We were just on Apex a few weeks back and loved it. Totally agree that they need to do a better job cleaning widows! Otherwise, we loved it all. Even the Infinite Verandah so many love to hate!

What are the cabanas on Apex about and are they worth it? We are going with relatives and I am thinking it could be a fun/unique way to spend the day playing board games. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

We booked an infinite veranda cabin. We live in Fort Lauderdale about 20 minutes from the port, and wouldn't mind staying on the ship, but this goes to a few I haven't been to before. I've never been to Grand Cayman or Belize, so looking forward to them. We also stop at Key West and Cozumel. Usually, in Cozumel we grab the ferry to Playa del Carmen and head toward Tulum or Chichen itza, but look forward to hanging out in Cozumel this time. In Key West, we may stay on the ship or go visit the butterfly garden. We've been there so many times living in Florida. We're super excited about our first Celebrity cruise. The ship itself is the destination.

Wow, I have never posted on this board. We have cruised a number of times, almost exclusively with Royal Caribbean. We just booked a cruise on Apex, and we are so excited! We are obsessive planners, so when the time comes we only need to show up and enjoy. Any pointers, tips, suggestions are most welcome. Thanks in advance!

We don't expect there to be no kids. Kids are not the problem. Bad parenting and lack of control/respect is the problem. -

No, I started another thread that was merged with this one. That person, myself, and others were on the sailing. We owe you no evidence. -

And while that may be true, on THIS sailing the damage being discussed was caused by teens. -

They play commercials on in-house television to wash your hands. They should include one about manners and being kind to property and other people. Or maybe greet guests with, "Hi, hope your day is going well. Let's practice kindness". -

The passengers are becoming less able to conduct themselves like people in public. The ship was just the unfortunate recipient. -

It's not just you. I do not understand why parents let their kids touch everything; often aggressively. One lady once saw my dismay and quipped, "high fructose corn syrup". I responded, "Is that what we're calling bad parenting these days?" We laughed. Then I saw the parent looking at us seething. I smirked. -

Last night I heard kids running our hall singing loudly at 12:30/1am. While mildly annoying, I get it. But the disrespect of the ship and others is crazy. I saw a child climb artwork with her parents looking on! -

We were not in the theater to see the group run through screaming and shoving people, but we did see the damage to the elevator and all the damaged artwork. It's not surprising to me that some rush to discredit what happened. I'm sure the parents of these kids do this to defend their parenting and justify the blinders they wear. -

It was NOT made up. The damage to the elevators and artwork was clear to see. Were YOU on this sailing? -
Teenagers causing damage to ship this week

It was the talk among passengers. Several teens caused real damages to elevators. Others climbed artwork and damaged them. It was far more than running, loudness, and just being kids. -

We just came off Odyssey of the Seas. The cruise was wonderful. The service, amenities, crew were fantastic. But what was NOT fantastic was the number of teens left to wander in groups and act like complete idiots by their parents. Some kids vandalized the ship and they and their families were thrown off and will be billed for damages, but many more were not much better. We saw it all and this is simply unacceptable. The ships are not a playground nor a babysitter for horrible families that lack basic social skills and responsibility. Sure, we encountered some great kids as well; mostly younger kids. -
Hi and thanks in advance! For our upcoming cruise, North Star and I-Fly are sold out. Do they limit reservations online and have more to book on the ship? Or is it really "Sold Out"? Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. We want to leave the suits at home.

Hi and thanks in advance. Are formal nights adhered to, or can you basically wear what you want? And what is the standard for dinner in the dining room? We are shorts/t-shirts people, but can do khaki/polos if forced.
