Best time to buy them in my opinion. You pay barely more than the cost of the cup and it's filled with Fun Ship Special (rum punch).

Or - pick them up from the tables when people leave them behind thinking they didn't buy them. Not kidding on my last cruise my wife and I picked up 4.

Wow that's crazy! Stalking the atrium next time! 🤣

I would never expect Carnival's Miami facilities to be at their knees because a Conquest class ship was late. Celebration sure. Shocking...

The traffic wasn't Carnival's fault. There were just too many ships coming in and out for me that day. Won't do that again. The issues at the terminal...those are squarely on CCL.

  3. Have to give it up to the passengers from this cruise. When we showed up to the port, it was a MESS. It's likely the last sailing for us out of Port Miami for a while. Everyone it seemed showed up at the same time, along with 5 other boats in port.

The passengers from the previous cruise were still debarking until almost 4pm. They didn't start to allow people in the terminal until then. There was no priority, it was just a free for all. There were people falling out due to the heat, considering we were in the Miami sun for a few hours, though it was only 81 degrees and breezy. Carnival started handing out waters as we began to walk inside...

There was no fighting, bickering, etc from the couple different crowds of folks we were in during embarkation I was really surprised by humanity for once.

Sunset pic from the balcony as soon as we got to the room for or "2:30" boarding time and some of the crowds.20231119_174539.thumb.jpg.65d2d556fe4519b9ae836a7241255294.jpg

No lines, no direction, sent off to the cargo area to turn around and fight back to the terminals as the port was overwhelmed.

    Dear Carnival Conquest Guests,

On the return to Miami, Carnival Conquest deviated its course to disembark a guest who needed urgent medical attention ashore. As a result, the ship will be docking late tomorrow morning and embarkation for your cruise has been revised. We must allow debarking guests to leave the terminal before we can accommodate your arrival.

    See chart above

Guests who arrive earlier will be asked to return at their newly assigned time. In preparation for departure, all guests must be on board the ship no later than 5:30 PM.

Thanks for your cooperation. We look forward to welcoming you aboard soon

  5. Just checked into the hotel in Miami,  and both my wife's and my phone rang... Medical emergency will cause late arrival to Miami. Posting from my phone...hope this works.

  6. The problem is they all still go to the same ports. Think we're going to try Horizon next and do the south route. Real tired of the western Caribbean

We have stopped cruising out of Jax because all they were running is the fantasy class and we are not interested in that class of ship as a choice for us.

Our stupid city won't make a crappy fishing village move so we can have a port on the other side of the bridge.

Quite possibly. The backpack I used to carry my laptop on a cruise had a a knife and 2 full mags of ammo for my Glock 19 handgun. Security found them and asked me to take them back to my car.

I was nervous since I had my gummies in the very next pocket, but luckily, they didn't see them...

Had a magazine in the bottom of a backpack I used to carry daily trying to board the Celebration in Jan... Ruined embarkation and me and another guy got a ride to return our mags to the car.

Sad thing is, I had flown to Vegas and back 2 months prior and not a peep from TSA.

    Carnival security > Government employees.

Granted the offers are starting to dry up now. But people were and are getting free cruises in the casino even without playing in the casino for years. Getting free cruises without ever cruising Carnival in the past, by playing at their local Indian casino. Etc. etc.

The Ocean Players Club can extend comps to anyone they want - they have no published schedule of comps.

My advice to everyone is to play for entertainment, because the comps are not guaranteed.

Yeah a lot of it was at the restart trying to bait the fish to come out.

Your 3rd piece is the key, I've seen people come on here and complain about the money they lost chasing offers. Crazy.

I have no idea if this is allowed, but are you able to share the name and contact for your PVP? If it is not, please ignore. I do not use one, I just book myself.  However, I have a disabled friend who uses one from every cruise line as he books accessible cabins.  He tried to put a cabin on hold yesterday and the PVP he spoke with gave him some very incorrect information so he has zero confidence.

    Can't sadly.
