  1. Good morning, thanks for the Daily! What an uplifting group of people we have here - cheering each other on, sending good vibes, etc. I, too, am happy to hear of the return of the wandering fur-baby, the wandering U-Haul pod, and yesterday's survival of a colonoscopy. I like the dinner suggestion, and will be tossing some chicken on the barbecue for dinner tonight as we have friends over who are dealing with the aftermath of a garage fire that destroyed their garage and engulfed the rest of their house in smoke. We're making up a huge tray of chicken, and will include lots of salads, etc, so they can take leftovers to their rental for a few day's worth of meals. BTW, @richwmn once again, you had me at chocolate. . . And wine. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  2. While I haven't stayed in one of the forward facing cabins, since the re-vamping of the Crow's Nest, there is so little activity in there at night, that you really don't have anything to worry about. Enjoy the view! Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂
  3. Good morning, thanks for the Dialy! Love the quote - one of the funnier ones my assistant caught was a letter I was sending to a rather unpleasant G. Brunt. It might have ended going to B. Grunt at that address, had she not caught it before being mailed. Great suggestion for dinner, but there's that pot of chili I made yesterday that always seems to taste better the second day. And wine. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  4. Good morning, thanks for the Daily! Happy Canada Day to fellow Canadian (and wanna-be Canadian) cruisers. Love the quote - gave me a giggle this morning. I'm going to save the pot roast idea for another day; on Canada Day I traditionally make chili for a crowd, but this year it's going to be a small batch for the two of us, and will still have enough to freeze for later. And wine. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  5. Good morning, thanks for the Daily! "National Organization for Women Day" - I'm pretty sure after months in self-isolation, most women are totally organized now! LOL I've only had a meatball sub once, and I lost 2 of the meatballs to the floor, so will serve them on my spaghetti tonight. And wine. @rafinmd Good luck with your colonoscopy (close your eyes and think happy thoughts). Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  6. We have a large back yard, and a glassed/screened deck overlooking it, so will spend the lion's share of time enjoying the hard work we've put in over the years. The cruise budget is staying put, as I intend to extend our cruising by another year, seeing this one was a wash. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂
  7. "The hotdog store" - I love it!! Seriously I'd be upset if I had paid a refundable deposit and suddenly it shows up as non-refundable. Please let us know the outcome of your discussion with the agent. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂
  8. Good morning, thanks for the Daily! Happy Birthday Micky - stay well. I have spent a lot of time lately looking for our camera - a small red Canon, which I haven't used for a couple of years. I thought I'd resurrect it, but haven't been able to locate it, so will continue using my phone, iPod, and my 360 degree Ricoh Theta. Sending virtual hugs to everyone here; I think we can all use an extra hug or two every day. @Seasick Sailor Great description; I'm shakin' all over! Not a fan of chickpea soup, so will be content clearing out the leftovers of the past couple of days for dinner tonight. And wine. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  9. Good morning, thanks for the Daily! We had a great rain last night - certainly cooled things off - with the likelihood of more happening today. I love tapioca, but haven't made it in ages - will have to look in the back of the cupboard and bring out the jar to make some. I'm not a fan of the dinner suggestion, as I'm allergic to penicillin, so blue cheeses are out for me. Today seems like a good day to bring out a couple of racks of ribs to slow cook, then finish on the barbecue. And wine. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  10. Good morning, thanks for the Daily! A huge pat on the back for bartenders! LOL A friend of ours makes the best hummus ever; he puts in so much garlic that it keeps werewolves away for miles, and I'm pretty sure you could peel wallpaper with just your breath. Today is a special day - it's been 6 years since I closed my office door for the last time, so that calls for a special meal. I'm not sure what it'll be, but it will be delivered, 'cause I'm not cooking! And wine. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  11. Good morning, thanks for the Daily! I will raise my Tropical Cocktail to toast all the beauticians who are working to keep us looking and feeling good, while they are trying to stay safe at the same time, and ask forgiveness if I've forgotten anyone! I love the menu suggestion, but will have to delay the Parmesan chicken nuggets to another night as we've got the breaded pork chops to finish. And wine. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  12. Good morning, thanks for the Daily! Don't we all wish we were seafarers right now? I was talking with friends yesterday about places we'd been, when I suddenly blurted out "Oh I wish I was on a cruise right now." It just came out; DH just rolled his eyes and smiled. While we were travelling through the Southern states, we tried catfish, and while it was okay, it just didn't seem to live up to the hype. On the other hand, I have some pork chops thawing that will be great dipped in an egg wash, crushed cracker crumbs, and fried in a cast iron pan on the barbecue burner. That's on my menu for tonight. And wine. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  13. Great news, Jacqui! Happy Anniversary to you & Jose! Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
  14. Good morning, thanks for the Daily! While I've never seen a Fairy or a UFO, I'm always hopeful - you never know what a day may bring! I love the meal suggestion, as we're great fans of chicken prepared in any manner. We finally have warmth on the "frozen tundra", and it's a little too hot to use the oven so I might grill some chicken breasts, chop them up and serve as a dinner salad tonight. And wine. Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂 Gerry
