No noise. Pretty quiet. Great cabin.

I just think it’s hilarious when anyone has an issue they always say everyone else thinks the same. When really nobody does.

So seems like the consensus is that it’s pretty decent BBQ. Funny that most of the people on the Dream didn’t like it. I’m looking forward to trying it on the Vista.

Just s like hotdogs. Love a good Chicago Dog but I hate the Carolina slaw dog. Gross

You booked the cruise just for the Tandoor Grill?? Maybe it’s not supposed to be Carolina BBQ. I’ve had BBQ in Texas Tennessee and Carolina and they are all different.

Walk down the beach to Shipwreck way more fun.

I always thought it was weird cruise lines think you want to eat with strangers. When you go to restaurants they don’t do this. I hate restaurants that have that bench seating along the wall that’s becoming more popular to get more tables in limited space. You feel like your sitting with the people 2 inches from you.

Just the religious types who insisted on holding hands for a prayer before dinner. Yeah we changed tables and they were offended. Haha not everyone believes in the Easter bunny.

To the OP, I respect your right to your opinion. But based on your cruise history (having sailed on one of these ships 3+ years ago, and never having sailed on the other), I dismiss your opinion.
That’s fine. Go ahead and book a cruise on either one. You won’t see me on them. Looking forward to Vista next month.

We have a Havana Aft Wrap on the 6th deck of the Vista. The cabin is triangular pie shaped. It DOES have a sofa. Plus 2 large picture windows and a HUGE balcony.

Hey I love Carnival. But there are 2 ships that need to be dumped. The Triumph and the Splendor.
-
Here's the 9am update. Copied from the other active Triumph cancellation thread
Update:
CARNIVAL TRIUMPH Dec. 4, 2017, FINAL UPDATE:
Carnival Triumph is expected to arrive at 5:00 PM. Check-in will be from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. A lunch credit of 15.00 USD, per person, will be posted to your Sail & Sign account. All guests must be onboard by 8:00 PM.
Oh Goody a whole $15 for missing half the day on the ship.
-
I would never book a cruise on this tub. Ship is jinxed. Carnival should dump this piece of junk for whatever they can get and put the $100 towards a new ship.

Triumph should be scrapped. Would never book a cruise on that tub.

Did you have issues with your TV? Some people got $150 ROBC. We are still waiting for ours.
Our TV went out. Got a $200 OBC on our account the last seaday.

They are out of their flipping minds. What is that? About a 13% increase with no additional return, hint--bottled water?
I do like the NCL product but there is no way in hell I am consuming $105 a day in alcohol.
I will be choosing a different free at sea option if I choose them again for my cruise line. Honestly, I'm sick of this BS. They are overcharging for a product solely to increase the service charge which is allegedly distributed to employees, but I suspect a solid percentage goes to anyone but.
I spoke with a server on the Escape who I wrote an additional tip in for and asked her if she actually gets it. She said in all her years with NCL, her check never changes from her set pay rate despite passengers writing in additional tips on her receipts all the time.
Classy.
This is why I always tip cash. I never write in xtra tip.

Eh, Norwegian's prices are irrelevant to anyone else. They charge those prices because NO ONE pays them. Everyone gets the beverage package 'free' with booking. The condition is you pay the gratuities on the package. So the price people are actually paying is going from $14 pp pd to $16 pp pd. Still a way better deal than cheers - and no 15 drink limit!

Unfortunately they tack on more than the tips. Usually the fare goes up several hundred when you choose to include the beverage package. It's the ole double the price and then take 25% off trick.
-
They will probably still offer the package deal in with the cruise fare still but a a higher price and tell you your getting a great deal. It's the ole double the price and put it on sale for 25% OFF scam.

Which cruise lines raised their prices? I am going on the RC Oasis of the Seas next month and I purchased the package for 30% off the regular price....Carnival has a limit to alcoholic drinks, all other cruise lines don't have any limits, so I can't see Carnival raising their prices.
If you already purchased you are locked in at that price. Even if they increase you will keep the price you paid.

Princess went to around $69 a day and Norweigan went to $102 per day.
-
I believe so. Norweigan just poste they are going up Oct. 10th so that's about a 2 week notice. They are going to $102 a day!! Includes tip.
-
2 cruise lines have had large increases on their beverage packages. Get ready I'm sure Carnival will follow suit. Better buy those packages now.
-
I always order buckets. They give you a bucket with ice to keep them cold.
Any I don't drink go back to the cabin with me to enjoy on the balcony. I keep them on ice in the cabin.

I agree. Not only the oversized balcony. But a deluxe balcony. For the price of a regular balcony. The only negative is the location as far as getting to things. Way to the front of the ship. Kind of a haul to the buffet. But you can be in the showroom in nothing flat.
