have now made 23 attempts to log in online to look at excursions, tried chrome, microsoft edge etc. just keeps booting me out before i get to them, fed up with the way it is handled - where do they get their IT specialists from.   their loss is my gain. i will save a lot of money.

received email re the upgrade for cruise on pursuit in november. Min bid from inside to Balcony was £990 per person with strong bid at £2470pp !!  the lowest possible bid would make  my total cruise only price £200 more pp than someone booking new now - no brainer No bid made. its another kick in the head for loyal customers.

The app looks quite nice, and has some useful features even prior to boarding the ship. It looks like I'll be able to use it to check-in in just 7 days.

sorry I think you misunderstood me, I have ios 10 not ios 11 - wont let download to any device below ios  11  thanks again.

it doesn't download or work on ipad or iphones which cant run ios 11

 not much of a boon to anyone who is already booked under the original share and save offer

We have been twice from Southampton to Caribbean, once to Antigua and once to St Maarten, both via Madeira. Both times we had sun most of the day on the Port Side balcony and passengers on Starboard side had little or no sun for the whole crossing. I don't understand the science of it but that is what happened.

That is assuming that Aurora is on the equator.

As the ship is north of the equator the sun will be on the port side for most of the day and only just reaching the starboard side around sunset.

disagree - sorry. they are definitely north of the equator - transatlantic travelling south of west all the way to Antigua - impossible for the sun to be on the port side all day - unless the sun doesn't set in the west anymore

please excuse my lack of nautical knowledge but port out starboard in doesn't always work - far from it, take the example of aurora at the moment which for the past 2 days has been travelling at 260degs and will continue to do so until reaching Antigua which means the sun would be setting on the starboard side if any or if altered to 270degs would be heading direct west and no one would get the sun on the way over - vice versa of course for the return .... cheers

I think basically that all the doubters on here are basically anti British military services and need to take a long look at themselves and think who fought in the past and recent past to make it possible for them to cruise around the world in relative safety, enough said.......

Can I just say for those complaining in another thread about Military getting OBC and not nurses. All NHS workers, Policemen, Fire Service etc can get the same OBC as the military if they get a Blue Light Card £4.99 for 5 years, plus you can get discounts for other holidays, restaurants, shops , all sorts of places. Well worth it. Plus I think different trade unions and the like also can get discounts.

agreed - I spoke to p and o 2 days ago about military benefits and the agent told me that they give obc etc to lots of different agencies eg: nhs, police, civil service - a long list , i think the complainers on the other thread need to take a step back and look at themselves..

sorry to hear of the problems with rowdy behaviour etc on your cruise, we too experienced the same last summer in the med on a 6 night cruise from Barcelona, 80 percent of the guests were first timers and a huge proportion were either travel agents or a large south African banking contingent on a freebee. most of those were very rude and very drunk most of the time. even to the point of one of them shoving my wife out of the queue at the white night when all she wanted was something from the very end of the line as she had everything else on her plate from various sections, . anyway once again I totally agree that rude and inconsiderate cruisers can impact greatly on a cruise . so happier cruising in the future

no I wasn't on the cruise -

I did not personally attack anyone. I told the facts of events that happened during my cruise, and the facts of that cruisers nasty comments on this board before that cruise. I don't believe she was anymore embarrassed about her antics that night than she was her rudeness to fellow cruisers before and during the cruise. I think she was trying to be funny with her dancing. I only found it funny in light of her rude comment to a question about shorts. The story had a moral, evidently it escaped you.

Hi folks, my last post on this subject. The prices are HUGELY inflated from the original itinerary, as brits we have been able to go to Cuba for a long time, so the new itinerary at the newly inflated prices holds no interest for us whatsoever, as I'm sure most bris would agree we are not interested as Lottie says in some rundown carribbean island, we were going to book the original end of march itinerary but certainly not going to now at approx. £1000 per person more for a couple of nights in Cuba which we are not interested in . thanks all for the interesting thread. !!!

I have not looked at prices. just do not understand why it is not showing on the UK site. I think port taxes are more right now in Cuba. Only guessing here. but a 1000 pounds is a lot. Cuba itself is not costly.

yeah robin, no one understands why they are not showing on the uk website, they are also not showing on any uk ta websites either...........very strange. my calculations may be out but I don't think so...

I used the link Bonnie posted at he top of this thread and then changed the flag to the Union Jack.

 

understand that but firstly that is not how anyone that is not on cruise critic would search, and also if you follow the booking process through it shows all the march cruises as sold out !!!

I am not not up on the UK prices but thse are very good port cruises. now if they took away Cayman i might of done a March cruise.

sorry you are wrong - if you search the normal way - no idea how you found them on the uk site - it says there are 5 cruises in march 2018 but when you check the list it only shows the 2 on journey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so please don't contradict me - I searched the totally normal way on the website - as I have done for the last 7 cruises in the past 2 years !!....

Still not back on the Uk site, perhaps they don't want us brits on the march cruises lol. its a total shambles in reality, any thoughts we had of booking one of the march cruises has gone out of our heads totally. will stick to our plans for land based holidays in 2018.
