Rich,
Love your blog as always! I have the Daisy painting in my cabin - it certainly is cheerier than the one you posted!
Please say hello to Alex and tell him we miss him here. A good guy - knowledgeable and helpful.

I've been to Prime7 several times on this cruise and it has not been completely full so I don't think getting reservations is all that difficult assuming you have some flexibility - date/time. I don't have a butler so have no idea if that makes a difference.
Many of the items on the menu are unique to the restaurant and not options in Compass Rose . . . . .

The walls on the Explorer have heavy/thick paper and my magnets didn't work - including heavy duty hooks. Magnets should be fine on the Mariner.
The walls over the desk/sofa are papered but the rest are not.
I have not been on the Mariner since dry dock but have been on the Navigator and assume the situation is the same.

We were sitting at the next table to Donna and her husband last night and we all sang - along with a number of staff - to celebrate their anniversary.
Happy Anniversary!
And yes, Mario and Maggie are terrific. And Mario knows he was mentioned on CC!

The leis are beautiful - I watched as number of people walked by the Coffee Corner/Computer room . . . . and did see a couple up close!

Donna is right - the M&M was very nice.
Someone suggested we all introduce ourselves which was a good idea - putting faces with our screen names works! The first time I've seen it happen.
Since I'll be on for a while, I think I will suggest it going forward.
Thanks . . . .Peggy

Wendy,
I reread my last posting and think maybe it sounded rude. I didn't mean it to be that at all. The whole Luggage Forward experience has been very frustrating and I think that is what came through in that post.
I'm sorry.

Wendy,
I've been using luggage delivery services for more than 20 years and this is only the second time there have been ANY issues. My first experience with Luggage Forward has been disappointing.
I am sure that the luggage in the Luggage Forward warehouse will get to the pier as expected.

Scraonana,
Luggage Forward was the service Regent contracted with for their Luggage shipping service. I don't know which firm HAL uses.
-
Thanks HotRoot,
I appreciate the details.
See you next week!

HotRoot,
Are you saying your luggage sent via Luggage Forward was picked up by FedEx?
I asked for that, the tags I got were for UPS and when I spoke to someone at Luggage Forward I was told I was wrong, they didn't use FedEx.
Were yo able to track your cases to CA, to the warehouse?
I'd really appreciate the information since my experience was not happy.
TIA . . .Peggy

Wendy,
I'm told by Luggage Free that the warehouses they use are temperature controlled. I've never had an issue. And as you said - included pressing is good!

Scrapnana,
I'm curious: Luggage Forward? UPS?
I too have had my bags picked up 3 weeks before my trip but was able see far more detailed tracking and it was with a company I've used for many years.

I just checked the UPS/Luggage Forward web site and both my cases are in Bell, CA. I have no clue where that is in relation to Inglewood.
Go Bucks, you situation is much more confusing than mine. I agree - you need to get the date fixed and talking to someone at Oceania is a good start.
I'll be following your saga . . . .

Go Bucks,
I'm having issues as well - I'm on the Regent WC, leaving from LA and live on the East Coast. My bags are supposed to be at the Luggage Forward warehouse tonight or tomorrow but the last post on UPS was 12/19!. So I have my finger - and toes - crossed that the bags will get there. And then to the ship on January 4th.
Please let Oceania know about your issues . . .I plan to tell Regent.
Not a happy camper re: Luggage Forward.

Go Bucks,
Was it you who had some issues with Luggage Forward? I think I remember you're sailing on oceania's WC. If you did, did they get resolved?
And another question: how far are you from the sailing port?
TIA . . .

Luggage Forward "perk" for Full Cruisers only on Regent (both ways) - it makes no difference which cabin category you are booked in.

Go-Bucks!
Sorry . .

All Full World Cruisers.
-
Wendy,
Yes, the shipping for the 2 bags - 50lbs - is to/from the ship. This relates to Regent, I assume any other lines which offer this perk do the same thing.

HotRoot,
Mine were in Easton PA 24+ hours ago - no update so far today.

flossie009,
World Beat is my favorite Production show of all times. I'm glad you enjoyed it too.
Enjoy the last few days of your cruise and your time in Capetown.
And safe travels
