somebody that got that, like you did, needs to start a new thread advising people that they MUST contact princess once they have booked a cabin on an ***** cruise and been notified that their cabin was not chosen to be included for the ***** experience during the rollout period. MUST CONTACT and explain disappointment...

has anyone reported if they could order drinks via their device - i.e. smartphone and have them delivered to their location. That almost seemed to be the highlight of their marketing campaign -

princess 'should' refund the charge back to the original form of payment - your credit card

Glitches,sure but it was all about, at least to us, how this was marketed from the start. No mention until after final deposits were due that all rooms wouldn't be included, so it was just another cruise in that respect

off the Crown a week ago or so now - when my wife could connect, speed seemed fine - was even able to facetime - not a great connection, but decent enough to see and hear

Request a no-cost move to an ***** ready room
Request to be put on a waiting list for an ***** room
ask for a significant upgrade to a better cabin, OBC etc

curious, since you booked the cruise as a full ***** cruise, did you ask for, or did Princess offer any extra benefits - cabin upgrades, OBC, etc. since you are getting something different than what you signed up for??

If you get to board early it's a totally different experience.
get to the port early, platinum priority, and board with a cane for stability. We're mostly among the first in the HC if that's what we choose. Lunch in the MDR for the first time on our last cruise a couple of weeks ago... won't do that again -
and don't even get me started on an hour and a half for breakfast in the mdr:cool:

Do they use the same menu for the same night on every cruise? Like the first sea day is Formal menu, the first port day menu is the same each cruise. Seems like it would be pretty hard to predict which menu items will be which night until you actually board.

I was on the Grand Oct. 22-Oct. 29 and did not have a string quartet. We had a mariachi band, and a jazz band in addition to a singer Dwight Blake, Steve Moris and an african-american comedy act.
Hopefully someone will ask the obvious question, but it won't be me...at least not now:evilsmile:
