Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I've seen those "offers" too. My brothers and I like to organize a bar crawl when we cruise, and we provide theme hats, beads etc. on our own dime. Always a good time! Aside from maybe buying a group shirt, I'd be suspect of anyone looking for money for a bar crawl.
  2. You can also find the room service menu on the hub app. We cruised the Celebration in December and a few mornings had coffee, yogurt, bagels and juice delivered - no charge and delivery was within 30 minutes from calling every time.
  3. Thank you so much for posting this. We took the pasta making class on the Celebration recently and really enjoyed it. Couldn't find a lot of info on the Latin dinner so we skipped it, but I'm def booking it next time. I think the Carnival Kitchen is a great addition to the new ships and well worth the $$.
  4. Hi. You won't find one organized by Carnival, but usually someone in the facebook group for your cruise will. Join your group and look under "events". We organized our own on the Magic last year and just put the invite out there. Over 20 people showed up and we had a great time!
  5. Hi Mary. We went to that beach last March and the water was beautiful - no sewage smell when we were there. $10 to rent a lounge chair. The girl at the rental shed called her cousin who picked us up in a mini van and took us on an island tour, pre-ordered lunch for us from his recommended food vendor (we just crossed our fingers, but so glad we did!), returned and picked us up after lunch. I think he charged us around $100 but split between us it was well worth it. Had the freshest seafood salads, etc. We'll be there again in March and hopefully do the same. Have also done the beach club in the past (about $40 entry fee) and that's also a fun way to spend the day. No need to pre-book, just take the free shuttle and pay as you go. Enjoy!
  6. Yes, you can still book the second person TBD and add (or delete) a name at a later date. I do it all the time. Enjoy. I think you may have to technically book one adult and one 17 year old in each cabin though.
  7. Just stayed in almost your exact cabin solo a few weekends ago. Excellent location, roomy cabin and a great night's sleep. My friends were on deck 2 in an Oceanview and it was noisy - galley noise, mechanical noise, etc. I'd do an interior again-no problem. Enjoy.
  8. Very helpful. I also want to whale watch in Juneau, so your info on location is just what I needed. Thanks for responding.
  9. Appreciate any input as I try and choose from the following excursions. Cost/Times are about the same. A) Mendenhall Glacier via Helicopter & Guided Walk or B)Glacier Discovery by Helicopter in Skagway Thanks!
  10. Hi. Just booked a Carnival Alaska cruise for summer '23. Accoring to Carnival website and confirmed by my Carnival rep, unvaccinated with a negative PCR test is permitted for Canada cruises. He also stated that an onboard complimentary test will be given prior to debarking in Canada: Canada: All guests age 5 years and older have to present a PCR test taken within 3 days before sailing or an antigen test within 2 days before sailing. Additionally, unvaccinated guests will be given a complimentary test on board, within 24 hours of arrival to port, to comply with destination requirements.
