  1. We just got off QM2 last week and our steward knocked on the door and introduced himself straight away. We also had evening turn down service which I wasn't expecting. Also had napkin placed on my lap. Everything was as it was pre-covid. The only difference was not as much choice on the evening menu but what there was excellent. I know it is a different cruise line but when our niece went on QV last year she said a lot of things were different to pre-covid. So I would say most ships are getting back to normal this year.

  2. Somebody finally answered the phone. She said it will take quite a few weeks to plough through the lost property. She then said about things they cannot return like hearing aids, teeth and said earrings could come under this. I then lost my temper and said nowhere does it exclude earrings on the list of things they can return it states jewellery, doesn't say excludes earrings. Also told her they were in a box so there would be no reason to touch the earrings even though they would have to pick up the box in the first place. I think the world has gone mad.

I asked at the pursers desk, they were not much help. They said every item of property left on board would have been taken off at Southampton and for you to keep phoning the main office.

Thank you for asking. I have sent another e-mail and I will keep phoning. Long queues at the moment.

I searched “lost property” on Cunard’s FAQs and found this for you:
    https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/frequently-asked-questions

Not sure if you have tried via this route already, but fingers crossed for your daughter.

Just tried the link myself - it just takes you to the page, but search on “lost property” and you should find the advice that I did.

That was the link I tried. Just done it again, with a few more details. Hopefully they will respond and I will try phoning again.

We are onboard at the moment, I lost my wedding ring and reported it at the pursers desk, it was found in G2 disco. Did you report the loss at the pursers desk?

She didn't notice until she got home. They did self disembarkation and she left her box on the tv table. She also left her sons new trainers. Thats the trouble of getting of the ship at 7.15am with 2 kids.

  6. Had an e-mail to register the grandchildren today for the kids club. Filled it all in but it will not send. Phoned up they couldn't do it either. She then said try later on tonight or tomorrow as someone she works with had the same problem. It just wouldn't register. Tried again tonight still not working. Not showing on my cunard only on signing into my cunard via e-mail. Has anyone else had this problem. Was told to phone again tomorrow if still not working.

Has anyone renewed their passport recently if so how long did it take to get ii back ?

I just thought to check DH's passport because I remembered that last time we renewed his was slightly later than mine and I discovered that his needs renewing before our next cruise according to P&O's website information which suggests that despite having over 4 months before expiry when we sail it is 2 days short of P&O requirement.  I am now wondering if it is worth paying extra to get it back more quickly.

We renewed our passport back in april. Went in the max sp shop and they did everything. Didn't pay for fast track but mine came back 4 days later. I was gobsmacked. My husbands came back 4 weeks later. Mine went to a different office to his (his went to london).

Morning everyone, hopevyiu are all ok today.

We had to make the awful decision yesterday to let our elderly dog who had an aggressive tumor to cross the rainbow bridge. I am heartbroken 💔

Sorry for your loss. Golden retrievers are gorgeous we had one back in the 80's and 90's he was so placid the kids used to dress him up in leg warmers and hats he just loved the attention. My eldest daughter (the one with ms) has a golden retriever also her name is belle.

    When are you sailing?

We've had a few changes of itinerary and we've always had a notification either direct from Cunard or via a TA.

1st September. Just noticed the 3 day to le havre and bruges in november is now just showing as bruges. I am wondering if there is a problem with le havre or just a computer blip. Cruise is sold out so cannot see online.

  11. We are booked on the 3 day trip to le havre. Just logged onto my cunard and it is saying 3 day trip to bruges. Map still showing le havre and excursions for france. No message on my e-mails to say it has been changed. Not really bothered where we go but just find it strange.

Morning everyone, hope you are all ok this morning. It is dull here today but sun forecast this afternoon so fingers crossed.

We have our grandchildren and their parents arriving today for the weekend. The girls are very excited as they are going to The Tower Circus tomorrow.

I saw the oncologist yesterday, I had DCIS that was removed during an unrelated operation in April and he thinks I am clear now and probably need no further treatment. There was a lot of “thinks” that I wasn’t happy with. He didn’t have my full histology results and hadn’t seen my mammogram had in Dec, I wasn’t happy and felt like it was a wasted visit. He has agreed to get everything together and put it before MDT again and bring me back.

Took the dog to the vet last night, his paw is getting worse, vet said next stage it will probably start bleeding all the time. We agreed before it gets to this stage we will let him cross the rainbow bridge with dignity

A friend of mine had DCIS last year.  She had a course of radiotherapy. No hormone treatment.

Morning everyone, hope you are all ok today.

It’s a dull cloudy day here and it feels a bit cooler. Just dropped my daughter’s dog at the groomers.

My son is visiting today,  along with my mum we are going to Miller & Carter for lunch which I am looking forward to.

Earlier this year I had surgery and from pathology tests i have been told they have found breast cancer. Seeing the Oncologist next Thursday to see what further treatment I need as they managed to remove a small tumor.

To make matters worse our elderly dog was diagnosed with cancer last week and has been put on palliative care as they can’t remove it.

    Michelle

Sorry to hear your news, chin up you can do this.

  14. Thank you for your replies. It looks like I will have to take him in hand. When they have gone on a cruise before he usually eats elsewhere so he doesn't have to dress up. They have never sailed Cunard before and my daughter has told him she is not eating in the buffet.😂

  15. We are going on a 3 nighter to le havre on QM2. Son-in-law wants to know if he can wear smart jeans (think designer) on smart attire evenings. I said I wasn't sure as DH always wears trousers or chinos on smart casual.

  16. This happened to us on our last P&O cruise on oceana back in 2019. They took £1.50 out for a bottle of water from the mini fridge the day we left. Never take anything out of the mini fridge. Did wonder if cabin steward had the drink and put it down to us. They did send us a cheque for £1.50 but I remember I didn't cash it in as I couldn't be bothered to take it into the bank for that small amount. Only challenged it because I knew we hadn't drunk it.
