There will be a sticker on your room card indicating you have the package. Just order from the beverage server. You won’t be charged and you do not need the cup.

For us the Koningsdam would be first with the Nieuw Amsterdam a close second.

There are no free refills. You pay for each glass of soda in the dining room. You can bring as much soda or bottled water on board that you can carry on yourself for use in your cabin.
I don’t think you can bring it into the dining room. Free water in the dining room is not in bottles. There is a fee for bottled water.
Coffee can be ordered for free for room service. Coffee and tea are available free in the Lido 24 hours a day and are served at meal times in the dining room.

We did the med on the Koningsdam last September. We are Canadian and there were a lot of Canadians, Americans and Australian as well as many Europeans. Thee was a wide range of age groups as well. We travelled with our 30 year old daughter and she never felt like she was surrounded by seniors. And she should know, she is a nurse in Long Term Care.

I am too busy having a good time, to worry about such things.

I’m with you!

You should be okay. Call on Monday.

Wasaga Beach? I love Wasaga Beach!
You will need your passport and boarding pass. Also any visas for the countries you may be visiting that require them.

Thanks for that. We love the Koningsdam. Our favourite spots were the Grand Dutch Cafe and the upper pool deck.

We were on the Nieuw Amsterdam last week and the lunch at the Pinnacle was 10.00 both days we had it there.

The European price for laundry was $9.00 per day in the fall of 2017.

Were you in a suite

No, in a veranda.

We just came off the NA and did not have a night light. But, we did find 2 USB outlets on the last full day at the desk, behind the booklets. I took them out of the holder to get some of our paperwork out and found the USB outlets hidden there.

Thanks all! Can’t wait to get out of this Canadian winter!

No library needed for me. I travel with a few hundred, mostly free or library borrowed ebooks. I have a good case on my Kobo and have dropped it without incident dozens of times.

I get an email confirmation while still on the phone with my PCC as well.

We had a guarantee where we were assigned an accessible room. Shower only, no tub. It did not matter to us but it would for you.

I believe flowers (and food) can go on but cannot be taken off.

We loved it! Plus at the New York Pizza you could get pizza and late night movie snacks. And there was popcorn!

The family cabanas are only on the upper deck overlooking the pool.

I have been on both NCL and HAL and much prefer HAL. The cruise I took on NCL was a party, party, party. Lots of young people over drinking the first 2 days (there was a free drinks promo) then we hit rough seas and had hung over, vomiting young people. Overall I had a good cruise with lots to do but it was not the atmosphere I was looking for on a cruise.
There were no dance lessons on any cruise I have taken in the last 5 years. I think those are still on Cunard and Princess but I may be mistaken. On HAL I have seen card games being offered in the daily activities.
We don’t cruise for the wave pools, water slides and go carts but have never been bored on any cruise. We usually enjoy most music, game shows, movies and shows offered on a cruise.

I drink Diet Coke as well and usually buy the 25.00 card, as it gets you 50.00 worth of fountain drinks. It usually lasts me the week and whatever is left is credited back to my onboard account on the last night.

Interesting! In May, on Koningsdam, we traveled from Rome to Amsterdam doing 2 UK ports and we were not required to surrender our passports at any time. I wonder why you had to do so.
I’m not sure why. It was the UK authorities that boarded with us in Amsterdam and they took everyone’s passports while we were travelling to Dorset. IIRC they were probably returned after we left Gibraltar. We were given a receipt when we gave them over and had to present it to get them back.

We travelled on HAL from Amsterdam to Rome. We had to surrender our passports before reaching the UK and they were returned to us before we reached Barcelona. So we did not need them for the ports in between. The ship usually announces before hand what you will need to take with you at the ports.
Drink package for kids.
