  3. Aw gee, I was looking forward to seeing Aris on the Freedom in January.
  4. Thanks for following along! To tell you the truth, I didn't notice any Happy Hour pricing, probably because we just normally head up to the Red Frog Rum Bar on embarkation day. Doesn't mean there wasn't, just that we didn't notice it. Enjoy your cruise on the Legend!
  5. You know that we'll be following along! Have a great cruise and be sure to say hello to "Patch" for us! 😁
  6. We had no issues at all when we were on her in April, and the ship was full.

  10. We continue to sail past some of Boston’s Harbor Islands….. Looks like one of these guys has a fish on! Jets are landing at Boston’s Logan International Airport, which is on the other side of the ship….. We are now sailing by Fort Independence. Here is a little history: Fort Independence is a granite bastion fort that provided harbor defenses for Boston, Massachusetts. Located on Castle Island, Fort Independence is one of the oldest continuously fortified sites of English origin in the United States. The first primitive fortification, called "The Castle", was placed on the site in 1634 and, after two re-buildings, replaced circa 1692 with a more substantial structure known as Castle William.Re-built after it was abandoned by the British during the American Revolution, Castle William was renamed Fort Adams and then Fort Independence. The existing granite fort was constructed between 1833 and 1851. Today it is preserved as a state park and fires occasional ceremonial salutes. Fort Independence was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. Source = Wikipedia. To be continued…..
  11. Day # 9 - 9/5/22 - Boston, Ma. (9 am - 6 pm). We were up at 7 am to a mostly cloudy day as we approached Boston. The temperatures are supposed to be in the mid 80’s, but we will be having rain showers throughout the day. Here is the view from our balcony, as we sail into Boston Harbor….. 12. Thanks Barb! Today is all about the beer, Giants, and Yankees. I'll be back at it again tomorrow! 😎
  13. Finally, we get to see Captain Mark in person! He says a few words, raises a toast, and then he is gone….. Afterwards, Patti is going to walk around and then head back to the cabin. She passes the Piano Bar where Jim is holding court….. I head down to Punchliners for tonight’s “R” rated show starring Kier. I didn’t have the camera, so no pictures tonight. Kier was very good tonight. I gave him a 9 out of 10. After the show I went to the Casino Bar and had a few drinks with Angela before calling it a night. Here is tonight’s towel animal….. Coming up next: We’re back in Boston!
  14. Once again, service in the Dining Room on Elegant Night was slow, as it took nearly two hours. Afterwards, we stepped outside to enjoy this beautiful sunset….. Tonight, for the first time since last January, the Captain would be out in public to give his Welcome Toast in the Atrium Lobby. Patti and I made our way there, and even got seats at the bar. The first thing that I noticed was that there was a new string trio on board this week. They are the Amber Strings Trio….. I order my usual double Bacardi and cola, but Patti is going to try a hard seltzer….. Cruise Director Gabe begins by introducing some of the Senior Officers….. To be continued…..
  15. Afterwards, we both went down to the casino to get our $25 cash. Patti didn’t feel like gambling, so she took off to walk around the ship. I sat down at a $6 blackjack table, and after about a half an hour, I was just staying even. I noticed that they had opened a $25 table, and there were a couple of guys playing there, so I went over and joined them. Boy, I was so glad that I did. After about an hour I was up a lot, so much so, that I knew I would be going home way ahead, even after using some to pay down our Sail & Sign balance. Back at the cabin I told Patti of my good fortune, and we began getting ready for tonight’s Elegant Night dinner. I checked in on the Hub App at 5:27 pm, and ten minutes later we were being seated at Table # 354….. Here is the Elegant Night Menu….. Here is our view from upstairs….. Here are Patti & I…… For her starters, Patti had the spaghetti carbonara and a Caesar salad…. For my starters, I had the pork tarts and a shrimp cocktail. I see I’m back to three shrimp again! We both had the lobster for our mains….. I also had the grilled salmon….. For our desserts, Patti had two scoops of butter pecan ice cream, and I had the coffee crème cake….. To be continued…..
  16. Hotel Director Paul Heslop welcomed everyone, and then said a few words. Some of the Senior Staff circulated around the tables and said hello. Then it was time to eat. Patti started with the lobster bisque…… I started with the slow braised pork belly….. For our mains, Patti had the Japanese sea bass, and I had the charred New York steak….. For dessert, Patti had Tres Leches…… For dessert, I had the hazelnut and malted chocolate….. The luncheon was over in a little over an hour. Here is our picture which they gave to us for free….. To be continued…..
  17. I went up to the Red Frog Rum Bar to see Argee, and have a few beers. I met Patti back at the cabin, and then we went up to the Diamond Luncheon, which was being held in the Nouveau Steakhouse. We were seated on the upper level…… Here is our table, and the menu for the Diamond Luncheon….. Here are our first drinks. Patti was drinking a Malibu Bay Breeze, and I was drinking Bacardi and cola. The drinks kept coming! Here is our view from upstairs….. Here are our bread plates….. To be continued…..
  18. Day # 8 - 9/4/22 - Fun Day at Sea # 4. We were up at 7 am to a beautiful sunny 72 degree day. Here are our views from our balcony looking forward and aft, as the Carnival Legend heads north up to Boston….. The seas are perfectly calm today….. Since we are going to the Diamond Luncheon at noon today, we decide to skip breakfast. I need my coffee, so I head down to the Legend’s Café to get one, and to pick up today’s “Fun Times”….. Back at the cabin, I start working on the pictures again. Around 9 am, Patti went to check out the shopping “specials”, and then went to the Fun Aboard, Fun Ashore talk in the Follies Theater….. To be continued…..
  19. Yes Sharon, B2B cruises are awesome! The best is the last night of the first cruise. Most of your fellow cruisers are winding down, packing, and doing as much as they can, while you can just chill and relax. We can't just do 7 days anymore. We have three B2B's, and one S2S booked as of now. Glad that you continue to follow along, and thanks for your kind words. Much more to come!
  20. Patti thanks you! It is not a dress, just a top, but it was from Land's' End, so you nailed it! As for our smiles...... we're on a cruise, how can you not smile?
