It would be worth $3.84 to me not to carry it up the gangway and around with me if I board before staterooms are ready.

Totally agree. Just surprised they charge. We usually cruise royal & have never been charged for water.

Check on board ship for any restrictions on taking the scooter on the tender.

It may not be possible depending on conditions  the day you port at Princess Key.

Thanks! I’ll check. It does collapse like a suitcase so he won’t be on it on the tender, so hopeful.

  3. Husband uses a collapsible mobility scooter when we need to do a lot of walking. We don’t want to take the tender there then find out he won’t be able to use it. Are there paved areas or is it just sandy areas?

Agree entirely very similar to us tremendous cruise and the benefits of no flying no weight restrictions on your luggage and as you say five minutes from car park to ship.

We had an 11.30am embarkation time but ended up getting parked at 10.30am got checked in and were on board within 20 minutes.

Our only negative ====== wait for it.

For some reason we got stopped ( never have done before if cruising or flying ) by the customs people and had a full search of all our suitcases and hand baggage which delayed us about 15 to 20 minutes.

They were all great ports of call but Cadiz was also our favourite also.

we were also on this cruise. Agree with everyone AND how cold the ship was. We were particularly impressed with the organization for express walk off. Left our  room and in our car in less than 10 minutes. Great cruise!

  5. I am also wondering with the “ free” drink package. Do they give you cans of soda or is it fountain soda same as soda package?!

im trying to decide if “ free at sea” packages are really worth it for us.
thanks everyone for your help. As I said, it’s been several years since we’ve sailed NCL and unfamiliar with their policies.

  6. We have always purchased insurance through Allianz.  But as they say, you never really know how good your insurance is until you need it. Well, my husband had surgery mid November and was unable to travel for our Dec 1st cruise. I contacted Allianz & uploaded documents they requested and in less than 2 weeks I had the refund check. Needless to say, they are my choice for travel insurance.

  7. Not sure if I can promote this but I love cruise critic because I learned of this website on here. It’s a website to locate a hotel that offers use of a hotel with room for a “ day”. We just got off a cruise but had a late flight. We booked a hotel, had a lovely room and use of all the facilities for the day and a place to keep our luggage while we enjoyed the area. It was great for my husband who tires easily that he could rest also. Most cities have hotels that offer this. Check it out if you need this service.

  8. Does anyone have experience using this website to book a “ day use” hotel while waiting for an evening flight after a cruise?

I booked one for the Riverside on Los Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. ( stayed there in the past and it’s a great hotel) but just seems odd that I got a confirmation but didn’t give any info except my name & email address 🤷‍♀️

  9. First time on celebrity. Leaving in 2 weeks. Currently we are in an OV balcony with all perks included. We have bids in on 2 different categories. If we are successful, do our perks go with us or will we be required to pay for gratuities, drink package and wi-fi?
