Any ship except Triumph!! That ship is jinxed. Lady just posted video on another website she walked into her bathroom flooded and water coming from the ceiling. Embarkation day!! What a way to start. That ship is just loaded with issues.

Usually have to leave phone off the hook and let it ring for 15 minutes.

I wonder why they do that. On my previous cruises, tournaments were always sold out. When the table was $1-2 no limit it was almost always empty. We would even ask the casino host for more tournaments and they always refused
Huh on my last cruise it was hard to get a seat. Always full.

Love the Sunshine. Seafood Shack is no big thrill.

You can get the same thing for free by showing up an hour later

I think they had a guy who played some country tunes in the Red Frog Pub my last cruise.

Ok 2 steak dinners and 4 beers

I have seen some people put up white boards to write notes on.
Sometimes the notes aren't all that pleasant. Hahaha

I believe it has both. Minimum bets may not be the same tho.

$90 Steakhouse for 2 PLUS a bottle of wine.

Approximately 9 alcoholic drinks, aamof. It was enough for me during our recent week-long cruise.
Unless you are a beer drinker. That’s 16 beers.

If you drink. Some of us don't.
$90 buys a lot of pictures. Or an excursion. Or booze. Or steakhouse dinner for 2 plus money left over. All of which I find morevaluable than getting on the ship an hour early.

We always prepay. Makes the bill at the end of the cruise less traumatic.

We had Havana too. Never went to Serenity except just to check it out.

Illegitimate drinker here. I like to get a good buzz on, but my DW does not. I am very frugal and we plan every dime we spend to make sure we are getting a good deal for what we spend. Not afraid to splurge but there must be good value first.
I am sure plenty of people just don't worry about spending during a cruise, but I have to because watching money is in my DNA. Every dollar wasted is a dollar further from retirement, or the next cruise.
The sad fact is, on a 7 day cruise I would have to part with over $800 and no amount of buzz for a week is worth that much. So, I just smuggle and buy the occasional beer onboard and in port. It just works.
Cheers!
We usually go that route too. If only one person had to purchase we would get it every cruise. So we bring on our own and just purchase a few drinks.

Go to port at noon and walk right on the ship and straight to your cabin. Save yourself $90.

People complain if it’s too loud or not loud enough. They do the same in the showroom. You can’t please everyone.

I think drunk people on cruise ships is the most disgusting thing. Does that mean all alcohol should be removed from the ships? No I have no right to tell other guest what they can or cannot drink.
If the legal actions of others, removal of optional service fees affects someone they have every right to stay home. Passenger only purchase their cruise, what happens between other passengers and the cruise line is not your business.
If they ever got rid of alcohol your cruise price would double.

Being booked on the Splendor in December, I would like to know why you hated the ship? I know it is pink and has a bit of an odd layout, but what did you not like?
Don't get me wrong we still had a great cruise on the Splendor. The décor was awful and the layout is bad. Also hated the covered middle pool. Hate is probably exaggerated but wouldn't book it again. Aside from that you will enjoy the cruise. We just prefer other Carnival ships.

I see they brought back the aft pool too.

The sun deck for the retreat pool is now a level above the pool. So you have to go down the stairs to take a dip. The Sanctuary is on the upper deck level also. The also added a hot tub to the sanctuary.
Has anyone used Carnival gift cards for onboard spending sail and sign account?

We had ours applied at guest services. No problems.
