Hi.  I too, have vertigo (i'm 54)  but my symptoms are not that bad yet.  I certainly feel the motion while on board and it honestly stays with me a good month or more after I disembark.  I find that now I will only book mid-ship and somewhat lower decks (need a balcony!) to help ease it.  

Inner ear issues are no fun  I've been living with tinitus since I was a teen and it just gets worse and worse.  I hope you get some good feedback here!

I just got off Odyssey yesterday morning, had a BLAST, BTW.  My wife and myself both had the ultimate beverage package.  We were traveling with a group of 13 family members, including my sister-in-law who did not purchase a beverage package, and my of-age step daughter.  

 

On several occasions, feeling generous, I would approach the bar or bartender and order two drinks.  I told them one is for me on my drink package and one I'll pay for as I'm buying it for someone else.  On day two or three, upon looking at my account, I still saw no charges.  So, I inquired with one of the bartenders with whom I had become familiar.  He told me that they just used the voucher.  So they did it without me even asking, so it seems they do not have a problem with it.

 

I continued this practice throughout the week at multiple bars on multiple occasions, and never received a charge.  Being Diamond, I knew I had up to four beverages available a day, I do not think I ever did it that many times. But I never once received an additional charge.

 

With this cruise, we reached Diamond Plus.  Already receiving five beverages a day, I'm highly doubtful that the beverage package is worth it. So, the REAL through process was wondering if the two of us were traveling together, could get one Deluxe package (and don't start with the "everyone-in-the-room has to get an alcohol package" bit, there have been countless examples where that simply isn't the case), and the ten vouchers would more than cover the other person?

Not to further muddy up anything, but I'm on Odyssey Jan 23 (Diamond) and last time in August on Symphony in lieu of everyone flocking to the Diamond Lounge, they let us have free drinks between 5&8pm at any bar on the ship.  Was this still the case?

(of course this is in addition to the preloaded vouchers..)

Hi!  I just booked your cruise last night!  I'm cruising solo and don't mind the seas days at all, but I understand your dilemma.  susan

Eeek!  nerves are kicking in... I am boarding Symphony tomorrow.  Had the PCR test done on Thursday and still waiting for results.  In the meantime should I go get a rapid test? would Royal even take that as a back up if for some reason the PCR is not in by noon tomorrow when I am supposed to board?  

and yes, I am vaccinated..

I can see where it has been dropped for September sailings but can’t seem to confirm for August

ok, so I am somewhat now confused.  I did receive the email yesterday from Royal.  We booked February 23, 2021 and are both fully vaccinated ...  Do we have to buy insurance?  The way I read the email was that unvaxed pax needed to buy insurance.  

If we show up at the pier and we were supposed to have purchased it, is it something we can do onsite? help! Cruising Aug 29th...   thx. Susan

Hi.  We are booked in a suite on Symphony end of August.  Do we need to wait until we board to set up a reservation? I don't see it listed in the drop down menu under dining.

With the latest CDC news from last week, are the ships only sailing at 50% capacity or 1000 max pax if the pax are 95% vaccinated?  Or has this changed?
