  1. We knew that this was going to end sometime, but I thought it would be when they reinstated the blackjack and slot tournaments. But now that just about every cruise is an Elite or Ultra casino cruise, there is no way they are going to give up blackjack tables or slot machines to hold those tournaments. So now it's over, but we're not going to complain. In 16 cruises post Covid we have been given $800 in free play or cash, some of it resulting in even more free money. It was fun while it lasted. 😎

Right now, not until December. Sadly, I think I am going to have to cancel it. I am hoping to book something for August, worst case scenario I will be on a ship somewhere for my birthday in October.

I also get last minute offers from Carnival casino (like 48 hours notice last minute) but every time I click them they have already sold out 🤣.

I'll be sure to post a link in my last review when the fates do line up on my side 😀.

Wow, that's a long break for you! Hope something comes along your way! 😎

Was watching a video on YouTube just now. Spotted an extra that I recognized at the Havana Bar! I had to rewind and watch it again and sure enough! At the 14:10 mark we have our very own CC royalty making a guest appearance (uncredited) on the YouTube!!

Thanks for posting this. It's just a fleeting glance so I get no royalties! I did talk to them a few times while in the pool. Nice couple. 😃

We got into Cocoa at about 1:12 and stopped at Ryan’s Pizza & Pub for lunch. It was good, although our server was a bit off her game….she never refilled our waters and messed up the order, but whatever. We sat and talked and enjoyed the fact that our drive was pretty much over!! I got an espresso martini, it was just ok, but DH’s drink, the Ryan's River Runner was GOOD! Not too sweet, with excellent flavors. He got a sausage, pepperoni & pineapple pizza (we have leftovers in the hotel fridge for breakfast tomorrow!!) and it was so ooey gooey & cheesy, it looked delicious! I got the chicken parm sub, which was yummy, but in the future I think I’d go with a pizza like him…it looked (and tasted according to him) fantastic!

We love Ryan's but we always sit at the bar there. Sorry that your server wasn't at the top of her game. Love their pizza, especially the Jersey pie! Are you planning to meet up with Knights on the Beach?

yes, but the issue with the interior Havanas on deck 5 is that some are near the bar (and the associated bandstand noise). Also, ALL the interior Havana cabins on deck 5 are over the MDR, and have speakers in the floor, so when the music is turned up when the waiters dance, you can CLEARLY hear it. This last point bothers some more than others.

28 days in Havana interiors on Deck 5 and never had issues with the above. YMMV. 😎

We live about 30 minutes from Galveston so the majority of our cruises have been out of there although we are going to have to start flying to Florida more so we can do some new ports.  We sailed on the Vista in 2018 in a Havana cabana and absolutely loved that area.  We are looking at booking another cruise on the Vista just so we can book another Havana room.

We are sailing on the Jubilee next year at the end of February.  We were going to fly to Florida, but when we realized there would be a new ship in port we changed our minds.  Looking forward to it.

Thank you for another wonderful review and look forward to future ones.

Thanks for reading! The Vista Class Havana area is a home run for sure! We are looking forward to our mega road trip next March to NOLA and Galveston. Our first time cruising from these ports! 😎

Around the middle of the work day yesterday I started having that classic scratchy feeling in the back of my throat. Over night last night it turned into thick green fleghm and loogies... By the time I got up I had a little bit of a runny nose, but nothing terrible. Looks like just a minor case of the cruise crud likely caught while standing shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of other passengers waiting for disembarkation which was a total disaster... Anyhoo, I feel good enough to work today, and that's good since I don't have any more paid personal days off this calendar year.

I'll continue with Aruba as soon as I can get a break here at the 'ol salt mine...

Yep, sounds like the cruise crud to me. You can knock it down with over the counter meds, which you should do. Left alone it could turn into bronchitis. Been there, done that. :classic_cool:

This couple boarded Venezia in February. They get off at the end of this cruise. Four months on board. They retired and booked it to hit 1,000 days on this sailing

As much as we love the Venezia,  three weeks is long enough. If we were ever lucky enough to be able to cruise four months straight,  we would have to switch ships a few times. 😎

Wait…. “Cancel Debarkation” is an option??

As a Diamond member you don't really need this. You will receive a debarkation letter that will tell you what time and where to meet for priority self assist or luggage debarkations. First off in either instance. Same for platinums. 😎
