  1. We have used them a few times on Horizon and other ships and love them. They're easy enough to use, and they have a little TV above explaining how to use them. I do get a chuckle when someone just "hops on" and then realizes (too late) the elevator doesn't have buttons inside and won't be stopping on their desired floor!
  2. Funfetti cake! THAT'S what I forgot on my last embarkation day!!!
  3. We have done Rudi's 3 times on MG. First time was meh, and I wasn't sure about returning, but decided to give it a second shot on a different sailing....and it was delish! So much so that we booked another night there on that same sailing. I would go again in the future!
  4. I love Woodford, I hate to admit my uncle and I have a shot or 2 of it every evening. I may be the crazy one here, but I was not a fan of Blanton's at all when I tried it last week. I tried it neat, over ice, and in an Old Fashion. I will stick with my Woodford, Eagle Rare, Angel's, or even Buffalo Trace.
  5. I did the same last week with Mom, and you know what? You dont even need a pen to sign, your fingernail can be one! A few bartenders got a good kick out of that!
  6. Yes, you do still have to sign a $0 receipt for your drink.....so annoying. However, every bar we went to would allow mom to take my card with her, or vice versa, and order me (or her) a drink as well. We would just wave from the table at the bartender and they would make both. :)
  7. We petsit occasionally for a border collie, who Divya adores. They are both high energy and love to help with farm chores!
  8. 😂 I wanted to…but I was trying really hard to be nice. Aussie 🙂
  9. Both the steakhouse and the Alchemy bar on Vista had it last week. I had 3 shots, and they were $18 each I believe.
  10. You should try it! A Havana interior is “even ok” as my mom puts it, because you have that big, huge, wonderful back deck area. That’s what I’m saying! I have met a few ladies named Precious, it’s just the irony of this one that’s got me shocked.
  11. How was the pizza? lol B had a MAJOR craving on the way home 😂 Her trainer is ticked off already. Bahaha. Wonder where Keshore has been moved to? He was awesome. I’m currently missing him and my “Cuban iced teas with Diet Pepsi please!” His personality and attentiveness to his guests was top notch! Precious?? Is that really her name? No joke, all week long we looked for her name with no luck. It was always not on/covered up by apron. I loooove the deli but she was a real dealbreaker at times.
  12. Oh laws! It did get to the point he would see me walk up and just make my drink. 😂 Your reviews are much appreciated!!
  13. So jealous of your view, and being so close to a home port!!
  14. Debarkation today was a breeze!! We were to meet in the Reflection MDR deck 3 fwd at 7:00, and by the time we got there at 7, it was empty. The ship apparently got clearance early! No line, we literally walked off and never quit moving until we reached the parking garage. Whoo hoo!
  15. Jeff, Patti, @Knights on the Beach, everyone else embarking Vista today….HAVE FUN!!! She’s a great ship with a (mostly) great crew!
  16. lol!! It was delicious. I truly love the deli on the Carnival ships…it’s my go to lunch spot (as yall saw this week) and if we don’t do MDR dinner 9 times outta 10 I’ll hit it up for that too! It’s quick (usually) with enough variety I don’t get bored. This week it was mostly delicious…I discovered a new favorite, the chicken salad, along with the veggie burger too. I love the deli!
  17. Tonight consisted of bar hopping, to be totally honest. We went from the atrium, to Alchemy (Goran made a 40 is the new 20, raspberry something, proper absinthe, and an old fashion) to the Ocean Plaza (Setyo made one last espressotini, so good!) to Havana (I HAD to say bye to Kishore). Now we are packed up an enjoying some treats from Guest Services due to a squeaky balcony divider we called about earlier this week. All in all…Vista has redeemed herself as my #1 favorite ship. I’ve had some great experiences with some of the crew, and I love the Havana area….it can’t be beat! The itinerary this week was great, and I love cruises from PC. June can’t come soon enough for Chris’s bday getaway!
  18. Final dinner onboard: steak & cheese (yummmm) and salad. The Asian salad on the salad bar was 👍🏻👍🏻! And the grouchy deli lady is MIA…
  19. I love the Excel class, but I truly think Vista class in the Havana area is my favorite.
  20. So I will say….dinner tonight is going to be the deli, and I’m going to try and see if the mood/attitude is better. I don’t make any special requests (other than no fries), so I’m not sure why I’ve had the experience I’ve had. But anyway…moving on… We got up about 930 today and hit up Blue Iguana for breakfast. Y’all..,I had the best idea…BREAKFAST TACOS!!! Get the huervos rancheros, no eggs, and take them to the toppings bar. It’s like chicken tacos for breakfast! Ahhhh! I was in heaven. New favorite breakfast onboard. After breakfast, we, uhhh…what did we do? Packed. I know we did that. We also walked the shops again. Around 1:30 we hit up Pig & Anchor for lunch, which was good.
  21. Random thing I wanted to mention about our stateroom #5227: The a/c works AWESOME!!! As mom put it…B and I want to sleep in a meat locker. It’s the BEST I’ve had in several cruises. Even during the day it’s super cool. LOVE ❤️ IT!
