as they leave every 30 minutes and that might be your easiest if cab lines are long.

  2. I fly into Seatac a lot and there are lots of taxis.  What I have found is Uber and Lyft has fewer drivers so many times you are paying a 'surge' price without realizing it.  Before landing do a dummy search at home late at nite to see what the 'real' rate should be then you know if your paying too much.

OTOH cabs at Seatac are both 'flat rate' or metered.  There is a taxi dispatcher and they should be able to tell you the flat rate.  These are preferred since then I don't care about traffic as the rate will be the same.  From the Edgewater or pier 66 any cab offers a flat $40 rate to seatac.  Some people say that about pier 91 but spent the day downtown Seattle today and every cab has a price on their door and they all say $40 FROM the downtown hotel zone which would include pier 66 but not 91

  3. yes its flat but to access the dock it up on a bridge then a staircase down to the dock.  To me it would be more hassle than its worth.  I'm also curious what would you be doing at the mkt-

Don't be confused as there is a paved path along the water from pier 69 to 91.  That is what some are referring to vs walking along the roadway on 15th ave which to me wouldn't be worth it.  If you follow the path it would be more doable though I don't know about entrance to get to the dock from the water side.

  4. I commuted from Vanc to Seattle for a summer so have tried them all.  Quickshuttle is the most port to port however they are the worst in terms of time on the bus and so many stops.  Best is Amtrak train but it appears it won't restart till fall so they are offering a bus.  Its the fastest and makes virtually no stops.  From the train to the dock would be a pretty inexpensive uber or cab ride and I'd suggest it.  I do see Flixbus.com is operating on this route and it looks like they stop at the 'greyhound' stop which is on the light rail route so also a easy uber to port.  Either one works.  You can find a somewhat better price by going to the Cantrail site who operates the Amtrak bus

  5. Quickshuttle is much slower than the amtrak bus so I totally agree with going to King St Station.  The bus will be parked in front of the station.  When you go to buy tickets when you put in adult but you can get a discount when you go to 'discount' and you can select senior fare.  It will save you a little bit of money.
