  1. I've researched 6 different cruises and I think all were group rates, but nothing extra for a D+ balcony discount that I can see. Maybe you can? Wonder Jan 12th 4D balcony $2639
  2. Does anyone ever get crown and anchor balcony discounts based on your level anymore?
  3. You get the points. Then you can cash them if you want
  4. These small boats from Port-au-Prince would have to travel well over 200 miles to get anywhere near Labadee
  5. you may able to get air back, but the price of the cruise isn't going to be less
  6. What cost would you think you'd get back if you go solo?
  7. Just off Explorer and there were several holdem cash tournaments (1 table) for cash, not for a cruise. Only one blackjack tournament the whole cruise.
  8. Hope you didn't miss "Velvet Band" on the Royal Prominade. They could sing anything
  9. What do you expect them to do? They offered full refund as well as other options
  10. What do you expect them to do? They offered full refund as well as other options
  11. I didn't stop to see him, but there was never an empty seat. I guess it's just you
  12. Just got off Sunday also. Production shows are all reruns for a decade or more. Used to not mind so much because of new performers doing them. Tired is an understatement for sure. Newer ships have actual musicals and are excellent. Ice show, the same. Just another rerun. The last day comedian was one of the best we've seen on the sea. Saw both of his shows. Drinks were hit and miss. Some great in one bar and poor in another. Solarium drinks were the best. Karaoke was about the worst ever. I remember cruising the Explorer out of Bayone where singers were mostly awesome. Balcony glass was caked in spray. No washy washy there. Cleaned it myself and could see through it again. Ports were all good and liked. Came home Sunday and tested positive. Oh great! I guess I'll write more. Great cruise overall, probably easily in our top 8 or 9
  13. Do the daily free drinks reset at midnight?
  14. Group dept at Royal has nothing to do with this. The TA is running the show. Contact them. That person organizing the group has the option to give perks or get a free fare for themselves
  15. I know, another tip thread. As you know tips are up AGAIN! $18 per day per person and even more for suites Looked for a breakdown on where the auto tips go and could only find the breakdown before the newest hike. Apparently Royal's new little secret. Stateroom attendant $3.55 Dining room $5.95 This is the tip breakdown in 2004 and I was shocked. "RCI recommends: a minimum of $3.50 per day per person to the cabin attendant, $3.50 per day per person to the waiter and $2.00 per day per person to the assistant waiter", $9 per day per person Almost the same as today as 20 years ago? How can that be right? The big difference in total cost now is the extra $6.50+ pp per day that Royal charges and calls "Other Hotel Services" I assume that those tips are for behind the scenes workers that you can't personally tip. I did some research and found in a couple places stating that these employees are hired for a set salary and that Royal offsets that amount with these tips. If the contract is for more than the tips received, then Royal makes up the difference. These workers would make the same regardless the amount of tips collected unless they exceeded the contracted salary. Wonder if it ever happens.
  16. Bumped at the pier? NO! Happened very few times that I've ever seen Where are your sources for all this info that only you can find?
  17. No way it would be repriced at ck in. Ck in people could care less what you paid or who shows up or not
