Am I reading this right? Leaving on the Gem in August. Looking forward to not having to find a testing facility as we are spending a few days in London and Dublin precruise.

I highly recommend Orvieto as well. It is amazing. We rented from Hertz. It was reasonable and rental went fine. Office was pretty easy to find (our trip was August 2019, so do a bit of research)

Any updates on what is currently happening on the Gem? Shockingly, when I called NCL about another matter, they had no knowledge about any snafus with the bar closings on any of the ships.🤔

Put me in the "you never know who will test negative" camp. My husband had a mild case and since we had been in the car together, eaten after each other, etc. I decided it would be silly to quarantine after the fact. I never got it. ( I tested every other day for weeks). So thinking positive is a good thing! Good luck

Have you checked the Alaska ports of call boards for possible independent tours? We LOVED Alaska and only took 1 ships tour and did everything else independently including wandering around beautiful Ketchikan which was absolutely amazing. We also did the lumberjack show there which was kind of cheesy but still a fun way to spend an hour or so. Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau is also a can't miss in my opinion and should be easily accessible without ship tour. Hoping everything works out for you.
