There is a wash line in the Shower-only Concierge cabin on the Mariner and since the configuration is the same for the Superior/Deluxe/Veranda cabins, my assumption is that there is one in those categories as well.

Before we got off the Mariner in Fremantle in mid-March, the Staff was serving the food in Coffee Corner and doing the coffee for us as well.

5pm eastern - yes, I got an email

Is it to start at 4pm(it is now 4:14) or 5pm?

One more "positive note": the European and Caribbean cruises on the Splendor all have lecturers. I see that as a good sign. I don't think they were there before.
Terry Bishop is on several of the earlier ones . . .

FYI: Based on the "old " schedule, the Mariner was due to go into dry dock - in Europe - at the end of the WC - early May.
I clearly have no clue what changes are being discussed in the Office - if any are at all.

And I think the ships need to sail to keep all the machinery functioning properly . .

There is a Naval Vessel on fire in San Diego Harbor so it is unlikely that the Mariner will go there. Probably a welding error.
Also, when I look at the tracking program, the ship seems to be headed north. Toward LA?
Time will tell

Looks that way - she's pointed toward shore/San Diego.

The Mariner has sailed past LA . . . now where?

The Mariner has sailed past LA . . . so where is she going?

My feeling is that Regent takes too much of a chance, doing this. If something happened - some one gets sick - , they would be tying up the two ships for some period of time.
I care, personally, since I'm supposed to sail on the Splendor in November and have friends due to board in October.
Time will tell . . .

Marc,
Any fact or simply a guess re: Jacksonville?
It seems highly unlikely to me. I have no information . . .

Sheila,
My preference is Regent too.
I've been in a PH, not a PS but I'm sure you'll be fine - room size-wise.
Anyway . . .enjoy!

Sheila and Herb,
I'm glad you booked a PH on the Serenity. The standard cabins are very small. The PH is very similar to the cabins on Regent.
Enjoy your cruise! And stay safe and stay well.

Thanks Peggy
We really don’t want to go into December to sail, as we are already booked on Splendor for a February 2021 cruise.
And, the price is really irresistible on the Crystal cruise. Two weeks, October 29-November 11th.
We were originally booked on the Barcelona-Miami cruise, November 13-28th. We switched because we thought it might be canceled.
I think I will give a deposit for the Crystal cruise. 😥We shall watch, and wait and see.

Sheila,
I understand - enjoy your time on Crystal! And I hope we'll have a chance to sail together in the future . . .

Sheila,
As I'm sure you know, the Splendor is doing 3 more Miami->Miami trips after the 11/28-12/9 cruise. Two of them are 7 days and the Holiday trip - 12/21/2020-1/4/21 follows the 2nd 7-day trip.
Just a thought!

Pcardad,
I want to say thank you for all your very helpful information on all sorts of subjects! Very much appreciated.

From Susie >>I was under the impression that Regent tends not to fill the tour buses to maximum capacity, anyway. Is that correct? <<
Yes, that is correct. I've taken many of Regent tours over the years and the only time I remember a FULL bus was in Colon in early 2020. Most are about 2/3-3/4 full. No complaints about that.

Peggy, my guess is that the Navigator is going into dry dock at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genova.
Dave
- You could be right - I don't know . . . . Peggy

Karen,
No-one debarked in Barcelona.
The Navigator is due into dry dock in early June. I don't know where.

A bit of information: The Mariner will not do Alaska in 2021 - she will stay in Europe after the 21World Cruise and after the planned dry dock.
The Explorer will be in Alaska starting in late April/early May and ending in mid September.
FYI . . .

There is some very senior Staff on the Joy with our Crew. I'm sure they are making sure that everything is going well for everyone.

I'm watching the hurricanes too . . . .
And - back to the subject of this thread - I booked tours on b2b Alaska trips in July.
