Got a call from the individual I was working with at Michael Bayleys office apologizing for the back and forth and he found the missing money they they charged me and expedited the refund. He also added obc to my next cruise due to the headaches and told me to contact him directly if I run into any future issues. Loved it. Sounds like my double charges are coming to an end!

Day 3 of not hearing back from the dude at Bayleys office who told me to reach out directly to him. I'm close to saying screw it and just letting Royal keep the extra $200 so I don't have to deal with it. Sucks but less frustration that dealing with them

Sent the guy at Michael Bayleys an email early yesterday morning as he said to reach out to him directly.. We'll see how long it takes for him to respond and how many times I'll have to explain their system charged me twice but the total line didn't reflect only one lol.
This is my email confirmation.. Now try explaining it to someone who's English is poor and won't look at the email

Refunds hit my account this morning, but if course I'm short the amount their system double charged me, so have to reach back out again. Close to just saying forget it and just Royal caribbean keep my extra $200 to just not deal with it anymore

Still waiting

Still waiting on all of mine

This is the response I got from Michael bayleys email lol. Makes zero sense
Thank you for sharing your most recent experience and we regret to have learn about your delay in refund. I can confirm that your refunds are underway. The system has automatically created an overpayment on the booking, that will then automatically process and funds that are not in use.
As this is a active booking, intervening could cause further errors on the booking. Please note, I have requested funds to be expedited, we must still allow 7-10 business days from today for this request to completed. -
Still waiting to hear back on the email I sent. No refunds this morning.

I emailed mbayley#rccl.com yesterday and got a response this am. They found a problem in my refund, fixed it, and should be another 10-14 days! I'll believe it when I see it. Not a huge amount of money but annoying.
I sent an email this morning to here as well. We'll see if I get the same response.

Another day, another no refund(s)

Yeah I'm glad I'm only waiting for like $500 vs thousands. In the past, refunds via the planner were always quicker than manual refunds but guess not anymore

I cancelled and rebooked beverage package on 11/19, still no refund. I'm on hold with them now.
Report back. My guess is they'll tell you allow up to 14 business days.

Today's the 10th business day from 11/18 if you don't count the 18th and Thanksgiving.. Still no refunds lol

12 days... still no refund from excursion canceled on 11/18
Same. Probably not until next week unfortunately. They've conveniently slowed down their refunds it seems.

Finally got into the planner and now I have three pending internet purchases on my credit card but none actually went through on the website. Says to call them. Yeah no thanks.

We used to always buy the drink package until we hit diamond. Since hitting diamond, we haven't. With the package we would average 10ish drinks a day. Port days was more of a challenge. My wife and I are both prime in the casino at this point so between those free drinks when the casino is open and the diamond drinks, we haven't purchased the package. Even without the casino drinks, the four free in Port days made it hard to "break even". After the 4 free, you'd be needing likely 13ish drinks per day to "break even" if buying beer and factoring in the first four were already free, or likely 11 if you get mixed drinks. Sea days? Sure. Port days? Tough.

Aft facing on deck 14 are D4 and are for 2 guests. Who would have thought that the aft balconies which have a larger balcony would be the cheapest balcony category.
That's what I thought. It felt like at minimum they should have been a higher category balcony. From what I could tell in the aft pictures, the center ones appear to be deepest and the corner ones don't look truly corner because it didn't look like the balcony wrapped around unless I was seeing it right.

What category does it say on your confirmation and did you book it for 2 people or more then 2?

Called four different times today. First guy, 5% off, 2nd lady said nothing, not even 5%, 3rd guy was 5% but site was down. 4th lady was $560 off. Booked it. Lol.

I was able to get one of the aft facing balconies for February! From what I can tell, only deck 14 has aft facing, non suite balconies?

Suite category is showing as sold out on every sailing now. Must be a glitch.
Yep and every other category is guarantee as the room type. Was in the middle of booking a cabin and kicked me out and said guarantee only.
To bid or not to bid

Curious for others opinions.. We're on Navigator coming up. We're currently in junior suite 1694, so the huge aft balcony. I understand navigator has the steel structure in the back, but from my understanding, deck 10 is above most.
Royal ups are available, and while I know they're long shots, would you bid?
Grand suite minimum bid is $100 pp minimum
Owner suite is $190 pp minimum
Royal suite is $375 pp minimum.
Yes, they're all within budget, but are any worth giving up the big aft balcony and already in a junior suite? I'm thinking no to the grand suite, but the owner & royal are intriguing although the "suite experience" isn't as special as the newer ships.
