We are in the same situation and have the same question. Has anyone tried to purchase liquor on the last night of the first leg since the policy change and taken it back to their cabin?
Anyone?

I have the exact same question since we are on a b2b come January.
We are in the same situation and have the same question. Has anyone tried to purchase liquor on the last night of the first leg since the policy change and taken it back to their cabin?

Congrats, and enjoy yourselves.

Anyone purchase on the last night?Wondering if you were able to take it back to your cabin.

That's how it was for us. I was so excited to see that the first leg was Priority when we didn't actually turn platinum till the 2nd leg. Discovered it when I checked our luggage tags for 1st leg. This was way before final payment date, etc.
Just checked the luggage tags and they do not show "priority"?

Yes, we had our booze delivered at the end of the 2nd cruise.
Back up plan is to order thru room service.More expensive for sure but we like to have cocktails on the balcony most nights.

May work or not because if you're flagged as B2B, they may not let you take it back. I haven't bought liquor on the ship recently so don't know if we'd be able to take it back to cabin on last night.
However, I did buy some alcohol in a port & turned it in to the desk when you enter the ship. Left the note out on bed for the cabin steward & he left me a note that he couldn't get it for me till the end of 2nd cruise.
Our 2015 B2B was on Conquest. When we came back on the ship after going through customs, they had champagne, mimosas, & OJ waiting on the bar for us. Then we sat down (or stood) for 2 photos - one serious & one funny. We received copies of these photos a few days later. Nice touch.
We also received a bottle of champagne & fruit basket for doing B2B.
Thanks, good to know.

I use one of these, Belkin makes them. About $20 on eBay. They have three outlets, two USB power ports, surge protection and a turn-able plug. I also got the idea from one of Zydecocruiser's reviews.
We also use this one. Works great.

Only if they go to the trouble of checking everyones purchase against a list of b2b passengers.
Am hoping they don't bother.

Lucky for you, you are in the same cabin. We had a different cabin so we had to pack up our stuff and the room steward moved it while we were clearing customs again.
I would suggest buying some alcohol the last night of the first leg in the evening then you can take it to your room and have it for the second leg. Also if you are going to half moon cay the second leg you can go down and book a cabana before anyone else :p
It was awesome having an almost empty ship for a couple hours!! hubby and I took advantage of having the serenity hot tub to ourselves :D and no long line at the Mongolian grill!!!
Hope so on the alcohol.

I think a lot of Carnival's passengers share your sentiment, Fred. Serenity is considered an essential by most.
Not really an essential for us but we will miss it. It won't "ruin" our cruise at all but would have been nice to get away from the kids.
-
Just make sure Carnival has your bookings linked. After I booked, I sent an email about it. I technically turn gold on my second leg, but my docs show gold on both
Thanks for the tip. Called Carnival and we are linked.

We will make due but it is strange that they did not get Serenity?

Will you be Platinum for the first leg of your B2B cruises? We only do B2Bs now. Back when you could turn Platinum on your 10th cruise, we did a B2B - #9 & #10. We were pleasantly surprised when I check our cruise docs & discovered they gave us Platinum status for our 9th cruise cuz it was a B2B.
Actually the second leg will make us Platinum but I have seen posts here that in the case of a B2B that others in the same "boat" as us were made ones on the first leg. Any tips for a first time B2B newbie?
-
Just booked Conquest for a B2B and looking at the ship, comparing it to Freedom, I see that they do not show a Serenity area. Is there at least an adults only area?
-
5 months and 26 days till our first B2B on the Conquest.

Just off the Fascination today, and the new policy was in effect. I went by last night to see if I could pick up my liquor and was told no. Pick up as this morning from 0600-0730 outside the jewelry/liquor store. I went at 0600 and there was a slow, long line with only 2 staff members assisting customers. My friend who I went on the cruise with was driving home (I'm flying) otherwise we would not have bought the booze. I like to carefully pack the bottles the night before because I usually fly to port. I feel this is a major inconvenience to the customer and I won't be buying alcohol on a Carnival cruise anymore.
The no bottle policy was also in effect. We brought on cans of soda and red bull. Security made me throw out an empty water bottle in my bag. Lame.
So no more purchase on the last night and take it back to your cabin? We are on our first B2B and was hoping to purchase on the last night of the first leg and drink it on the 2nd leg.

Just booked the Conquest for 1/9/16, an 8 day and 1/17/16, a six day. Same room and will also be turning Platinum. We are so looking forward to this cruise. Have already been to all but 3 of the ports but there is still much to see. Our BF's who have always cruised with us will not be going this time so will be a new experience this time.
-
We'll be doing a B2B on Glory next January.
Someday, I hope to cruise with him.
Just booked our first B2B on the Conquest. 1/9/16 8 day and 1/17/16 6 day. Sure looking forward to it.

Congrats, we love the Freedom.

Hi,
On the Elation we loved being able to tune to the deck cam channel and having the sunrise wake us up in the morning. A few years later when we cruised on the Triumph that channel wasn't available and I sure missed it.
Does anyone know if they have this on the Freedom?
Thank you!!!
They do.
-
I don't believe the outlet "works" unless the light switch is on.
-
Early this year on the Freedom I ordered a bottle, pre cruise, from Bon Voyage and sales tax was added. Once on board I ordered another bottle from room service and there was no sales tax or 15% gratuity added. I did tip the deliverer.
-
I have done it every cruise that I have been on. Put it in my bag and walk off the ship. Never had a problem.
Same for us, no problem at all.
Buying bottles on 1st leg of a B2B???

Was looking for anyone who has purchased liquor on the last day of the first leg, since the policy change, and taken it back to their cabin.
