  1. Hi Roy, when I went to Iguazu Falls on the Grand SA, I did exactly what everyone has stated above. My TA submitted the deviation request letter for me. HAL sent back a deviation approval letter which my TA sent to me. I made several copies and when I got on board I went to Guest Services and gafe them a copy of the letter. They also asked for my flight and hotel information and a contact phone number. I picked up my passport from them the day before I left the ship and had to turn it back in when I returned. It is a relatively simple process. Patty
  2. I did this as an independent excursion while on the South America Grand Voyage this year. I left from Buenos Aires to the Argentina side. Visited both sides plus the Bird Park and then flew back to reboard the ship in Santos. Flights, hotel for three nights, and all transfers came to just under half of what HAL was charging for a single. It is definitely doable on your own and I would highly recommend it.
  3. You are way ahead of me on the packing Roy. At least the suitcases are out amid the piles of stuff to go in them! I’m so excited about this cruise, can’t wait!
  4. Have a great cruise! See you in three months for another adventure!
