  1. Do your manners work? It's Sunday, they're not open.
  2. I go back and forth on this issue, but I think in the future I'll be going strictly no TA. I have quite a few cruises booked, 2 without a TA and 4 with. Today I was looking at the prices and found a $250 price drop on one without a TA. I called and got it changed, no problem. The other was a $600 price drop on one with a TA. I message, emailed, and am still waiting. If they don't get that price change for me, that'll be the deciding factor. That's a lot of money, and since the most I get on board is chocolate covered strawberries or something, I'm good with having total control. I've had this happen before with a Disney booked vacation. There was a hurricane (Irma, I think) and I had to scramble to make changes, but I couldn't do a thing. I called my TA so many times, only to get a message back much later that she was at the gym and would get back to me. Since the rooms at Disney were being changed by tons of people for the same reason, time was of the essence, and I missed out.
  3. Just booked our first B2B on Allure, last week of Feb and first week of March 2022. Can't wait. We love the Oasis class, and after the refurb it's going to be amazing.
  4. Whoops, apparently searching Ty The Hunter doesn't get you there. Maybe try tythehunter.com or just Ty The Hunter High Tea, etc.
  5. We were on the RC Ovation in May and had a short stop in Victoria. We didn't see anything we were super excited about by way of excursions, so we walked into Victoria and checked out the city. We came across a woman at a podium offering horse drawn carriage rides, so we took an hour tour, it was awesome! We then went across the street to the Empress Hotel and had high tea, also wonderful! We didn't have reservations for either of these places, they were very last minute, but I can recommend both whole heartedly. So, if you're looking for something to do that's not offered by your cruise, and you like horses/scenery/good food, check these out. I did write blog post reviews of both, you can google Ty The Hunter and find everything under the Cruises tab, if you like. I hope it helps! Have a great time in Victoria! PS - I'm not a travel agent, affiliated with these tours, or anything of the sort. I'm just a gal who likes to travel and enjoys blogging about it. 🙂
  6. We did the helicopter to Meade (Skagway) in late May (or early June) and went around 1 p.m. It was beautiful, but the tour guide did tell us that you just never know what you're going to get. I wrote a blog post about our particular tour, so if you'd like to read it, you can google Ty The Hunter Temsco Helicopter Tour. I originally scheduled the tour for the morning with the same thought, that if it got delayed, at least we'd still be able to get it in. RC double booked our excursions though, so we had to change the helicopter tour to the afternoon since it was all that was left. We ended up doing White Pass in the morning, then Temsco in the afternoon, but it worked out fine. I almost think I'd try for early so at least you're not feeling as stressed if weather delays your flight. Also, depending on where you go first, you might book a tour there and then, if it doesn't work out, see if you can book a similar tour in a later port? The only trouble there is it booking up. It was beautiful, so I hope it works out for you!
  7. We took this tour in May and ended up doing the morning tour because we had a tour booked (Meade Glacier helicopter) in the afternoon. It was very nice, a bit cloudy, but not terrible. I wrote a blog post about both the train ride and the helicopter tour, so if you'd like to read them, see the pictures, etc, just google Ty The Hunter White Pass Summit and you should find it. It was a great excursion, especially seeing some of the Yukon. I really wish they'd let you stop up there, maybe put up a restaurant or whatever, but I'll take what I can get. 🙂
  8. I just wanted to pop in and rave about this tour. We took it on a whim on our cruise (last week) and absolutely loved it. You go to a sand track overlooking the ocean and they teach you to drive a Blokart. It's basically a gokart with a sail attached. It was the best tour we've ever been on (or at least top two, because our helicopter trip to Meade glacier in Alaska was really good), and we cannot wait to go back. I wrote a blog post about it, so if you'd like to read the details, you can. Just google Ty The Hunter Bonaire Landsailing. I'm not affiliated by any means, and I think once word gets out, this excursion is going to be hard to get, but it was wonderful and if you like tours that let you control things, this is a not to miss type of thing. If you do it, I hope you have a great time! We loved it so much!
  9. I haven't read all of the replies, but if you want to try landsailing, Bonaire is the only place I've seen it offered. It's a quick trip, around 2 hours from start to finish, and it's just a fantastic tour. You get to drive a go kart with a sail around a track near the ocean for about 45 minutes. Truly one of the best tours we've ever been on. You can google Ty The Hunter Landsailing Bonaire to see a pretty detailed blog post about it. I hope that helps!
  10. If you have a chance to do landsailing, we really loved that tour. The bus takes you there and back, you don't have to be fit to participate, and the ride is pretty smooth. It is fast paced, though, and you do drive the track for about 45 minutes. There's a good blog post about it if you google Ty The Hunter Bonaire Landsailing Adventure. However, it's all about the ride and not about exploring. I hope that helps!
  11. We're cruising Feb 24, 2021 on a 15 night NZ out of Sydney on the RC Ovation. Edit - Nevermind, sorry! I didn't realize this was just for those people who live in Australia and NZ. 🙂
