At 10 pm I decide to head over to the comedy club for the 10:30 show. The Punchliner Comedy Club is in the Firebird Lounge on Deck 1, all the way forward. There are three comedians on this cruise, Randy Kagan, Matt Sadler, and the comedian I’m watching tonight, Kier. I suggest getting here a half hour before showtime if you want to get a decent seat. I sat at the bar in back, and had a great sightline to the stage…… This is the Comedy Host Kate…… Kier on stage….. He was pretty good. I would give him a 7.5 out of 10. Afterwards, it was back to the cabin for the night. Here is tonight’s towel animal and our invites to the Diamond Event tomorrow……. Coming up next: Another relaxing sea day!

Patti starts with the spaghetti carbonara as an appetizer, and a Caesar salad….. I start with the pork tarts and a shrimp cocktail. Look at the portion size on both of mine. Not complaining, just pointing it out….. We both had the lobster for our mains…… For dessert Patti had the Crème Brulee, and I had the coffee cream cake….. The food tonight was just fine, but the service was really slow. We didn’t leave the dining room until 8:30. Tonight, the Playlist Production show was “Motor City”, and Jim was holding court over at the Piano Bar. We decided to watch a set of the Electric Violins with In Trio at the Lobby Bar….. Afterwards, Patti went back to the cabin to read, while I went to the Casino Bar to have a couple with Angela. Here she is…… She took a picture of me….. To be continued……

Patti heads off to claim her $25 cash from the casino, and then check put the shops. She gets these pictures of the Senior Staff aboard the Carnival Legend….. Keeping the ATM full….. I have a couple more drinks with Ramil at the Lobby Bar, and then head over to the casino to play blackjack for a couple of hours. This time I won a little bit, so I’m back up to even. I went over to the casino bar to say hello to Angela, and we got to talk for a little bit. By now it was after 1 pm, so I went back to the cabin to find Patti. We went up to the Lido for lunch. I love Chopsticks, so I got my lunch from there, while Patti made herself a salad. Afterwards, we went back to the cabin to relax on our balcony, and nap until it was time for dinner. Tonight, is Cruise Elegant Night so we decide to go to Truffle’s Restaurant for lobster dinner. We checked in on the Hub App at 6:10, and again it said a less than 10 minute wait. 50 minutes later, we were seated by the window at table # 304….. Here are tonight’s menus….. Looking outside we can see it is raining….. To be continued……

Afterwards, we decided to head over to the Lobby Bar for a drink. Patti got a few pictures of Bonsai Sushi on the way. We will be eating there later in the cruise….. I recognize the bartender at the Lobby Bar from our cruise on the Panorama. He was working at the Tides Bar there. His name is Ramil….. Ramil tells me that there are a couple other bartenders from our Panorama cruise working here on the Legend. Omer, who worked at Pig & Anchor on the Panorama, is working at the Alchemy Bar. Angela, who we knew well because she worked the Havana Bar on the Panorama, is working at the Casino Bar. We can’t wait to say hello to them. These are the beers on tap at the Lobby Bar. I’m not a fan of the Birthday Beer….. Patti has her usual Mocha Chocolate Getaway….. I’m going with an Angry Orchard with a shot of Fireball….. Here are the Lobby Bar menus….. To be continued…..

Day # 2 – 8/29/22 - Sea Day # 1. We were up at 6:30 am to a beautiful day and sunrise….. These are the views forward and aft, as the Carnival Legend heads towards Bermuda….. The seas are very calm….. Here are today’s “Fun Times”…… We really don’t have any set plans for today, except to relax. That’s the best thing about doing back to back cruises. You don’t feel like you have to be doing something every minute of the day. Around 8:30 we decide to go to the Sea Day Brunch. We check in on the app, and it’s less than a 10 minute wait. It didn’t even take that long, and soon we were seated at table # 146….. The first order of business was to get our free brunch drinks….. Patti had a tomato and cheddar omelet with fries and turkey bacon….. I had the 12 hour French toast with sausage and hash browns…. To be continued…..

We were charged for 7 days. They gave no receipt or anything to put on your dashboard to prove that you paid, so there was no way they could check to see how long your car was there. There's no check on the way out either. Now, that was back in April. YMMV.😎

At this point Patti said she was tired and would be heading back to the cabin to read. But first she checked out the Enchanted Forest all the way forward on Deck 3…. I went to the casino and played blackjack for a couple of hours, and even though I lost a little bit, I had a great time. My fellow players, the pit bosses, and the dealers were a lot of fun. On the way out I picked up my $25 in free play, which they gave to me in cash. Sweet! I then went to the Sports Bar for a couple of double rum and colas before calling it a night. It was great to be out to sea again! Coming up next: a fun day at sea!

After we finished eating, we watched the sunset as we sailed under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge…. To be continued…..

We decided to just have a bite to eat on the Lido. Patti had a salad and I grabbed a pepperoni pizza as there was no line at all. Here is some of what is available. Here is the Bistro Menu….. The Pizza Pirate….. The Salad Bar….. The Seafood Corner….. To be continued…..

We are sailing away from Baltimore…… That’s part of Fort McHenry on the left. We got a lot better pictures on the next cruise….. We are leaving Baltimore behind…… Looking up at the water slides..... We sail under the Key Bridge…… To be continued……

Patti heads down those stairs to Deck 2, forward…… Another look at the Legend’s Café…… This is the Fun Finds Shopping Desk….. The Internet Café….. Patti comes back to the cabin and we hang out until it’s almost time for sail away. We decide that we’ll watch the sail away from Serenity, all the way aft on Deck 9. We’ll be heading out that way……. So, I go to Serenity Bar to get us some drinks, but my card isn’t working. I had been using my boarding pass most of the afternoon, and this was the first time I used my card. A quick trip down to Guest Services and the problem was solved. It was some type of glitch which they were able to fix quickly. I made it back to Serenity before we sailed at 5:15 pm….. 1. Yes, the 4K interiors have a mini fridge. 2. As far as I know, you can get free play if you book with a casino rate that includes it. As of now, diamonds and platinums get $25 in free play instead of the BOGO slot or blackjack tournament entries until they begin having them again. I would rather get the free play myself. On some ships they just give you the cash. The Legend is one of them. Glad to have you along for the ride again.

We'll always leave a note if the cabin is not yet done when we drop off, for the very reason you outlined. I'm back at it now, glad to have you aboard!

Right next to Billie’s Piano Bar is the Warehouse Arcade. This is where the Chapel and the Library used to be….. Right outside the Warehouse Arcade are the stairs between Decks 2 & 3…… To be continued…..

After the shops on Rodeo Drive, Patti comes to Hollywood Boulevard….. Here are the Carnival Legend’s trophy cases….. Billie’s Piano Bar is located on Deck 3 mid ship, on the port side. Jim is the Piano Bar Player on this cruise.….. To be continued……

Patti continues to head forward on Deck 3 until she reaches the Pixels Gallery mid ship. If you are diamond or platinum, this is where you come to pick up your gifts….. Carnival’s 50th Birthday banner hangs in the Colossus Atrium…. Continuing forward on Deck 3, Patti comes to Rodeo Drive where the Fun Shops are located. Patti will have to wait until tomorrow to check them out….. To be continued…..
