We have a B2B planned with some friends who are only going on the first leg with us.
We will purchase alcohol in port the first week and have THEM carry it on from the port and it will
be given back to THEM the night before they disembark. They will make a stop at our room before leaving the ship...... :-)
Perhaps you can make some "friends" on that first leg......just a thought....good luck!

Agree totally with "shopper77" We have stayed at the Best Western on a few occasions and have them booked again for December. Shuttle to port, free breakfast, free parking, and friendly staff and the price was less than $100 for both of us. Try Trinity Reservations, they are very helpful and great also.

Just got off the phone with the 3rd carnival rep and yes, indeed, I not only had to pay a $300 cancellation fee, the port charges increased by $22 so I had to pay that also. I am aware that is the policy, it just seems ridiculous to charge $322 to change a name on a reservation. Afterall, if my husband ended up going there would be no additional fee for that room. This is our 10th Carnival cruise and I have 2 other cabins booked with us, so thought they would cut me some slack. Just my opinion. thanks for all the help.

We have a cruise booked [paid in full) and my husband can't go, so my sister wants to take his place. Anyone know if this is possible and how much they will charge? Thanks!

Thanks for the info, but we already have made arrangements to travel half-way and then stay. Park n Fly was only showing a hotel for $219 plus transportation to the pier. I just learned about the $30 per day at Manhattan. WOW Guess I will keep quiet! LOL

Leaving on Jan 2nd on EOS out of Bayonne. Parking is going to cost $266 for 2 weeks!
I understand parking is a cost of cruising but seriously $266 and I don't think there are any other viable options. Just wanted to vent! LOL

FYI: We were on the same cruise and actually signed up (with another couple) for the "hell's kitchen" dining experience. Our head waiter came to our table the night before our reservation and said that they heard from "Headquarters in Miami" that they are no longer allowed to offer the "hell's kitchen" We were told it was for "safety" reasons. We were very disappointed because the people who were lucky enough to experience it, said it was "3 hours of awesome" The head waiter invited our party of 4 into the kitchen for a quick tour during dinner. We were shown where the table was sitting for the dinner and it was obviously in front of a door that said "Do not block, electrical inside". She told us to be sure mention on the comment cards that we would like to have "hell's kitchen" experience return. We hope they can work it out to offer it again.
We really enjoyed our cruise tho!!!
