We did a number of Retreat sailings last year and early this year, even once in a Royal Suite.  Now, looking at the prices, I can't bring myself to book anything higher than Aqua, and even that is really high due to all included, which frustrates me as I already get most of those perks all included at the Zenith level so I am in essence paying for a perk I don't need.  I know, poor me and all that, but it is very frustrating.  As a senior I don't know how many more years I will be able to enjoy the traveling I do now, and that also makes it frustrating when the ships are filling up with so many younger folks these days (which I know delights Celebrity).  And that is not a slam at younger people, it is what it is, but I don't think many non-seniors realize how much this impacts us, especially the older seniors.  Our traveling days are limited (how much we don't know) and we are facing such high prices traveling, as well as crowds everywhere.  So much for the retirement we dreamed about.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

We were guests of Celebrity from 1989 to 2018. The class apartheid on Celebrity is the reason we do not patronize this line any further PLUS your excellent point about no forward view on the E class.

We will not tolerate the elimination of key ship features like a forward view.

Now cruising on the premium and luxury lines who have minimal class apartheid and all of whom have outstanding forward views for EVERYONE.

I have a question for QuestionEverything.  Do you need more reasons why it  Is time to exit Celebrity?

Can someone come to my house and explain to my husband that its annoying to play videos on his phone not just without headphones, but on full blast early in the morning. He doesn't believe me. When I tell him its rude, his argument is that the TV volume is on, whats the difference? Ugh.

    InHomeCouplesTherapy.com     Maybe they can help.

Yes.... Casting is easier but is based on Android and not real apple friendly.

Good idea to buy a cable on Amazon and try on you home TV if it doesn't work you can return it within a month.

The Apple one works fine but the generic ones don't. I'm not familar with the word casting pertaining  to this subject. Thank You for the info

Yes that is correct.    Also Firestick is easy to slip in but the ability to log onto the Celebrity WiFi is problematic.     You often need to bring a mini-router or create a mini hotspot on you pc.   Roku on the other hand has a built in method to log onto a captive portal but lacks the capability of VPN that Firestick has as an app.

Can a Iphone or Ipad be connected using Apple lighting hmdi connector?

It find it much more likely to encounter an older generation person using a speakerphone or playing videos or music in public without headphones.

Younger generations have headphones and use them.

The younger older generation can connect their hearing aides via bluetooth. No need for headphones or earbuds.

    1. We go to stateroom to drop off bags and pick up SeaPass cards.  I will check balcony furniture to make sure it is adequate.

    2. We will both connect to the ship wi-fi and login to our wi-fi packages to get that established.

    3. I head straight to the specialty restaurants to make reservations for rest of dining package.

    4. My wife goes to the spa to make appointments.

    5. I check on MDR seating/reservations (sometimes)

    6. Somewhere in all this we do the muster drill on the app and check in at the muster station

    7. Go to Oceanview Cafe for lunch.

    8. Go back to stateroom to get things unpacked and setup; meet the stateroom attendant and discuss CPAP supplies (if we didn't receive them already), getting the refrigerator cleared, getting an ice bucket and water pitcher (and tip of course).

    9. Call my parents via FaceTime and let them see the stateroom and the port from the balcony and to tell them we are having a good time.

    10. Go to the bar to get a drink and head to the roll call sail away function (usually Sunset Bar).

All of the above plus on #9 ask for a later curfew.

    Here's the "real " answer:

" Hey, hey, yes YOU, You goof --- Turn your f---- music down  before I send that guy over there, yes, the big guy with the gorgeous blond you've been staring at for the last hour listening to that crap " !!

Now---- What do we/you about loudmouths sitting nearby in the dining room ?

Stay away from cude foul mouthed people in the dining room and solarium.
