  1. Hello, we are sailing on the Horizon this Saturday and excited to see the  ABC islands for the first time!  I see there is pickleball on board,  but I don't see a dedicated net on the deck plans.  Is there a court or something that converts with a portable net?  How popular is pickleball on the Horizon?  Is there any playtimes organized that we might see on the day itinerary?  Thanks in advance!

  2. Hi, we will be snorkeling with Windwood this May, and the trip ends at 1 or 2 pm (trying to clarify now)  What, if anything does anyone recommend we do for the rest of the day?  We will be walking about 10 minutes to the Divi Flamingo resort where the Windwood crew is stationed.  Any advice or ideas is welcomed!

What I do is I fund my S&S account with a credit card, and at some point before the end of the cruise I visit guest services or a kiosk and pay off my balance with the gift card(s). That way I only use the amount I need  from the cards.

    oh great idea!  Thank you!

  4. Hi, I am going on a short cruise, and have recently purchased gift cards through AARP at a discount.  I used them on line to purchase my Cheers package.  I already have $100 on board credit coming to me.  If I present  $200 of gift cards when I check in at the cruise port to be put on my account,  if I don't use all of it, how does that work?  My plan is to use it for the casino.  Should  I just be sure to pull it all out at the casino?

    Thanks in advance, leaving Friday!

  5. Another thought,  I just purchased a different cruise through Crucon,  I put a balance down and the remainder is due soon.  Do you think I am able to purchase gift cards and pay the balance due with that?  The agent I purchased it through is on vacation for 7 more days. Does anyone else have experience with this?

Its not to good to be true. Its a casino rate deal. You pay $50 and they give you $50 on board credit to cancel it out. You pay taxes and port fees. I had an ocean view, 5 day cruise that cost me $152 total. It is last minute deals (2-7 days from sailing). And no room is a bad room on a cruise ship for "free".

    agreed!

  7. I constantly see under my last minute deals "$50 per person cruises", usually for the upcoming weekend.  I am constantly late, click on the link and there are no more available rooms.  Does anyone know when these rooms drop, and these prices are available?  For example, I looked Tuesday for the upcoming weekend, and none area available.  Today is Friday,  I don't see anything yet.  I am going to try to check constantly this weekend, but if anyone has any inside info that would be helpful, please share!

  8. Wow, I am going to watch for this, thanks for the information on where to see this. I will check daily.  I went with an inside room because my traveling partners were being cheapskates,  LOL.   We do have adjoining rooms,  so maybe we can get balcony upgrades nearby each other if we are offered.  Sailing on the Mardi Gras  4/23/22

  9. I had dragged my feet when originally booking, wanted to book a balcony, but by the time I booked they were sold out. The suites were over $2000 per person, so that wasn't gonna happen.  I went with a promenade view room which sounded fun, never had done that before.  I bid the minimum, since I was really ok with the promenade view.  Surprised I got it....but then again, they are not at full capacity, so I can see how they are trying to make a few extra $$$  with this process.

  10. Hi everyone, I just booked our ocean view balcony for our honeymoon May 12th! I tried to decide based on seeing what I could for floor plans. We are booked in room 8576, I am all about convenience to an elevator without being right next to one. It appears we are on the same floor as central park? Am I correct? I am trying to book my daughter and boyfriend's cabin, a virtual balcony. I am being offered decks 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. They are all in the front of the ship. I am questioning if anyone has ever stayed in these rooms. From the diagram i am seeing, it appears you have to go all the way down the hall and and reverse direction down the hall to get to the rooms. There appears to be a wall in a spot where i see an opening On deck 8, It appears to be an opening next to the restrooms, so It's not such a chore to get to your room. Is anyone familiar with this layout? Or maybe a second pair of eyes to look at the diagram I am looking at. 8426, 8430, seem like a direct walk, 8450, but that looks like it may be a noisy area? But notice the entrance to the open area of the ship in the diagram? The other floors don't offer that entryway.....Am I seeing this correctly? Any advice is welcomed!

  11. I just read somewhere on one thread that when you upgrade, bid or no bidding, you get the perks that came with that upgrade, so I am now thinking my OBC went from $25 pp, to $50 pp, now that I am in the balcony. Maybe the $100 just shows up differently from expedia. Just printing that summary and making sure I take it with me.
