Just google Stay and Cruise Fort Lauderdale and you will find lots of hotels that allow you to leave you car (many for a small price per day) if you stay the night before. Parking at Port Everglades is $15 per day.

No paperwork for luggage shipment. Frank Sansone', VP of Guest Relations, e-mail indicated we would get a Fedex overnight package, requiring a signature, the week of 12/10. For 2016 and 2018, I do not remember having to sign.

Exactly right.
That said, there are around 240 or so WCs on board. Given that there are a number of singles, that is nearly 75 percent capacity of the suites.

If you connect with a person who has cruised with Seabourn, they can provide you with a first time Seabourn cruiser coupon that provides you with a $400 shipboard credit. The person providing the coupon also receives a shipboard credit of $400 for their next cruise after you have completed your cruise.

A new twist - in nearly 500 days, I have never seen a premium wine by the glass list.

Will that be on the Amsterdam? We will be on that cruise as well
It's on the Silversea WC - 140 days touching all 7 continents with 3 full days in Antarctica. Also, stopping at Robinson Crusoe Island, an overnight anchor at Easter Island, and a stop at Pitcairn Island. SS is adding a crane and zodiacs for the landings in Antarctica. By the way, we have done a number of HAL cruises and were on the first 30 day segment of 2015 HAL WC.

Thanks for following!
You are most welcome. Keep up the great reporting!! Will be especially interested in your reporting on Antarctic as we go there in 2020 on another cruise line's WC.

OK, first time Seabourn cruiser, with extensive cruising experience on other lines, who is providing an extensive/comprehensive review of their experience and travels. I followed their blog from the HAL 2018 WC, and the amount of information/level of detail is amazing. It provided us with a wealth of knowledge for our upcoming African safaris on another cruise line's WC. Yet, the best some can do is to provide a snarky response.

I think you will like it very much. We are/were very much Seabourn diehards (almost 500 days). We are now SS diehards. We like the staff better and we think the MDR lunch and dinner menus have much more variety. We haven't been on the Encore/Ovation, so can't speak to the Thomas Keller grill. But on the Odyssey class ships, we were not impressed by the TK MDR insert items or the TK family style dinners in the Colonnade. La Terrazza is similar to the Colonnade for breakfast & lunch but turns into a wonderful Italian restaurant for dinner with a menu that rotates every 4 days or so. Also, La Terrazza makes wonderful, made from scratch pizzas. SS Champagne (Pommery or Monopole) Is better than Seabourn's Nicolas Feuillatte. The Panorama Lounge is pretty quiet for a before/after dinner drink. The bar, however, can be quite busy and somewhat noisy. Here's some of the menus. The first 7 are dinner, the next 7 are lunch. I also included the Premium wine list and the room service/always available menu,

Good luck. We have struck up friendships with several of the sommeliers, but haven’t had any luck getting the list. You would think that with over 350 days, we might be able to get the list.

Glad you found this helpful. I also have copies of the lunch and dinner menus along with the premium wine list if you would like to see any of these items. Unfortunately, SS does not give out the complimentary wine list, but they have a very wide variety and their complimentary wines are the best among the luxury cruise lines. They have a wine ambassador, whose sole job is to travel around the world and buy some of the very best complimentary wines. Occasionally, he is onboard for a wine cruise and they go to great lengths to get local wines - Australian, New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, Argentina, etc.

First eight days Chronicles from our recent 26 day cruise. Generally there is music in the Bar before and after dinner with a trio (not all nights due to show commitments). There was usually a pianist in the Panorama Lounge after dinner. Let me know if you would like some additional days.

And again I ask if anyone knows how I can contact Silversea by email.
I do have a life and this will be our 3rd Silversea cruise. I love interacting with the butler. I am one who thinks every suite having a butler is an advantage of SS over the other luxury lines.
And trust me, I will drink whatever they put in the suite if it sparkles. It could be Cooks for all I care, I would like to have a welcome bottle on ice waiting for us like it used be on our prior luxury cruises.
Have your travel agent or you can write to Special Services at SpecialServices@silversea.com for your request. Since they usually only stock coke products, I request a specific number of diet pepsi. They are usually very responsive and will inform you when they have accommodated your request. Hope this is helpful.

The Wind left Port Everglades at 2:23 pm and is scheduled to arrive in Freeport at 7 PM to begin her scheduled drydock.
-
She is headed towards Barbados and arrives tomorrow. I believe all the passengers will probably disembark and then she will probably head to Freeport for Drydock, although she may do a cruise to San Juan and then head to Freeport. The Wind just left Port Everglades and is headed to Freeport for her Drydock.

You would have to fly to Union Island & then take a 20 minute boat ride to Mayreau.

Another option is to take a bus from the central bus station to go out to visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. We missed the ship's tour and did this on our own. It was a little faster as we set our own schedule and alot cheaper. One of the few places you can actually hold a koala. Some other interesting animals as well.
See the following link - https://koala.net/.
DCC57 is fine with me.

According to the US Center for Disease Control, a number of the countries in Africa are rated as high risk for malaria with a number of other countries rated as moderate. Hopefully everyone is aware of these risk and making arrangements for the appropriate malaria pills.

My recollection is that Seabourn did not provide a shuttle due to the taxi union. There is very little around the deep sea port.

No Hot Rocks, but they were serving hot gluhwine throughout the ship.

In 2016, a shuttle bus dropped you near the aquarium in Darling Harbour. In 2018, SS provided a water shuttle that dropped you near the Oversea Passenger Terminal near Circular Quay.
