the Port of Seattle contracts with one taxi and one limo firm. Stila is the limo assoc, and fares are regulated by the Port of Seattle. The Westin is one of about 6 stops on the airporter run, so its not a long time before being dropped off, If you take the 'normal' shuttle express you could be in for the scenic tour, but the airporter basiclly runs on a set route.

sorry, your getting some bad advice. Shuttle Express.com opeates the airporter and most certainly stops at the Westin. You can get a towncar that is based at SEATAC airport and run by the port. No reservations needed and its a flat $45 for up to 4 to Westin hotel. It's called Stila and you can use the phone in baggage claim and call Ground Transportation and they pick you up at the door closest to you in Baggage claim. Link light rail will put you about one block from Westin hotel. Only you can decide what is easiest for you?

if your based in the USA then you may try booking with Tourism Vancouver. Call 1800-hello bc and compare their rates. Chateau Granville is an older hotel with large room in the Granville area. Its not unsafe but Granville is the 'entertainment' zone so can get louder at night. If your using this for sightseeing then it will be fine.

Me and my family are looking at booking at the Fairfield Inn by the Seattle airport. It's very reasonably priced, but was wondering if anyone had any information about this hotel. Is it nice or should it totally be avoided?

We are arriving at SeaTac via Princess Shuttle from Vancouver. We do not plan on flying out until two days later and have booked a hotel (Homewood Suites-Cnv Ctr-Pike Place). Not sure where the Princess shuttle will drop us off but interested inflat price taxi. Does anyone know if this is doable? Train out of question as I have no desire to handle luggage on train.

if its taking you to the airport then a $45 towncar would take you right to the hotel. If you can deal with luggage the light rail would take you to Westlake Station and you may have a 4 or 5 block fairly level walk to your hotel.

pier 66 is in the $40 flat rate area, but pier 91 is not. I'd guesstimate the fare to be about $55-60

cabs have always been in the parking garage so you have to cross the roadway from baggage claim by using the skybridge. If you called a cab then you met them up stairs in departures but that is a rarity now.

an uber driver soliciting fares is the same as the town car guys doing it. Of course its illegal. How were you supposed to pay? You'd also have no insurance if the guys crashes as Uber is not going to pay. Uber drivers don't have to have a lot of insurance as Uber would normally cover any liability. The risk is all on the passengers.
Super Shuttle does not operate in Seattle. Perhaps your thinking of shuttleexpress.com?

no charge for luggage. They charge a few dollars more if more than 4 passengers. Rate does not include gratuity. You can call or cross the skybridge and you'll see the counter for Stila limos. Calling is easy as then they come to the door closest to you in baggage claim/.

I've stayed at both multiple times. CP while up hill from the waterfront is a pretty easy 4-5 block walk to the heart of downtown and another 4 or 5 blocks to the market. HIE is ok and close to attractions and things to do. With Amazon headquarters a few blocks away there is a ton of new restaraunts and bars but agree its pretty quiet at night or weekends.

downtown LA has changed a lot. I stayed very close to Union Station a few yrs back. You can go to Olivera Street, tour the new Catholic Cathedral, go to to Disney music hall. While a few street people its not a bad spot especially in daytime.

its a brand spanking new hotel open less than one yr. Very nice. Its on a busy highway but the area would be great, close to the zoo and yes very close to Pier 91. I know they have a shuttle which is rare in Seattle but they may just take you. If the rate is good I wouldn't worry about staying there.

Just a heads up that the pride parade is sunday and it will impact traffic to Pier 91 as it ends near the Space Needle. You might want to consider a flat rate option as traffic is often bad. Coming from the pier it shouldn't matter much but going from a downtown hotel will be an issue.

if you have 5 or 6 your really need to use the STILA towncars as they have limos that can hold 6. The problem is always the luggage as people tend to overpack. The shuttles are waiting at the taxi que. Even a minivan would only hold 4 and if you could find a bigger van then there would be no room for luggage. The flat rate towncars are the best option for multiple people. You can find them in the same area or call Ground Transportation from Baggage claim

The Port of Seattle has a new cab company at seatac airport. Some cabs are metered and others are flat rate so for the present you need to ask for a flat rate one. To Downtown Seattle which would include Pier 66 the flat rate is $39 To Pier 91 its $45. A flat rate towncar for up to 4 is $45 to downtown and $60 to Pier 91. You do not need to reserve as these towncars and limos are always in the parking garage at Seatac. Just call ground transportation and the car will be sent to you in baggage claim. Taxis you need to walk over the skybridge to the taxi line in the parking garage. I'm hoping this can get 'pinned' as the question comes up a lot

you generally have to call for a flat rate taxi however Pier 66 is in the flat rate zone for ALL cabs so it would be $40 to Seatac. Westin from Light rail is really close maybe 1 1/2 blocks. Easy to do.
