Vista has the dumb elevators. The forward elevators don’t all go to all of the floors so you have to look at the labels. I think what they were trying to do was mimic the glass elevators since it’s the first ship without a them. So some of them only go between 3 and 10. Then a couple of them go all the way up. It’s dumb.

That's why we do Havana on the Vista. The aft elevators are smarter. They all go from bottom to top. 😁

Isn’t there one Vista class ship without the smart elevators? I feel like it’s Vista or Panorama.

I’ll be honest - between main theater bar seating and smart elevators, solo cruise might seek these ships out.

Spirit class is solid with huge Punchliner bar seating too.

Yes, the Vista doesn't have the smart elevators. 😎

Was looking at a cruise on the Vista at the Havana Interior cabins. The offer my sister has, we could do a guarantee cabin for $900 less than if we picked our own cabin. All the Havana cabins are in the back part of the ship, correct? Would there be a bad location that we might get if we went with a guarantee? $900 is a lot of money. 🙂

In our opinion, if it saves $900, no.😎

Great wrap up, Jeff! I'm looking forward to following along on your future cruises and hope our paths cross again sooner rather than later! We've been on vacation all week (at a resort, not cruise) and I thought I'd have plenty of time to read CC but I'm not taking my phone in the lazy river. 😂 I'll have to catch up on the other threads on the way home tomorrow.

Thanks Beth! I'm sure our paths will cross again, whether it be on land or at sea. Enjoy the rest of your vacation! 😀

Loved your review Jeff! Sorry to see this one over 😞 It also looks like we are going to just miss you on Jubilee next year as we are getting off when you are getting on (unless I can convince DW to do a B2B, but it's the same itinerary so not sure that will fly).

Looking forward to your next cruise 🙂

    Convince her!! 😁

Jeff, thank you and Patti so much for sharing another adventure with us.  Patti's photos were fantastic, and brought back many memories for me of the Vista.  She is very much missed in Galveston. The Jubilee is also a beautiful ship and I hope you two enjoy sailing on her next year. I really look forward to following you both again on your next adventure! Thank you again. 😊

We were glad to have you along for the ride! 😀

It wasn't a free lunch, it was whether there would be a free show with the curtains open and the balconies being cleaned today.  Paul decided not to put on a show.

After consuming 15 with Cheers plus an additional 5 at the Diamond lunch, Paul was a beast yesterday and forgot his liquid IV today.

He doesn't need no stinking Liquid IV. Look at him go today! 😁

I start the car up and it says change engine oil soon. Oil life 0%. I wasn’t due for a change till fall. I text my service advisor. She gives me my mileage the last time I was in. I’m supposed to be good for another 4k miles.

She says all they can do is change my oil to be safe or have me manually watch my miles and bring it in at the appropriate time.

In the end I’m bringing it in for an oil change and the shop is going to reimburse me.

They should be able to reset so it shows 100% Oil Life, otherwise you're going to get that warning every time you start the car. Then you can count the miles yourself until it needs the oil change. :classic_cool:
