I thought it was funny too. Was he supposed to say it tasted like pork chops? LOL
When you are used to having seafood you understand fish is never supposed to taste like it smells, it's an indicator of how well it's prepared and how fresh it is.

The burgers are good but not fabulous, I have better locally.
I think Waterworks is overated. Personally, I wish it were smaller and we still had 3 pools like the conquest class so one could be adult only.
I also think the lobster is overrated, it's Carribean lobster and not Maine lobster.

They are nice but I would pay full price for one. We were upgraded to one for $300 on the triumph a few years ago, the tub is nice and long balcony but we still like the Lido deck better.

The minute I'm approached by someone on my vacation trying to market to me I will report it to the CD and if it's not handled then I'll cruise with someone else - it's not like Carnival has rock bottom prices anymore. This is so disheartening.
-
Yes! Just a $500 gift card for the sign and sail. Cruising in less than 2 weeks...
I hope you get them in time!
-
The $500 are already sold out but I got 10 $100

Not no but hell no! If you want nice food with kids order off the steakhouse selections menu. I don't care how well behave people think their children are, chances are, they aren't after 2 hours.

You aren't out of texas waters until late in the evening, usually after 8 or 9pm. I've never had an issue getting served any beverage while on board during this time. Just know that if you pre purchase alcohol from Bon Voyage (Fun Shops) they won't deliver it until then either.
-
When do you find out? Would I have time to book another room? I have a 4j but would upgrade to a balcony if given time
-
If available, you can get both. When we had a suite we still bought FTTF so we could drop our bags. Your printable documents list both

That's nice.
Now back to the question. Do the bars make any effort to chase out the cruise passengers?
Due to a storm, there were some carnival tenders late getting back and I know there were some drunks who kept jumping off the tender boat coming back from Belize who kept telling them they would leave them. They said, "you don't understand, we don't get sued here, we will leave you".
Personally, I've never been in port so close to taking off so I can't say.

We just got off the dream on 3/22 and the thallasopool jets were broke and they blew you off the seating area. Also, the cooling showers were broke so it was pretty useless for us. The lanconium area was nice but not worth the price for me.

It is impossible to "fall" over the rail. There are only three things that could have happened.
1. They were thrown over
2. They jumped
3. They climbed on something whether it's the railing, a table or chair, or whatever.
At any rate I would not be a happy camper to be on that cruise. First off for missing HMC one of my favorite ports, and second because it seems that it has put a damper on the mood of things.
Feel sorry for his family and that's all I'm going to say about that.
I'm with you. Yes, while I am sympathetic to the situation, people's stupidity can affect someone else's vacation and I'd be highly upset to miss HMC and have a black cloud over the rest of my vacation.
I've been pretty damn drunk but I don't think I've ever been drunk enough to sit on the railing of a ship or climb on things. Given this happened at 2am and that he's 20 something my money is on drunken foolishness.

Prayers to those involved. I do agree that's it's virtually impossible to just fall without outside factors and coinciding with it being a young college student on spring break I'm willing to bet alcohol was a factor. I've seen too many young, drink kids (and adults) sitting on railings or hanging over. Its sad but all too common and without a sober person in your party to watch out it's bound to continue

They will love it! Mine has been cruising since she was 4! Personally, you might want the deluxe ocean view with the junior tub, same size as a balcony without the fear of boys on a balcony and the extra bathroom is nice so 2 can get ready.

Command hooks are great too

We finally have the options for a cruise to nowhere out of Galveston and I've always wanted to do one. In my experience the shorter cruises are more booze cruises and I'm curious if this is the case with the very short cruises to nowhere.
-
Oh, this makes me happy happy happy! I hope they do more cruises to nowhere but I'm sure it's because it's repositioning.

Not spa rooms. We booked in July one 8p (spa balcony) and a 4s (spa interior) and have yet to see any drops - all prices are $200-$300 higher and we are 32 days out. Ive never had problems with regular balcony rooms before
-
I didn't think so but we don't spend a ton of time in our room. I regretting leaving the lido deck for our grand suite. I'm glad I did it because it was only a few hundred bucks and I can say I did it but I won't leave lido again or ever pay regular price.
-
Bring an inflatable tub or TINY pool (so no one trips all over her) - the purpose is two-fold, you can use it as a tub in the stateroom vs showering her. I've seen people use these
-
We average $100/day on drinks so we are going to get it this time and I suspect that DH will drink more and I'll drink the same so we will come out about right. I'll probably try to slide a few drinks to my mom too since she's in another room and not a big drinker.
-
We booked so far out ( 9 months) and we have two spa cabins I doubt I'll get any OBC but I'm still hopeful as there are rooms left. 36 days out and I'm not too thrilled I haven't had any drops.

This!
This is where they screwed themselves, IMO.

Great review! We sale in November and can't wait. I, too, have MS so I understand the heat intolerance. Glad he's doing well. I noticed he's on copaxone - I'm so much better on the new pill, Gilenya, and have been relapse free for 6 years. If he is looking for something different tell him to check it out.
