  1. Wait...I seem to remember something about a dance pole on Monarch/MJ?
  2. RCI docks at both T#6....a reconverted (and too small IMHO) old freight terminal, and also at T#3. Pax will need to find out which one their ship is docking at. The parking for T#6 is an open parking lot in front of the ship. T#3 has the garage available...across the parking lot, across the rail tracks, and across the busy street. RCI uses T#6 the most, I know Serenade docks there. Brilliance is usually at T#3. I like parking in a garage...but the open parking lot right in front of the ship for T#6 is very convenient. We use that when ship is at #6.
  3. Cleaning at 3-5 am just above you...scrape...clunk...scrape go the chairs. Party types hanging over the rail right above you with "outside" voices (directly above is outside section WJ).
  4. No body guessed this one yet? Favorite corner aft JS cabin on this class of ship...killer balcony!
  5. One of the Radiance sisters...aft JS cabin on deck 10 with the "dance pole"?
  6. Indeed. Just like the location of all the GS cabins are now on 17, all the OS cabins are on 18. A true "Suites Neighborhood" set up. Very convenient. The new suites sun deck looks fabulous...beautiful bar up there as well.
  7. LOL...oh those days before bicycle helmets and helicopter parents. My Dad used to tie two ropes on his truck hitch, and pull my sister and I around the back roads in the snow on our aluminum flying saucers. 😄 We loved it!! Lots of clean up going on in our community. Unbelievable amount of branches and palm fronds...some small trees...but happily nothing of real damage. Feel so awful about all our friends on the southwest coast of Florida. Was worse than Charley I think.
  8. Nice! Just not convenient for us to book those ships yet....though would like to. 🙂
  9. The wrap around winds as Ian's eye was passing over us and then out to sea were actually worse than the winds last night. Got a little wicked for a couple of hours. Not much extra rain...but wow...those gusts were crazy. And I had just picked up all the branches this morning when it was calm. Drats....time to pick up even more now. 😮 My poor beautiful Maple tree is looking very ragged. 😞
  10. I think we are going to start switching to river cruises more and more in the future. Always something interesting to see as you slide along the banks. 😄
  11. Yup. 😉 But the champagne (cheap bubbly) went to our head waiter. 😄
  12. Too much of a nightmare would be created for the already overworked LA (which is tough to be the only one on each ship) to have to redo everyone's level. Everyone turns the next level on a cruise. I never had a problem waiting for official next level......which made that next cruise that much sweeter as I always say. 🙂 Points on a flight are not awarded until after the flight is completed either. 😉
  13. American cruise lines is on our radar as well. I think we will do the Columbia river on that one. Have Viking booked (and prepaid as they demand) for 3 week European river cruise Sept. next year, and have just booked two weeks on Pearl Seas for St. Lawrence Seaway cruise...but intend on cancelling it when Viking releases their 2024 cruising on that route.
  14. You are not officially the next level until the completion of that cruise...no matter if you are one or 30 points away. Once cruise is over, you will see your new level about 5-8 days later.
  15. Actually I did not know that about Seaplex. Odyssey is the first and only Quantum class ship (I guess technically Ultra Quantum class) we have been on. Was not sure we would like the layout, but ended up loving our B2B on the beautiful ship. 🙂
  16. That was actually the reason we became more loyal to Royal...since the loyalty program was better than other lines...IMHO. But that said, I have other cruise lines booked over the next few years. Royal does not do river cruises. 😉
  17. We had a chance to sneak one in last week. Did not think we had the time, but current renovation at home was at a lull. Was good to say one final goodbye to ship and crew. 🙂
  18. 2005 on RCI...much earlier on other lines. Usually one or two cruises a year...then ramped up when we retired 14 years ago. Covid shut us down one cruise away from Pinnie for two years. 😞
  19. Havensight is more "cruise ship touristy"...while Charlotte Amalie is a working town.
  20. Oops...sorry. Was just having too much fun, and fond memories. 😉
  21. Yup, Harmony...end of May anniversary B2B cruise. 🙂 I think you were on that one. 😉
