Although this will be our 1st cruise on Princess we have done countless others and have almost always been happy with the MDR so we probably wouldn't be interested in using a casual meal for dinner but would like to explore options for lunch on one or two days.

Is Vines the only casual venue on Emerald that could be open for lunch, on sea days or otherwise?

Does anyone know if there is a casual meal (included with plus & premiere) venue ever open for lunch on the Emerald?

Long time RCCL, 1st time Princess cruiser here, anyone have feedback on Emerald D325 or cabin(s) nearby? We are sailing in May/June. Thanks in advance for any info.

Same here I expect, don't know for a fact since I have not had to be concerned with a max, but it still should not potentially be an issue. They should have built in some functionality to dispute the delivery if one never actually happened.

Welcome to the board and to Princess!! Selfishly, I hope you have a great experience because we are in the same boat as you which would mean we made a great choice to expand our experiences! We are Diamond+ with RCCL but made the decision to cruise Princess for the 1st time in May.

Completely agree, this is the last thing I want to do on my vacation time.

This would not be great if it was counting towards your 15 minimum and you are historically close to hitting that ceiling. Has anyone had this happen, I am guessing a trip to guest services?

I do think the worth of the plus package to someone boils down to three factors when considering the cost of gratuities that is already factored in on the Plus package. 1) If you plan to buy an Internet package then it is probably worth it considering the little cost difference from individually paying for gratuities and for internet to Plus. A difference which can be satisfied by simply the bottled water that you should be drinking to stay hydrated lol let alone the unlimited teas, juices, sodas, premium coffee that is also included. 2) If you do plan on drinking 5+ alcohol drinks per day, which is not that hard to do imho, my DW and I are not heavy drinkers but find it pretty easy to have at least 5 a day and much more than that on sea days 3) Peace of mind that you don't have to worry about the cost That is one mans opinion but put a bit of thought into it since we are not heavy drinkers in the least bit...and yes, we have the Plus package and I promise you (and not mentioned above), I am going to CRUSH one of those premium ice cream sunday desserts 🤑

Speaking of waters, can someone tell me how many waters you can order at one time using one medallion? Same with energy drinks? I know with RCCL I can do two at a time. I usually try to stock up for the room and to pack in my backpack while in port.

While I cannot speak for others, but as an avid RCCL cruiser, I have always purchased the Royal Replenish package (non alcohol including juices, premium coffee, water, sodas, etc.) along with WIFI and I am spending around $35.00 per day with RCCL. With the included tips from the plus package that means I can drink up to 15 alcohol drinks for around $8.00 so that is a no brainer and pretty darn good deal for me and my DW. BUT, to each their own...just my humble opinion.

So my frustration with shipping charges is now elevated. FINALLY found time to chat with them again this morning but the only recourse (this new rep had) after spending well more than an hour on 2 separate times was that I pay the shipping and then get OBC when we board the ship. Obviously, this isn't about a $10.00 shipping fee but the principal of them expecting my to bend over backwards to get them to complete what has been promised since I purchased the Princess Plus package. So the only recourse I am given now (no mention of being able to remotely fix and/or 24 hr wait time as the first chat rep told me smh) is that I now spend my vacation time in getting a $10.00 refund, correction, a 10:00 offset in OBC? And why I am being forced to accept OBC when I paid out of pocket for the error? Mind you, this is my 1st Princess Cruise after 40+ cruises and 30 something with RCCL, I have had similar issues with RCCL & Celebrity (I know they are owned by RCCL but still operate separately) and they were fixed immediately.

Especially when you have contacted customer service ugh

I am very glad your shipping fee is correct but after updating the app (and there was a pending update I completed) and signing out and resigning in I am unhappy to report that I am still being charged for shipping lol.

Lol, okaaay. I get the info from taking the time of getting to know my cabin stewards, waitstaff, officers, etc.. These folks are leaving families for months on end and sending money back home, so every bit more they get through tips is invaluable to them.

Unfortunately, I have had the same experience. I used the princess website chat feature (actually attempted several times but got sidetracked with other things and the dumb thing times out if you don't periodically confirm you are still waiting) but the rep after spending 30+ minutes "trying" various things finally told me that it should take 24 hours before the fee will be waived and assured me it would work. Well 5 days later I STILL have a $10.00 shipping charge lol.

Never cruised out of the US but expect it is the same in Australia. They want everyone off the ship ASAP so they can turn it over for the next incoming passengers. So staying on until 10:00 is probably not going to happen but I cannot speak from experience, by 10:00 am I am hours into my trip home lol.
