Thank you Paul.

We will be in St Kitts in 2 weeks and we seem to have plenty of time to take the ferry to Nevis. Once we get there can we walk around and see anything on our own? We don't plan to be there too long but have been to St Kitts several times and wanted to do something different.
-
We have eaten at both and enjoyed them. Fishlips is our favorite tho. The shrimp and coleslaw are delicious! Enjoy!!
-
Oh, so we will have to eat at the specialty restaurant the first night? Okay, that is probably why we haven't done that before. LOL Too tired and hectic a day to go to a 2 hour dinner the first night on the ship. I would imagine most people think that way, hence, the offer. LOL
Thank you for the prompt reply...

We are Diamond Plus and understand that we get a discount for the specialty restaurant IF we book the first night on board. Can someone explain that a little further? We don't have to eat there the first night, right? What is the discount? And my sister is Emerald, does she get the same offer? Thanks everyone!

:( Thanks for your quick reply tho. Guess we will have to get an earlier flight home.
Just thought we would spend the day in Tampa then go home but with luggage from a 2 week cruise............ugh!!
-
We will be coming into the Tampa port from a 13 day repositioning cruise. We would like to book an evening flight home, only if we can send our luggage to the airport from the ship. Anyone have recent knowledge if RCCL offers this from the Tampa port to Tampa airport for southwest airlines?

I just looked at our itinerary. I made a mistake: no CARTAGENA on this cruise.
This is our itinerary for the Carnival Sunshine 13 day cruise in Feb 2016. In this order:
St Martin, Dominica, Barbados, Trinidad, Grenada, Martinique, St Kitts, St Thomas.
I will post when I find out if we do indeed need innoculations and the reasoning for it.
-
Good point, Velvetwater!! That makes sense, that it is the countries we are visiting AFTER visiting a "potential" yellow fever country that is requiring the innoculations. I will check into this a little more. Again, thanks for the tips. Love CC!!

INCHARGE, no we had no idea when we booked this cruise. altho, we will still go. We usually cruise 3-4 times a year and have never encountered this. The letter mentions Barbados but we have been there many many times and never experienced this. The only ports we are visiting that we haven't been to before are Trinidad and Cartagena. I am thinking perhaps it is the Caragena port that is creating the issue. Apparently we will need innoculations before we travel. Thanks everyone for your valuable input. If I find anything else out, I will certainly post.
Thanks again!!

Sorry if this has been discussed, I haven't seen it. We have not been on Carnival in over 2 years and we recently booked the Sunshine for Feb 2016. We have both received and email regarding getting a "yellow fever certificate" to travel and we are responsible for this and may be denied boarding if we don't comply. I went to the website it suggested and I am still not quite sure what we are supposed to do. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks CC for all your invaluable help through the years.. :)

How, when and where do you purchase this FTF? We aren't going until 2016 but would like to purchase it. thanks for the info.
-
Thanks for the quick response. Perhaps I will take a chance and call...could use a little on board credit... :) Thanks again!

Does anyone know why our port charges are $105.16 per person and my sister just booked the same cruise(same date) and her port charges are $76.58? We booked quite a few months ago, but what does that have to do with anything?
-
Just a quick response : Just off Quantum last week, and the OP is correct. Most room service items are now "pay per item" no matter what time of the day you order. Very few items on the menu are free.
-
Thank you both. We are 3 couples traveling together, but if we can just pick up the phone in the room and make reservations, that will be wonderful!! My main concern was that they didn't notify us until it was too late to rebook anything. Thanks for your prompt reply.
Now off to work I go!! Feeling better.... :)

typoLeaving on Monday Dec 1 2014 We have had reservations for this cruise from the first day you could book. Later, when we were permitted, we booked our show and dinner reservations and printed them out. We got the same text and phone call on Wednesday from RCCL telling us to reprint and check our documents and "please respond to verify you got this message"
I reprinted our documents. The setsail pass only had a different muster station. WHEW!
However, the cruise planner calendar shows we only have a couple of dinner reservations now and of course, we are within a few days of sailing so can no long make reservations on line.
Also, a couple of our show times have been changed.. WHAT???? You make random changes and then notify us just a few days before sailing? Anyone else experience this for the Quantum? I would imagine it will be a nightmare on board making dinner reservations. I had hoped that I would be able to relax and enjoy this new ship, since I made all my reservations so early.

Hello everyone........really enjoying everyone's reviews and posts from the TA sailing.
We are on her Dec 1st. We and our friends are in balcony cabins beside each other.
Do the dividers open and are there "rules" about when and how they are opened?

I have called twice now and have gotten 2 price drops on our February cruise. However, I just called Royal Carribean directly. Am I missing something about calling C&A desk? We are Diamond Plus also, but it never occured to me to call them for a price drop. I have to admit, last week when I called for the 2nd price drop, the man on the phone said it had dropped only a few dollars, but when I told him I was looking at the computer right in front of me, he said, "let me put you on hold and talk to resolutions" and of course, I got the corrected price. Always pays to question their price if it differs from the one you are seeing.

Thanks for the replies. Altho, when I looked at the shore excursion on the catamaran to Nevis, it says "currently unavailable, please check once on board" ? Not sure what that means, PLUS, the catamaran sail was $100 pp for 4 hours. Seemed a little high priced to me,but we will definitely check once on board and I'll post a review if we go there. Thanks again!!
-
Once again thanks!! I knew I could count on my CC friends. Happy sailing!!
-
Thanks for your quick response. That might be a better option. However, another question:
What if SHE can't go, but someone else can, how do they handle "name changes"?
-
Okay, CC experts.... :) Our family is booked on a cruise,(Oct 2015) our son wants to go and will probably have to book a "single supplement" room. If his daughter is able to get away from college and go along, can he add her to the room? How does that work? Never been involved in a "single" room reservation.....thanks everyone.

Having been to St Kitts many times, we decided we would like to take the ferry to Nevis on our next trip. However, our port time is now 11am until 7pm. I checked the ferry schedule, but would someone with experience or knowledge with the schedule, give me your opinion. Is this going to be possible for us? Open for suggestions....Thank you in advance.
"pack for a purpose"

Thanks to everyone on CC who told me about this organization. We are leaving on the Brilliance for the repositioning cruise out of Boston next weekend and I am happy to say that we "packed for a purpose" and are taking a suitcase full of school supplies to the children in Barbados. And a huge "thank you" to JET BLUE for waiving their baggage fee for that extra suitcase.
