Freedom steakhouse was awesome.

I would rather prepay my tips also. I don't pay for the cruise the day I board. Final payment is due months in advance. I like to prepay as much as I can. Less to worry about. And the tips is the easiest of all to pay in advance. You get every dime back if you cancel or don't make it for some reason. OP just call once your trip is paid in full.
Agree, We started prepaying our tips a few years ago.

Don't believe so as this has only happened once per cruise on our last few cruises.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Welcome.Enjoy your cruise.

Thank you for your review of the Freedom. She is one of my two favorite ships:) I also thought Jen is a very good CD.
Same here, Freedom and then Miracle. Not sure we'll sail either till Carnival moves them to other ports. Looking at other ships out of New Orleans and Fla.

Thank you Queenie. Do you know if there's anywhere online we can view them?
Thanks again!!
Believe Zydecocruiser has them on his web site.

It's really a crap shoot. Captain may nose in or back in to the pier. Overall we have had better luck on the port side most cruises.

Bring your own but please use a fresh cup from the stack to fill. Spent 12 days on the Freedom repo and watch everyday people ignoring that little sign above the drink dispensers.
Noticed the same thing everyday.Signs are posted but guess some people can't read.

Good afternoon all,
Does anyone know if the Freedom is on the new or old MDR menu? Also, can you tell me where I can look at a copy?
Thank you!
Old as of our last cruise. There are 2 recent Freedom reviews posted, check there.

When I did this cruise in December, we didn't stay docked in any port overnight. The casino was open every night.
Same for us last year, was open shortly after leaving ports.

Really would like to see FCC come back!!
Same here.

Our guide Julius:
We stopped at an old gold mine. Our guide provided us with water and granola bars.
This is actually a gold smelting complex. Gold used to be big business on the island.

i have a question please. On the regular blackjack game is the payoff 6:5 or 3:2? Somewhere i was reading that carnival casino paid $6.00 as a bj win on a $5.00 bet. Thanks in advance for your answers!
3-2.

We were on the repo cruise to Galveston, lots of Texans onboard.DJ's and guitarists played all kinds of music, not just CW.Had a great time.

Carnival assigns your debark zone based on your flight time. They recomend flights no earlier than 1:30, for insurance purposes. We just used them on our last cruise, had a 4:45 flight and our debark zone was 22. We left the Freedom at about 10 AM, through customs by 10:30 and on the bus. Arrived at airport by 11:45. Based on this, in my opinion, you should not have a problem. Also remember that Galveston sometimes has a fog problem that delays docking and disembarkation, the reason we scheduled a later flight.

2:45, I hate waiting at the airport. Carnival will ask the time of your flight ad assign your debark zone based on that time.

Hi dcandme13 :)
For luggage tags I use clear packing tape, without staples.
In regards to an electrical adapter, I use the Belkin 3-Outlet Mini Travel Swivel Charger Surge Protector. (photo below)
Have a terrific voyage!
:)
We do the same. Great for charging Kindle's,camera battery, etc.

Liberty and Freedom are both Conquest class. They are basically the same ship. The only difference is that Freedom has had the most recent 2.0 upgrades and has an actual Red Frog Pub now. Both have Guys, Blue Iguana, Red Frog Rum Bar, Alchemy Bar, etc. Magic is Dream class ship - slightly bigger and newer. It does not have the Red Frog Pub though and I don't believe she has Guys Burgers. If itenries don't matter, I would opt for the Freedom. That is one of our personal favorites.
Agree. Just off the Freedom with the 2.0 upgrades. Great ship and crew.

Never had that problem, and we always have Anytime Dining.
Same for us. Anytime dining since it first became available and no problem getting a drink before-during or after our meal.
-
On our last cruise we werre comped a steakhouse dinner for 2 and a free bottle of wine, up to $30 cost. As we were comped we were not presented a bill. Asked for a slip so we could tip as the food and staff were outstanding.
-
Based on your criteria: Freedom
Agree. Been on the Freedom 3 times now and loved her. Should admit that we have yet to sail the Magic.

Here are two versions of the Gold pin. The one with the year on it is from our last cruise on the Miracle.
On the Freedom this year the pin had a date. Previous 2 years they did not. Anyone know why some have dates, are they trying to get rid of old stock and after they do will all pins have a date?
-
Might have one in the steakhouse but other than that they are long gone
Did not have one in the steakhouse on the Freedom our last cruise.
