  1. Brownie54,

One of the reasons Jamie and Dana are the CD/ACD on the WC - beside their vast experience and the terrific job that they do - is that they are a couple and share a cabin on the ship which frees up the usual ACD cabin for the Social Hostess.

I think that all the other cruises on the Navigator do not have a Social Hostess.

Jamie and Dana are on the Navigator now, by the way but I'm reasonably sure that is the case - no Social Hostess.

  2. Lana,

I am not a drinker - club soda/no ice/lime - and have traveled solo for several years.

The Social and Solo Travelers get-together has always been nice - hosted by the Social Hostess, members of the Production group, lecturers, entertainers etc. We meet for a "drink" - or not - about 6:30 and then go to dinner around 7pm. It's very informal and has always been very pleasant.

If you have other plans for dinner, y

ou can go for a drink and then go to whatever you plan to do.What is nice is that it is always "there".

    I hope you try it . . .

  3. The Social Hostess sends invitations to meet in one of the Lounges at about 6:30pm - if I am correct, it is also listed in Passages - with the option to continue to dinner at about 7pm. When I have gone, the group has been nice and the evening very pleasant.

This happens every night and if for some reason you do not get an invitation, showing up is just fine.

  4. The reason the 2017 WC had so many Full Cruisers was that it was the first one Regent had done in a number of years (2010? or 2011?). 2018 was more "normal" I expect.

I have no idea what the number is for '19 but assume it will be closer to the '18 number than '17.

And I agree with the other posters - Gilly, Carolyn, Wendy - sailing for less than the full cruise is not an issue.

  5. Gilly is correct - the only walls on the Navigator which are still magnetic are across from the bed - in a standard suite. The rest are have wall coverings which limit the possibility. I'm sure RallyDave is correct but the "old" magnets work on the uncovered walls.

On the Explorer, I couldn't find a wall to use magnets in several different suites - again, the fault of the wall covering.
