  1. I completely agree and gives me something to look at while walking down mundane hallways...I would have enjoyed your magnets!
  2. As I replied when I pasted the Princess rules that, by using common sense, the decorations that you mention would all be included in the category as violating the Princess Guidelines. However, not ALL decorations will violate said guidelines so to make an overarching, overreaching statement, whether directly or insinuating, that all decorations are a fire hazard is patently false.
  3. I wanna cruise with THIS guy 😆🤣😜
  4. Read the actual Princess policy that @BlerkOne provided the link too (i copied and pasted them below), no where does it say you cannot have ANY decorations but gives you the policy guidelines of the door decorations that Princess deems as acceptable. And after i for one have read them they seem totally reasonable to me. DECORATING YOUR STATEROOM DOOR AND STATEROOM We recognize some of our guests like to decorate their staterooms and we, too, love seeing your creative decorations. However, for safety reasons, we must ask that you abide by the following guidelines for decorating your stateroom door as well as the interior of your stateroom. In the interest of guest and crew safety, the following stateroom decoration policies will be instituted and strictly enforced: Decorations may consist only of fire retardant materials. Please note that items sprayed with fire retardant spray are not acceptable Decorations may only be placed on the stateroom door and not the surrounding frame, walls or railings You may use magnets or Command Strips but no adhesives such as tape or glue. Over-the-door hanging organizers must hang inside the stateroom, must also be of fire retardant material and cannot damage the door No decorations of any kind are allowed on balconies No decorations or items may be placed over light fittings or fixtures. This may restrict the airflow and cause the item to ignite No string lights of any kind are allowed For the safety of all guests and crew, any decorations not made of fire retardant material or deemed flammable, will be removed and no compensation will be provided. Stateroom decorations purchased via our Fun Shops online are made of fire retardant materials. For more information, please visit www.carnival.com/funshops if you are interested in making a purchase.
  5. Please indulge us by explaining how ANY decoration applied to a metal (i assume since magnets stick to them?) would be the cause or an accelerant for a fire?
  6. Totally agree, but the actual door itself could be considered private property for at least your cruise. Would be akin to rental property, legally speaking it is considered "your" private property while you are occupying the space.
  7. My DW will be decorating our door as usual until someone tells me otherwise and I have the opportunity to debate my decision.
  8. Hahaha, let me know how it works out and I might follow suit 😜!
  9. Helen, i have an AMAZING CVP I have personally worked with for my 1st upcoming Princess cruise and would highly recommend her, IM me if you are interested.
  10. So the "fire hazard" isn't an issue if you want to burn yourself up in a fire by placing it on the inside of the door but not okay on the outside? 🙄
  11. Although I agree that your negative experiences aren't a great look but the positives you list are the most important ones to make a vacation great overall imho
  12. Maybe now that you add that upside down pineapple on your door you will get more traffic to your cabin 🤣
  13. What a grumpy "stay off my lawn kids" kind of retort!! LOL
  14. If true and enforced on our future cruises my DW will be so disappointed
  15. Not sailed on Princess yet but very experienced cruiser, I have never had a problem with the amount of time drinks take in the MDR but maybe this is a more Princess related problem if you have read this complaint several times? If you have a suite or mini reserve you will probably be able to get drinks in a more reasonable timeframe since these guests have a dedicated area and staff.
  16. Almost in the same boat as you on an upcoming May sailing. The Reserve mini suite is really just a big balcony room, just like a mini suite with RCCL, with an added MDR dinner advantage and premium cabin location. All the BIG suite perks are not included.
  17. Assuming that the person likes sci-fi/fantasy, those movies were fantastic!
  18. I think the current pricing is a no brainer even for me and my DW who are light drinkers but if it was $80.00 daily, that would probably be a hard no so they would loose add-on revenue from us...and as a 1st time Princess cruiser this would also tip the scale against being a return guest. The Plus package was a big factor in us trying Princess over another RCCL.
  19. And I don't think putting the mattress on the floor is a deal breaker but I would suggest that you, instead of asking the steward, move the mattress to and fro daily. Bottom line is i think you will have multi options so I, imho, wouldn't abandon the cruise because of the sleeping situation.
  20. Might be a little late to respond to OP but our finicky lol DD (20) has cruised with us many times and the princess actually loves the Pullman bed so I you might find it quite comfy. For our upcoming May cruise, we have a mini suite, and she opted for the Pullman over the couch.
  21. Found through google so not taking credit nor have I tried it. Ingredients: 2 oz. vanilla vodka 1 oz. chocolate liqueur 1 oz. raspberry liqueur 1 oz. simple syrup Ice cubes Toasted marshmallow or meringue for garnish Instructions: Spot the martini glass in the cooler for a couple of moments to chill. On the off chance that you are using a marshmallow, toast it gently with a toasting device or kitchen light until brilliant brown. In the case of using meringue, you can pipe a modest quantity onto a baking sheet and toast it in the broiler. Fill a shaker with 3D ice cubes. Pour in the vanilla vodka, chocolate alcohol, raspberry alcohol, and straightforward syrup into the shaker. Secure the shaker cover and shake the fixings overwhelmingly for around 15–20 seconds. This guarantees appropriate blending and chilling. Eliminate the martini glass from the cooler and strain the mixed drink into the chilled glass. Put the toasted marshmallow or meringue on top of the mixed drink for that Baked Alaska contact. Present the baked Alaska Martini with style, and serve right away.Partake in the wonderful combination of flavours and the exquisite show suggestive of an exemplary baked Alaska dessert. Cheers to your custom-made Baked Alaska Martini experience!
  22. I have also read that it doesn't take long at all but i would prefer to not chance it and just get the medallion in the mail and avoid any potential of delay.
  23. I have read some horror stories about times where it took 30-45 minutes waiting in line to pick up the medallion at port and that is the last thing I would want to do when trying to get on the ship.
