That's a great looking menu. I can see Bob and I will be spending a few nights eating dinner on the Patio. Can't wait.
BTW, I ordered a pillow today. ;)

Andy, do the Club Continent Suites have throw pillows? I would like to not have to bring one for the dining chairs. ;)

And my brand is Thermarest, I don't know if they still make it or not.
I just looked it up on Amazon and they have all three sizes in a variety of colors. I just might get one before our Quest cruise in August. ;) Thanks Pam.

Good stuff Andy.
Just on the subject of the chairs in Discoveries, I have spent many nights sitting in them on Celebrity's S-Class ships and when it was mentioned here that they were the same as the new ones on Azamara I certainly didn't think "oh no, not those awful chairs". No bad memories for me and they were fine.
Phil
Phil, these chairs sit differently for a short person like me. For one thing, they're too deep and I definitely need a pillow behind my back. I may just have to bring one from the cabin at meals (if the cabins have throw pillows).

I hope you have a blast on White Night Andy.....it's my favourite night on the ship. So wish I was there, dancing my feet off and eating those crepes! :)
It's also my favorite night. Andy, I know you're going to have a blast. All of us sitting here at home on our computers are wishing we were there with you. Your updates are making us feel a little bit closer and I, for one, can't wait until it's my turn to once again sail on the beautiful Azamara ships.

Was storage space ok in CS?
Both have walk-in closets and plenty of storage.

FWIW, I joined Photobucket, solely for the purpose of taking & posting photos on here. I also purchased a New tablet (with camera), which should help facilitate posting photos on this thread. Keeping fingers crossed, that I will learn how to do the photo work on the fly, and all will go as planned !
Let's not forget, Andy may be going through a learning curve. I'm hoping he's just having too much fun and not enough time to post. I'm sure when he gets back home, we'll see plenty of pictures. ;)

Thank You very much Garry. I'm hearing the weather will be pretty crummy in Miami tomorrow, so I hope we can get that out of the way quickly. On the bright side, the Florida weather isn't as nearly as bad as what our dear friends in the Northeast just experienced.
You're right, Andy. We live in the North Carolina mountains and had over 15" and are just beginning to dig out. Your cruise looks mighty good to me right now. :D

Andy, Bon Voyage! Have a wonderful time. I wish for you blue skies, calm winds, good food, lots of rest, and wonderful cruising companions. :D

Hey Frank. How are you and Sharon doing? :D :D :D

Andy, I agree with Phil. Please just enjoy your vacation. The amount of time you're spending to keep us updated with the renovations is above and beyond. We all thank you very much. I'm betting there will be lots of pictures posted from other cruisers on the first few cruises.
We all feel very lucky to have you on our Azamara board. ;)

Wow! Great pictures. It's going to be fun watching the transformation. Captain Johannes, thank you and Andy, thank you for posting all of these!

Andy, thanks for posting this thread. It'll probably be the first on I check each morning (and probably at night). ;)

We just booked the Infinity for a 7 day RT cruise from/to Los Angeles followed by a cruise from LA through the Panama Canal to Ft. Lauderdale on
the Infinity. The agent said we were the first to book. :D
Matt (HickoryShampoo), the books are open! Come and join us.

Bonnie, thank you, thank you. It's a beautiful book and I appreciate you posting it for those of us that didn't get one.

Sigh, we get nothing--no emails, no cruise brochures, no advertisements. The only way we find out about what's going on with Azamara is to come to this site. Thank goodness for that!

Welcome home, Phil. I really enjoyed reading your review and am so glad you had such a good time.

Andy, we'll help you count down the days. We don't have another Azamara cruise until next August so will have to just enjoy it through you. ;)

I have a question: How much white do I really need for the White Night party? I wish it were called the Black and White Night party, and then my whole wardrobe would suffice. Just white? Notsomuch.
My DH usually wears khaki pants and a white shirt. You'll see all kinds of combinations, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just go and have a good time. The White Night Party is one of the special events and Bob and I really look forward to. It's a lot of fun.

Out of curiosity and to know if I'll need to carry a self-standing mirror across the ocean:rolleyes:, do we have any info on whether there will be a mirror at the vanity in the bed area of the Club ContinentSuite? I assume it was just left off in the rendering, but there isn't one in any rendering that I've seen, although it does show in the balcony renderings. It is well used in our cabins:)(hairdrying, etc) Thanx.
There is one in the bathroom so I'm assuming they wouldn't put a second one in the bedroom.

I really am disappointed to see they still have those chairs in the Club Continent Suites. The large chair looks very uncomfortable, especially for a short person and the other occasional chair? Well, I can't see sitting in that for a long period of time while reading a good book. It was so nice to have a footstool and the nice cozy chair, plus a nice couch to lounge on.

Thank you for your Oceania review. Bob and I leave for Montreal on Thursday for our 1st cruise on Oceania. We'll be on the Insignia which is a "R" ship so enjoyed reading the comparison to Azamara.

Something I never understand.....why have only 1 comfy chair in a hotel room or ship cabin when there it's a double? I always get the short straw!!!!
Joyce
And no more footstool. I really liked having that since I have had an ankle replacement and need to elevate it at times during the day.

We just got off of the Infinity and the ARE serving 3 meals a day except on sea days. They have a brunch on sea days. I don't know how much longer they will be serving lunch. We ate there a couple of times and there were only 2 or three other couples in there--a waste of personal, time and food.

Phil, those pictures are spectacular! I'm really excited about sailing so far north in Norway in August. We're on the same cruise as Host Jazzbeau. I'll make sure I have extra charged camera batteries and my iPhone ready. :D
